For what purpose? The iPad only has the BT profiles for keyboards, speakers, headsets, car systems and sharing an internet connection. You can't transfer files over BT.

When you open the text message and it is showing on your screen, is there a scroll bar to the right? Can you use the arrow keys to scroll? (The directional arrows around the OK button?)

2. To display the message, select View Now and press the Center Select Key (OK button)
From there you should be able to use the directional keys to scroll through the received message.

Casio Commando issue with Windows 7

My stepfather just got a Casio Commando and is having trouble accessing his MicroSD card from Windows 7
I have used many other Android devices in the past (my Eris included) and have never had an issue accessing the MicroSD card from a computer (though I have never used them on Win7, only Vista and earlier, and on OS X, mostly on XP and OS X 10.5)
When we tried connecting it, instead of getting a USB mode selection option in the pull down menu, nothing happens, the phone doesn't seem to notice that it is even connected to anything (doesn't even charge), when Win7 notices the Commando connected, it asks to install a driver (I think it said C117 or something like that) and says that it can't find one on Windows Update
When looking online, I was able to find the C117 driver, but upon installing it, all that it would do was allow the phone to charge, the phone still didn't seem to notice it was connected to a computer
I tried it on my Macbook as well and it seems to work fine, just doesn't seem to work on Win7, is there some sort of incompatibility between the Android OS or the Casio Commando and Win7? If not, is there any reason why Win7 won't see the MicroSD card as a "Mass Storage Device"?

I have the issue as well and we SHOULD be able to expect a fix for transferring files via USB. At work my network is secure thus I can not use the network transfer listed below. At home this is fine (have not tested yet) but when I have work photos I need to be able to connect via USB (like my other work phones do) and transfer the files. I contacted Casio and they stated their support agreement with Verizon did not cover phones. So no I hope Verizon will get to work on this. I have also e-mail customer support.
Below is my e-mail to Casio where they denied me support. Hopefully things go better with VZW support.

Casio C771 update to gingerbread broke my Netflix HELP PLEASE

I recently updated my Casio Gzone phone and everything seemed to be fine. It looked better and a couple cool features. I went to open my netflix app and to my surprise nothing. It just blinks now wont open at all and it was working just fine when I had 2.2 now with 2.3.3 nothing. I wouldnt have done it if I was aware of this. Everything I have read says it should work and netflix has this model on its list. They say it will work on 2.2. How do I get it back? I would rather go back to 2.2. I have tried to sideload it too using the latest to the newest netflix apk. Still wont work. Can anyone help?

This has just happened to me. My phone (Samsung Intensity) worked great on Sunday. Sent and received several texts while at home on Sun during Steeler football game. Monday night, while sitting outside of my home in my driveway, could not make a call. Message said CDMA SERVICE NOT AVAILABLE. On the front of my phone it says Searching SVC. No bars. Icon of a cell phone with a diagonal line through it. Tuesday night, same. Didn't think about trying it at my office. Tried the dialing *228 send option 2 but that doesn't exactly work when the phone doesn't work. My husband's phone (Casio GZOne) also not working at our house.

Backup Assistant doesn't recognize PIN sent from phone....

I've been trying to backup my Casio GzOne contacts. I have been able to change the PIN from the phone keypad successfully, but when I try to do a backup I keep getting an Invalid PIN error.
There are 39 pending contacts on the phone to backup. If I select the "Sync to Phone" button on the Backup Assistant web site will BA pull those contacts from the phone and add them to the contact list on the web site, or will it push the contact list from the web site to the phone, causing the loss of the 39 contacts not backed up?
I bought a new smartphone and need to transfer my contact list.

I just had the same problem. What I finally did on the old enV Touch was
Go to "Media Center."
Go to "Browse & Download"
Scrolled down to "Backup Assistant" and clicked "Options."
I did an "Upgrade Check," which allowed me to upgrade to the latest version.
After that, my pin worked correctly. Good luck!

Casio Update Failed, Now phone wont load

I recently tried to use the VZW software update assistant to try and update my casio commando 4g lte phone, after it said it was updating for about 20 minutes it told me that the update failed and now the phone wont get past the GzOne Now Loading screen. Please help. This is a work phone and is desperately needed ASAP!

I purchased a Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE on 1-11-14. Android version 4.1.2, firmware version C811M040. When I check for software updates it says its current, although in the Info it shows "Update status: Failed Update"; "Last Activity at 20:27:07 12Jan04 MST"; "Reason code: 402"
What does this mean?
I am trying to solve the problem that the Phone's directory will not upload into my Nissan Pathfinder's Phone Directory. This phone is a Nissan supported and approved phone. After calling Nissan and going into Nissan service they said the problem, experienced by others as well, is a change that occurred in the last software update that is causing one of two problems:
1) Phones directory will not load at all...or
2) The directory loads, but when the car is turned off and restarted the directory is gone and needs to reload again.
Can you provide any insights to these two issue? Is there a more recent Android or Firmware update for this phone?

Just upgraded to Lion and can no longer import any .mov files ("file not supported") to 3.1.3. Also can no longer view any .mov or .mp4 files already in library.

