Is Captivate 1 & 2 able to work on a vista computer

Hi,
Can anyone tell me for sure, if Cap 1&2 will work on a
Premium Vista Computer? Basically creating movies of Office 2003
and Photoshop applications.

LOL, contrary to what the folks over at Madcap may hope to
claim, I'm not sure Mimic has been out long enough to "rule
anyone's roost". It's all wait and see at this stage. I'm confident
Adobe will eventually create a Vista compatible version of
Captivate.
Should you decide to go the Mimic route, it's worth noting
that before it will work, you will have to download and install
additional software from Microsoft. Captivate simply installs and
away you go. It's not linked to additional software that if
Microsoft changes, may force a change in what you are using or
force an upgrade just to keep up with something Microsoft did.

Need help getting my itunes to work on my vista computer

I have been trying to run itunes on my home computer that is running vista 32 on it. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled more than once and I still get an error that states that I am missing an i***********.dll file. I have tried doing it under a new account on the computer and still does not work. I have tried running it as an admin, and still nothing. What else can I do?????????

Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. Now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post:

Something went wrong with the update, this can and does happen with every version of iOS.
There is nothing wrong with the update.
Simply restore the device via iTunes on the computer.
If iTunes is stating it will take hours to update, that indicates an extremely slow Internet connection and is likely the reason the OTA update failed.

What version of iPhoto and system are you running? On the guess that you're running the latest iPhoto, 9.4.2, Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the thumnails, Option #2.
2 - It may take 2-3 attempts so don't give up after only one attempt.

Your iPhone will work there even if you keep your current US carrier. However, you'll get hit with the high international charges.
If you want a local carrier you have to have an unlocked iPhone. If you do not have one they are easy to busy as the Aussie's require an unlocked option on mobiles unlike the US.
One word of advice. If you plan on getting a land line in your home or cable TV. Look to the same carrier for both your iPhone and land line. Aussie mobile charges are different than what you are use to in the states. You will have to a lot of reading between Aussie carriers to see which plan you want. Getting the wrong plan can be costly.
All Aussie carriers that offer land lines do not charge if you are calling someone with the same carrier. If you have OPTUS then anyone with OPTUS means no charge, it's free except if you have the wrong text message plan. Call from OPTUS to Virgin and you'll get hit with charges.

Captivate 7 preloader not working - with screen captures for clarity

Hi Community,
so I'm working in the Captivate 7 trial version, because the preloader for Captivate 6 isn't working for me. We have a ~48MB project with mp3's on almost every slide, flash videos, flash animations, quizzes and plenty of jpegs.
Before we publish the project we make sure we click everything that's needed, but because it's still not working I took screen shots of all the settings. Maybe I'm missing something, I would appreciate your help.

I'm assuming here that your preloader animation is at least appearing when you are loading the file so that you KNOW it IS working.
Try setting your preloader progressively higher until you find the percentage at which the load times start INCREASING again. If you have a lot of videos in your project, setting the preloader at a very low value like 10% doesn't necessarily affect the load times that much because Captivate still has to load a certain amount of the total number of assets before it can start to play anyway. It could be that you have a whopping great event video right near the start of the project and that's what is causing the lengthy delay.
If your issue is still with the preloaders NOT appearing at all, then the only settings that would affect this are the ones on the Preferences > Project > Start and End > Preloader path and percentage. The path looks to be fine, but if preloader animations are not visible at all, try changing to a different preloader. Maybe only SOME of them work. The Default.swf preloader is usually reliable.
