Is contribute 6.5 Compatible with Dreamweaver CC

I have a client that still needs the capabilities of a Contribute type CMS software. I have Adobe CC now. Though I know that Contribute 6.5 is a dying tool, its still available for sale. I just want to make sure there is compatibility with Adobe CC Dreamweaver.

They should be compatible, yes.

    Hello,
just to be safe you should test or validate your website there for example:

    HTML - http://validator.w3.org/

  • When will you make adobe compatible with Dreamweaver

I'm a UI Designer. I know light html and CSS. I don't want to have to figure out all the latest browser compatibilities, and I want to be able to avoid learning javascript/jquery but be able have cool effects in my website or client websites like parallax scrolling, lightbox, etc.
If you went about this in an intelligent manner, you would make this compatible with Dreamweaver for designers to update, for UI/UX designers to use as high fidelity prototypes that can be handed off to developers later, and for designers to import into Dreamweaver to finesse styles and change elements. If this doesn't happen, I can easily see this becoming a dinosaur like Web Objects Fusion and clients will be left with obsolete products.
PLEASE make this a useful product that plays well with Dreamweaver!

You have it backwards. Google (and other 3rd-party vendors) must make their products compatible with the browser.
    '''<u>Some Background Information</u>'''<br />
Included with every Firefox extension is a file named install.rdf. In that file is a parameter "em:maxVersion" which indicates the maximum Firefox version with which the extension '''<u>has been tested and approved by the developer</u>''' (Google, in this case). Only the developer (Google) is responsible for changing that parameter. Firefox enforces that parameter.
That said. Google and all other developers know where to find the Firefox release schedule for new versions and where to find the test versions (beta) to use to test their product. The location of the release schedule and the beta versions '''is no secret'''. Firefox 5, and all other versions, underwent several weeks of beta testing, during which third-party developers (Google) had an opportunity to do their testing and make necessary changes to make their product(s) compatible. In addition to the 4 weeks of beta testing for Firefox 5, Google has had an additional 19 days since the release of Firefox 5, to make their product compatible. '''<u>Ask Google what is keeping a compatible release from being introduced.</u>'''
'''<u>Google MAY be ceasing support for their toolbar in Firefox.</u>''' See the list of supported browsers in the following:
    '''<u>An add-on that may help</u>'''<br />
Many users have found that installing the following add-on will restore some (maybe all) functionality for Google's toolbar.

I want to know if a computer with a intel celeron processor is compatible with dreamweaver cc?

The system requirements list Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 as the minimum.
However, you could always download the 30-day free trial to test it for yourself.

  • Are files on Dreamweaver CC compatible with Dreamweaver CS6?

Does anybody happen to know about this? I am in a web design class and we're working on a midterm; the computers at my college has CS6, but now that I am home I have to work on the midterm with the CC version. I am curious if the Dreamweaver file at home will be affected when I get it on CS6. Last semester I made a similar mistake, but it was with InDesign CC. I am now worried that the same thing will happen with Dreamweaver.

Don't know if it helps you but as a Cloud member you have access to CS6, CC and CC 2014 versions.
So when you're at home you can still use Dreamweaver CS6 if you want to.
Install a previous version of any Creative Cloud application

  • Is Contribue CS3 compatible with Dreamweaver 8?

    Hi everyone
I own Dreamweaver 8. I have a client would like to edit their
    web site using Contribute CS3.
Will CS3 support the DW8 editable attribute tags?
    E.g.
    <div attribute="@@(label)@@">This is the editable
    content</div>
    Thank you very much
    David

PS CS3 is not supported on Win 8. So, its best to upgrade to PS CS6 and use it flawlessly with Win 8.

  • Is Contribute 6.5 compatible with Mac OS 10 Yosemite?

I have CS 5 and am having compatibility problems with my Mac (OS 10 Yosemite). Is CS 6.5 compatible? Should I wait for an upgrade to 6.5?

If they are, they're not saying. That is typical. Normally they don't say anything about upgrades until they announce the release.

  • Fireworks CS4 compatible with Dreamweaver CS3

Is there any issues with developing pop ups in Fireworks CS4
and importing into Dreamweaver CS3? Thanks

DW will be a very tough learning curve for you in this case.
    Are you sure

Where? Surely you are misinterpreting that - it has Spry
    menus built in,
but a much better choice even than those exists.