Have been using Aperture 3.1.3 with no problems. Importing from a Nikon D80 (RAW & JPEG), Casio (.MOV) and Flip (.mp4). Could import and view all videos without issue prior to Lion upgrade. After Lion installation, can no longer import .mov files (get "file not supported" error) or even view any .mov or .mp4 files currently in library (even though thumbnail is present). Can watch the .mov files directly on my camera using Quicktime in Finder but can't even drag & drop that file into Aperture. Anybody else having similar problems?

Still no resolution and Geniuses at store could not assist. Unfortunately, it looks like not all the applications were ready to support the Lion operating system. We could not import any .mov files, could no longer view any .mov files already in my Aperture library and could not email any .mov files. Totally frustrated. Use Aperture almost daily and can't lose the video functionality. Was also running dog-slow. Constantly looking at the spinning wheel. Geniuses suggested that I wipe out hard drive and reinstall Snow Leopard. Had full backup on external drive with Time Machine.
Not an easy process though...had to reinstall several times (at 5 hours each time) because I continued to have issues. Finally figured out that I needed to delete every backup file from Time Machine on external drive from the date I installed Lion because some of the hidden files were still migrating back to Snow Leopard.
I had to:
1. Delete all time machine backup files from date/time of Lion installation forward
2. Do "clean" installation of Snow Leopard (wiped hard drive using disk utility and booted with Snow Leopard disc)
3. Chose option to reinstall from backup off Time Machine which eventually got me back to Snow Leopard desktop
4. Deleted Aperture program and reinstalled (I had to install Aperture 2 and then install Aperture 3 upgrade.
5. Reinstalled iLife apps
5. Applied all Apple updates available (again this took a few hours because there were several updates from Snow Leopard's original release plus Aperture 3 and other application updates)
Still doing some tweaking on some of my other apps but got everything back to where I originally was. Now plan to wait on a few version updates from Lion before reinstalling.

How are you trying to transfer them? Via Bluetooth? If so, that will not work.
You need to get the contacts from the Casio phone into a supported contact manager on your computer (Address Book/Contacts on a Mac or Outlook on a PC) then sync them to the iPhone via iTunes or iCloud.

Transferring phone numbers from old Casio Boulder

With Windows, the iPhone supports syncing contacts with Outlook 2003, 2007, or 2010 along with syncing calendar events and notes, and with the address book used by Windows Mail with Windows 7 called Windows Contacts or Windows Address Book for syncing contacts only.
You need to get the contacts exported from the Casio in a format that is supported by importing with a supported address book application on your computer.
Certainly Casio provided some option for exporting the contacts in a format that would be supported by importing into an address book application on your computer, or syncing the contacts with an app on your computer that is provided by Casio, or possibly with a 3rd party alternative.

Can't import from CASIO EX-Z700 in '08

Previous version of iphoto worked fine with Casio exilim ex-z700. Now when I connect the camera it spins "loading photos" for a very long time as it tries to preview them in the Import pane. Then, it shows outlines of thumbnails with no images there. When I try to import it gives me an error saying the filetype can't be recognized. (they're jpegs or .avi's) same error for pics or movies. I have reformatted the card, snappeed new shots- same error. I have connected a card reader instead of camera and same problem. I have tried using different cards with the same problem. This leads me to believe its an issue with iPhoto and the newest version. I AM able to open the folder in the finder and drag the files in- they import fine this way but its not an ideal method for me.
Anyone have any ideas or having similar issues with this or any casio?

What sometimes helps with this issue are
1. Repair permissions with Disk Utility
2. Go to http://www.apple.com/support/downloads and re-download and apply the 10.4.10 software update.

UPDATE: After 3 calls to Casio, I logged a request for them to release the Windows 7 driver for the C811 Commando. Called Verizon to complain.. a Verizon tech said the driver does exist and gave me a URL to a 3rd party website. There I found the driver for the Casio Commando 7xx phone. Downloaded it skeptically. Installed it. It is in fact a Casio driver, but after installation IT DOES NOT WORK WITH THE C811.
ATT: VERIZON TECH SUPPORT - WAKE UP! WE HAVE A PROBLEM HERE.

Upgrading to a Casio digital camera, EX-S770

I'm considering upgrading from my Minolta DiMage X digital camera to a Casio Exilim Card EX-S770. Questions:
1. The Casio camera has USB 2.0. Would it work okay with my USB 1.1 (and iPhoto 2.0.1 in Tiger 10.4.7 in my Quicksilver G4)?
2. My choice of the Casio is based on a MacWorld June 2006 review of ultra-compact digital cameras which had a good review of the Casio EX-S600. I also read a CNet review. The EX-S770 is new and therefore has few user reviews to date.

No. I'm saying that the Z1000 is USB-1.1 but Canon used the term "compatible with USB-2" so that prospective customers would incorrectly believe that it actually is USB-2. Canon didn't lie but, in my opinion, they were not entirely ethical.
If you happen to be familiar with the Casio Exilim Card EX-S600, how does it compare in performance with the EX-Z1000. From the reviews, I'm surmising that the former is quite acceptable in image quality but not as great as that from the latter.<<<</div>
I have no personal experience with the S600 (or the S770) but I would not expect you to be unhappy in any way. Personally, I think that they're both too small and light but that's the world today. (I come from the 35mm SLR world.) I chose the Z1000 because of total pixel count. Previously, I had used a 3 MP Canon. I've found that 3MP is perfectly satisfactory for 4X6 and 5X7 prints BUT you don't dare crop. Quite literally, you're removing pixels when you crop. Now, I can have a ball.
