Without even looking at it I would say probably not.  Many utilities of that kind are a solution looking for a problem.  I have all kinds of maintenance utilities on my Mac. I never use them.  My Mac has been running solid pretty much 24/7 since 2005.  The only one I use with any regularity comes on all Macs and is free.  Disk Utility.  Verify your hard drive periodically (before doing any backup, for example).  Repair permissions before installing software and afterward.

    Well first of all this is a public forum, so keep that in mind. The users here generally can not look up your case numbers.
    If AppleCare didn't work out for you, I believe your next step is

    Unfortunately, their case indexing is on a different database, and they will not be able to look up your case number either. However, their support is free, and despite it may take a few bounces of emails back and forth, there is a decent chance they may be able to get a solution.
    Or... you can still try to shoot the **** with us here, which is Ok as well. But you'll have to keep in mind we can't look up your case numbers.
    By the way, the link for a refund, I think is for the same link I just gave you, so on second though, mabye it's best to just go there.

    You may have installed the "VSearch" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
    Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
    Right-click or control-click the line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
    from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "com.vsearch.agent.plist" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
    Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
    Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin

    Step 2
    From the Safari menu bar, select
              Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
    Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot," "Trovi," or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
    Reset the home page and default search engine in all the browsers, if it was changed.
    This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
    You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that this Internet criminal has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

    It sounds like you are wanting to download an album that you pre ordered, not all the songs are downloading. First, use this section of the following article to see if the tracks download:

    When a pre-ordered item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know that you can download your pre-order.
    If you enabled the option to automatically download prepurchased content in iTunes, then your pre-ordered content may already be in your library. If not, click the download link provided in your email notification, and your pre-ordered content will begin to download. You can also use the Check for Available Downloads feature in iTunes on your computer (choose Store > Check for Available Downloads) to begin downloading your pre-order.

    iCloud can be used in two ways.
    The first is a central storage location for documents and data used by apps/applications, that enabled you to open that app/application on any device and see and work with your documents regardless of which device you are working on. A simple example would be to start a pages document on your Mac and then complete it on your iPad, without any copying, moving, uploading, searching through filing systems to make this happen.
    The second use is for back ups of your mobile device, which can be used to restore those devices should the need rise for whatever reason.
    The concept is all quite simple really, although it can become a little more difficult to understand where things might be going wrong if you find yourself in such a situation.

    What did Apple tell you about what they did (or did not) find here?
    See if working on the main disk is any faster.
    USB2 is glacial, as I/O interconnects go.  And USB2 disks have been known to fail, or sometimes to drop back to USB1 speeds, too.  FireWire 800 is substantially faster than USB2, but still not as fast as the internal drive connections can provide.
    Put another way, start varying your configuration, and see which configuration changes (still) have the problem, and which don't.

    What version of iPhoto are you using? 9.6 is the current version.
    Do a backup.
    Quit the application.
    Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.iPhoto.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
    Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
    If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

    Pearson put out a tech note on this today - the new versions of Java are what's causing the problem. If you can use Time Machine to rollback java prior to a java 7 or 1.6.0_37 version that will get you going again. I've been searching for hours for a place to download the older version but it seems Apple's site and Oracle all only have the latest release. Still trying to see if I have a copy downloaded on a system that hasn;t been updated to copy off to a network drive or usb and install the older version on to systems.

    Teachers using PowerTeacher Gradebook should avoid taking this Java update to version 1.6.0_37 until notified that PowerTeacher Gradebook has been certified with this latest version of Java 1.6 for Mac OS X. PowerTeacher Gradebook will continue to work on Mac OS X workstations with Java version 1.6.0_35.
      Additional communication will be provided once a workaround is identified or an updated version of PowerTeacher Gradebook is available.

    I hope someone here can help me out with my issue...
    I successfully installed MAC OS X Lion to my desktop to transition to iCloud. I prodceeded to do the same on my MacBook Pro. However, after restarting my laptop as prompted upon the installation completion, the following message popped up: "Install Failed. MAC OS X could not be installed on your computer. MAC OS X Lion couldn't be installed, because the disk is damaged and can't be repaired. Click Restart to restart your computer and try installing again."
    After pushing the restart button several times, the same message continues to pop up on my screen, not granting me access to my desktop and, consequently, my files.
    Anyone else had this issue when installing Lion on their MacBook Pro? If so, any success in getting the window off your screen and returning to the previous version (with all files intact)? Any guidance is greatly appreciated. I'm afraid I've lost everything I have on my laptop, as I'm not one who backs up early and often.

    The Original Poster had a failed disk, you spoke to '8' specialists about an iCloud transition!! I think you should start your own thread with your seperate issue and stop confusing this post for the person who started it. All you have done is complicate it.
