Is BOM required in both plants in strock transfer scenario

Dear SAP Gurus,
In Make to Order Scenario,  Plant1 is Process Plant and Plant 2 is Sales Plant.
Actually Customer place the order from Plant2,  Material require Sales BOM,  how do we transfer the stock from Plant1 to Plant2.
In Plant2 client only maintain Finished Goods.
do we have to maintain the BOM componets in Plant2 also.
very urgent,
thanks in advance,
Sathya..............

Hi Sathya,
1.You are telling that sales BOM is required and sales is happening in the plant 2, so you need to main tain the sales BOM in the plant 2 only.
2. You are manufacturing at Plant 1 then you are sending the goods to the plant2 through STO right, here maintaining the BOM depends upon you, If you are sending the material as components to plant2 there is no need of BOM,or If you are planning to send the material with the combination of components then you require BOM same as Plant2
I hope it will help you
Thanks,
Murali.

  • Requirement from other plant.

    Hi Gurus,
There are plants A and B. Plant B is in need of service parts. Plant A is also not having stock for same parts then creates Purchase order for some vendor and corresponding requirement is triggered in plant B with reference as Procurement should be carried out in plant B. Plant B then purchase required parts for plant B. How this scenario can be mapped in SAP. Is there any way to map this? Please guide with detail steps.
    Regards,
    Pradeep

    Hi
You can do that with the help of special procurement key in SAP. You need to define your own special procurement key for your plant in t.code OPPQ. Give your plant. Then click in special procurement. Create new entries.Give procurement type F and tick with draw from alternate plant or other options as per your requirement. Then Then assign it in masterial master for the required masterials. So that requirements in one plant is reflected in other plant.

  • Requirement Of FG in one plant triggers the MRP or requirement in another plant

    Hi Experts,
    My requirement is as follows,
There are 2 Plants, One is Warehouse depot and another one is Manufacturing Plant located at two different physical locations.
Warehouse is also defined as Plant only. Customer will give the requirement of FG to warehouse but not to manufacturing Plant.
Now, when Warehouse will transfer this requirement to manufacturing plant, it should trigger the requirement in it and BOM explosion and raw material requirement for that FG will be created accordingly.
How can I achieve this and what configuration i need to do for this?
Note: FG Material code is same in both Plants.

    Hi Shripad,
You can utilize the special procurement key '40' or '80' in MRP 2 tab of the material in your Warehouse. Refer to this page for a more detailed explanation: Planning and Production Alternate Plant.
According to the term used in that process, your Warehouse will be the 'Planning Plant' and your manufacturing plant will be the 'Production Plant'. Requirement from the 'Planning Plant' will trigger requirement in 'Production Plant'. If you're using '40', after GR from production, you will need to 'ship' the stock to your 'Planning Plant', while if you're using '80', GR from production will update your stock in 'Planning Plant' directly.

  • Considering stocks of both plants in special procure. type scenario.-urgent

    Hi dudes,
Our client is using special procurement type 80(prod.in alternative plant), he is getting planned order in delivering plant as requirement generated by planning plant. while running MRP in both plants, it would consider only the stock of planning plant but not the stock of delivering plant suppose stock is made in delivering plant individually(say manual orders). As the requirement generated by planning plant, the planned order will be generated in delivering plant irrespective of its individual stock.
can we make the system to consider what ever the stock in delivering plant and create no planned order if stock is there.
    thanks in advance
    Robert

    Robert,
If that was your requirement why not use Special Procurement key 70 (Withdraw from alternate plant). In this case system only creates reservation and Planning at Supplying plant will be based on the Net requirement calculation considering all recipets, Stock and Issues.

  • SAP PP BOM Synchronization in mass plant

If BOM A exist in Plant 1000 ,Plant 2000 and Plant 3000,
Once BOM A changed,How to update the BOM information in plant 1000,2000,3000.
Mustn't we do the changes in BOM A  three times?
Is there any solution in standard SAP system with BOM Synchronization ?

    Hi,
Group BOM is created using transaction CS01 only without specifying the plant. This cannot be used in production.
Using CS07 transaction you assign this group BOM to different plants as required.
While referencing it is required that all the materials should be existing in the plants to be referenced with relevenat views.
    Thanks,

  • Mass Extension of BOM to a New Plant

    Dear all
I have BOMs master data in the system for Plant 1000.
However, I would like to perform mass extension these BOMs master data to Plant 2000.
Can I use CS20 or other methods to do?
    Thanks
    Joseph

    Dear Joseph,
There is no T Code to perform this activity in mass, create a BDC for the same and go ahead.
For individual material you can assign the plant through CS05.

  • Impact of merging plant B to plant A. Both plants are under the same CoCode

    Hello Gurus,
May I request please for your assistance on the query I have. We are about to merge plant B to plant A (when i say merge, we'll also merge all existing SLOC under plant B to plant A), and with that I'd like to know if what would be the impact of this merger. Please note that both plants are under the same company code.
Also, since the plan is to no longer post tansactions for plant B until March, then is it ok to deactivate plant B and it's storloc afterwards? The plan is to complete or close first all open and pending transactions for plant B until March then deactivate it. Is it ok to deactivate it by then? Will it not cause an impact?
Please help and advise. Your inputs would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Regards,
    Lee T

    Hello Ajay,
Thank you very much for your response. I have taken note of it. But could you advise if there's an impact if we activate it? What is the impact on the storloc assigned to it? Where should the deactivation take place? Is it in the plant level or storloc level?
    PLease help.
Thank you very much in advance.

