Is browser support for .png acceptable?

Is anything rendered if .png images are not supported?
Is there a way to test for .png support and serve appropriate
files.
Am using CFMX if that helps.
Cheers,

    kindly suggesting :
color space support for png files, requiring the support (read/write) of the chunks: iCCP, cHRM, gAMA, sRGB

    Hi ChrisT,
Thanks for the suggestion. I went to:

Which is the software update page for my model. I see 10 items under Software Solutions, 8 of which are just video tutorial updates, not actual application updates (and none of those are for the Photo App). The two application updates are:
HP TouchSmart Recipe Box Application Update
    HP Support Assistant Application Update
So, are you saying that PNG file types are supported in some versions of the Photo App and I don't have the correct version? Or in other words, what am I missing?

how do you remove os support for png?
    #EasyModeOff

Time to dial down on the crazy and explain the reasoning behind such a drastic move.
ICMP is part of the TCP/IP stack, you can't just pull it out like a block on top of a tower, your NIC will stop working if you try to mess with it.
However, you can put your computer in stealth mode, which it will ignore various incoming requests.

  • TouchSmart Photo App and Support for PNG files?

Please, somebody tell me that I'm crazy and that the TouchSmart Photo app really can be made to support PNG file types! If not, who designed this software!? Can't browse the network for content stored on an HP MediaSmart Server. Can't view PNG files in the Photo application. What else can't this software do!?

  • Remote login, htaccess and simulated browser support for frames

There is this remote, hosted web application that I want to connect to and add/change some content on-the-fly (eg. parse the page before it is sent to the client's browser). The first problem is how to login to this remote site that requires a frames-based browser. Is there anything in the Java arsenal that can emulate a browser with frames support?
Assuming there is and we can login, what would be the best way to parse the page before it is sent to the client's browser? Should I use htaccess to detect the page and have another page process it? Any ideas or suggestions would be welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.

I have no issues using remote panels in Firefox (2.0) I believ 1.5 worked as well.

  • Browser support for RoboHelp 9 WebHelp / not working on IE7

Does Adobe have an official list of what browsers are compatible with RH9's WebHelp?
My output works fine on IE9, but in IE7 the TOC is blank and the search doesn't work.

I'm not sure what it is in my reply that you are referring to when you say "News to me" or are you just passing on some information you have just found?
As with IE7, Chrome should also work with RoboHelp 9 generated output provided it is on a web server. Whilst you may not have to support Chrome, it does seem odd that browser is also not working.

  • Medadata Browse support for resolution and specific folder/folders

I REALLY like the "make virtual copy" feature. Unfortunately I find that at time I end up cropping an image too much for a specific size print (ie enough pixels to support a 4x6 but not an 8x10).
It would be really nice if I could specify a folder and have it "filter out" (via Metadata Browser) those images that are greater than (<) or less than (>) a specified resolution. If you wanted to go the extra step, you could even "candy coat" the feature by saying show me the images where resolution is sufficient for 4x6 print. (On second thought, perhaps you could not get everyone to agree what those pre-set resolution "thresholds" would be ;-)
    Thanks for the consideration.
    Jon

You can do the specific folder thing. Click in the metadata browser on whatever you want, and then control-click on a folder or folders.

Please take a look at the Client Certification. It lists all of the browsers that are certified for the Java version you are using. Also, you will need to modify your configuration to correctly list the Java Plug-in version you have installed. For information on how to configure the JPI, take a look at Oracle 10gR2 Forms Services – Using Sun's Java Plug-in.

  • Support for PNG

    Hello,
will LR ever support other file-formats like PNG, or the new PSD-Format?
Strange, that it is not already included, isn´t it?
    Greetings from
    EMSI68219

I am evaluating a copy of Lightroom, and if it cannot export PNG, it might not suite my needs.
I'm a little stumped as to why Adobe will not support their own formats in their own applications?

  • App / Browser Support for iPad bluetooth keyboard

I recently purchased the Zagg Slim Book (a bluetooth keyboard case) for my iPad air 2.
The main reason I bought this was so that I could use cloud IDE (code editors) such as cloud9 and code anywhere.
    However,
With these websites and other similar websites, i cannot use the arrow keys and on some websites I cannot even type at all within the site.
I used a keyboard checker website to see if it recognized my key presses, and while I was able to type, it said I was not pressing anything.
    - Note: I tried 5 different browsers including safari.
This leads me to believe that the keyboard is not doing the typing directly; rather, it must be handing the key presses off to the iPad which handles the output in some special way.
    So,
Can someone confirm what I am assuming?
I need to know how a bluetooth ipad keyboard is different than a normal keyboard so that I can know which one (if any) I should buy in order to use it within websites.
    - is it up to the keyboard manufacturers to determine how the output works?
    - Does apple have some sort of standard or api which manufacturers use to make their keyboard?
    - is there some sort of keyboard settings that I can change in the iPad settings that will change the output type?
Sorry if this belongs in developer section, I am hoping this is the right place.

Ahhh. This makes total sense now that I think about it.
However, why do apps work but websites do not?
    Thanks!

  • Feature Request: support previews for png files

    hello,
i like to see previews supported for png files.  This is a common file type and should be supported  Especially since it is one of the options supported for export to creative cloud from photoshop touch.  It would make a lot more sense.
    Thanks.