  • Contribute 3 key compatible with CS3?

I created a connection key for my client in Contribute3, but
    since Contribute CS3 doesn't have a trial available, I can't test
to see if the connection key will work in CS3. Anyone know if it
    should work ok?
    Thanks.
    Paul

Actually there is a trial now available for Adobe Contribute
CS3 for both Windows and Mac.
Also, I have just installed Contribute CS3 this morning on
all the machines in my office and we have had no trouble connecting
to the CPS setup. Our two sites were both initially setup using
    Contribute 3.11.

  • Is the FrontPage Site Wizard for DW MX2004 compatible with DW CS4?

    Hi,
Can anyone please confirm whether the 'FrontPage Site Wizard for Dreamweaver MX2004'  and 'Publish Web Command for Dreamweaver MX2004' extensions are compatible with Dreamweaver CS4?
I have downloaded and installed both of these extensions successfully, however, when using the extensions within Dreamweaver CS4, I am unable to see 'FrontPage Server' as an option to select.
I'd be grateful if someone can clarify whether there may be a problem with the version of the extensios used (v2.1.0 and v1.1.0), or whether it is simply a permissions issue that prevents me from being able to select FrontPage Server as an option to import from or publish to?
The Technote 15685 (Publish Web command: transferring with FrontPage Server extensions) describes the following:-
Once the extrension is installed, Dreamweaver lists an additional option in the Access menu of the Remote Info category when editing a site.
Within either the Document or Site window, choose Site>Define Sites.
From the list of available sites, choose the site with which you wish to connect to the FrontPage server and choose Edit.
Within the Site Definition dialog box, choose the Remote Info category.
From the Access drop down menu, you will now see FrontPage Server.  Choose this option and enter the connection information for your site.
From the above instructions, I cannot see the FrontPage Server option.
Any help or advice but be very much appreciated.
    Thank you,
    Gary

    Hi
Sorry the extension is not compatible with CS4 (was not even compatible with DW8, as far as I am aware). For connecting to the server ask your server administrator to activate WebDAV, and use that option if possible.

  • Is Dreamweaver compatible with Windows Vista?

No matter what I do I can't insert text into Dreamweaver. I'm
beginning to think Dreamweaver is not compatible with Windows
Vista. I can type text into it but I can't write a document in
another program then insert it into a DW page. It just won't do
anything at all. I've watched about 4 videos on this and read many
things on Dreamweaver help and can't find it. I think it might be
easier to learn html than Dreamweaver. I can't find any good
Dreamweaver tutorials, even in Lynda.com. They all teach as if you
already know most of the program.

Where are you copying the text FROM? Which app?

  • Java, Adobe Acrobat, HP Web Printing, Adobe Contribute, all of which people use world round no longer compatible with Firefox? Maybe it's time to go back to IE.

Firefox used to be the best, now its working against every piece of software i use in the publishing industry. Java is important, so is Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe contribute.
Maybe it is time to kick Firefox to the curb. Firefox is not getting better, it's getting worse. It freezes, it crashes, it's no longer compatible with major programs in the publishing industry.
AND, you guys never answer any of your users. I'm tired of Firefox freezing up. read your freaking forums. Your not making the internet better, I used to have such faith you.

    Thanks Mike!
I'm just so frustrated, its bad enough my other laptop wasn't even 2 yrs old
yet and I've spent $800 to have it fixed twice already, this 3rd time I was
DONE... so I moved onto Sony, but this Vista just is making my life a living
hell, I just spent a fortune on the laptop, and now I have to buy Adobe 9
when my adobe 7 isn't even 2 yrs old... ugh... its just very frustrating and
nerve racking and is costing more than I make in a week in this business
(real estate processing)... I should sell Microsoft for a living, I'd be a
    millionaire!
My husband's Mac has been through hell and back physically, is 5 yrs old and
we've never had to take it in for any upgrades or issues, its SO easy to
use... why can't Microsoft be the same?!?!
Thanks for your input and for being understanding of my frustration, I bet
    you see those often! LOL