  • App-V 5.0 SP3 SQL Script modifications (KB3031340) Required for both Management and Reporting Databases?

Can anyone confirm if I need to modify the InsertVersionInfo.sql and Permisioins.sql scripts for both the APP-V Management and Reporting databases?  KB3031340 only references the Management Database, but I suspect it is required for both.
    Thank You!

It should only apply to Management Database. There weren't any changes to the Reporting DB AFAIK.

  • Production in Aternative Plant with stock transfer

    Hello,
For our MTO process we have prototyped several scenarios for production of configurable materials over more plants, all based on special procurement keys.
Scenario 1: procured from other plant with stock transfer (41)
Scenario 2: production in alternative plant (80)
With respect to the configuration process and ATP, scenario 2 has our preference. There is one discrepancy, since the plants are far away from each other we need a stock transfer (and paperwork for transportation) between the 2 plants.
However a feature of production in an alternative plant is that the GR of the semi-finished good is directly in the planning plant.
Of course we can do a transfer order w/o reference for the semi-finished good from plant A to plant B but nothing is triggering this process and for us no option.
Any idea how to get such process nicely streamlined? Is there a usable workaround?
    Thanks, Hans
(note: If no clues, I intend to bring it in as a request for  SAP customer influence)

    Thanks Vaibhav,
All required CTP settings maintained and ther is PDS in alternative production plant too. The reason being when I remove special proc key APO CTP created planned order for the deficit qty.
Did you mean to say Original plant means planning plant? but there proc type has to be E with special proc as "80" .SPRO setting is maintained.(maintained Location Determnation settings as you mentioned) I have already tried "X"
    but  did not work..

  • Intercompany and Intracompany (plant to plant) Stock Transfer scenarios

    Hello!
I have an issue regarding Intercompany and Intracompany (plant to plant) Stock Transfer scenarios.
    We are implementing Brasil.
Brasil has 11 different plants and all of them can transfer stock to each other, so the Intracompany stock transfer scenario has to be done for this country.
Brasil also sends products to other countries (also with SAP implemented) from one of the 11 plants, so the Itercompany stock transfer scenario also has to be customized for Brasil and for at least one of the plants in Brasil.
We have a distribution channel for Replacement market (L1), and another distribution channel for Export market (L7).
In the scenario described above we have one plant being used for both scenarios, for Intracompany Stock Transfer and for Intercompany Stock Transfer, by two different distribution channels (Replacement market (L1), and another distribution channel for Export market.
In the customizing we have a unique plant, but we have two different sales areas to be assigned to it, in order to be able to execute those processes.
    My question is:
If the customizing to be done for the both scenarios is the same, my request is to have both scenarios for the same plant, and I have two different Sales Area for each scenario, is there a way to make both scenarios work together for the same plant and different sales area?
    Best Regards
    Cristina

Please dont post the same question in multiple forums.  Continue in one thread

I recently switched from PC to Mac and am able to find and transfer most of the larger files of music to iTunes, but there are about 750 songs that are held in sub-files that require me to dig in and transfer them one by one to iTunes.. I've tried transferring the parent folders, but it doesn't seem to work.  Does anyone know of a more efficient way of getting iTunes to dig into the subfolders and transfer the music without me having to go one by one?

There is a good general guide to switching from Windows to Mac at the following link that touches on moving music as well How to Move to a Mac - Get your stuff from your PC to your new Mac
    There are also these guides:

  • Project material requirements to consider plant stock first

In some ERP systems, we have project specific BOMs and when the requirements are exploded and netted, the system first tries to see if the demand can be met from plant stock. If full or partial demand can be met from the plant stock, the system recommends a stock transfer order from general (plant) inventory to the project.
Any unmet requirement generates a project specific 'mrp-planned' order (purchase or production recommendation). This way, the planners and financial can see what existing plant stock can be used for a project and they can use this info for financial planning. Once the planner determines that the existing plant stock is usable for the project, he/she can confirm and 'execute' the transfer order which prings the plant stock to the project stock. For engineering or technical reasons (single lot date code requirements) the planner can choose not to accept the stock transfer recommendation (either fully or partially) and manually create purchase recommendation to cover the quantity.
I have read some posts here but it is not clear that IN SAP PS if the collective indicator is set (or not set), would one be able to see, either directly or indirectly, what plant stock is recommended to be transferred as project stock?
Can the behavior of described ERP system be modeled?
    Thanks, experts.

    Hi,
Please also try the following settings in Material Master to consider the item from plant stock ..
    View : MRP1
    MRP Type : PD
    Lot Size : MB
    View : MRP 2
    Procurement Type : F
    View : MRP 3

  • Production in both plant

    Dear PP Guru,
I have two plants 1000 & 2000.HERE mrp is not running. They are creating manual production orders. But now they have one requirement that:They want to manufacture one Finish material A in both the plant i.e.A having five operation but first two operation is held in Plant 1000 & another three is in 2000 plant. How we can  map this in system. It will affect with other module or not??
Kindly  suggest me solution on this.
    Regards,
    YS

    Hi,
You can use operation subcontracting scenario. if 2000 is procuring material and getting processes first two operations from 1000 and futher 2000 is processing remaining 3 operations. Use operation subcontracting scenario. Define Plant 1000 as vendor and get the job processes from the vendor. for operation subcon you need to use control key PP02 in routing for operation nunmber 20. this will trigger the PR for subcontract. based on this PR create Po and send material against this.
    and get it processed.

    Mandar.
