Is CQ WCM part of the ADEP install?

I have downloaded the 150MB ADEP package from the Adobe site

But where is all of the WCM goodness, demonstrated in the videos ?

Logging into http://localhost:4502, all I could find as the ADEP console with links to CRXDE lite, Packages, Package Share, Content Explorer, etc.
There was nothing even resembling an end-user content authoring interface, or any of the froint-end publishing capabilities shown in the videos above. How do I get this functionality?

So, can I take it from this that CQ WCM is NOT part of the ADEP software listed at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/enterprise-platform/trial-downloads.html ? I think Adobe has made it confusing with this "experience" nomenclature.
Next question: how does one get a Daycare account? Do I have to be an existing customer? (The Daycare site really should explain this too).

There is only one file to download - which one depends on your system (32-bit or 64-bit).
These are the trial versions but will convert to the full version when you supply your serial number.

If I no longer have the old application Backup installed on my Mac (for performing scheduled backups of data on the computer), do I need the folder called Backup, that is in my Hard Drive, to Library, to the Application Support folder? (There is no Backup folder in my Home Folder, to Library, to the Application Support folder.)
Backup was part of the .Mac subscription I used to have, and I have not used it since I gave up being a .Mac subscriber many years ago. In fact I recall Apple saying at one point that they no longer supported the Backup Application. I assume the Backup folder is just remnants from when I used to have that application, however I could be wrong, and don't want to trash the folder unwisely.
As I looked through the various items in the Backup folder, nothing appears to be modified since 2007, which further confirms that this folder is from long ago when I used to have that application. I did notice that the main Backup folder itself was the only thing that had a more current modification date on it. That date coincides with the date that I installed Snow Leopard on my Mac earlier this year. But I'm assuming that any operating system software installation will place a modification date on all the various folders of one's computer, with the date the new OS was installed.

Since it has always been very basic to backup your computer and all it's data, Apple provides no way for you to transfer music from your iPhone back to your computer. As you know, you can re-download all iTunes purchases, but music that you ripped yourself you'll have to just re-rip again.
You can try and find 3rd party applications that might help you. I'm sure you'll pay, however.
Let this be a very important lesson learned.

I fixed my problem like this:
Here's the deal -
1. can you install itunes via the APPLE SOFTWARE updater?
I couldn't so I downloaded ITUNES and tried to install it that way.   Hence I got the same error hang as you. Nothing worked, (Multiple attempts at uninstall reinstall, stopping of Services, Reg cleaners etc..)
2. If answer is NO to #1 you must fixe the APPLE SOFTWARE UPDATE Program.
OK so I couldn't find a Download for this.   But: if you have WINRAR, open the ITUNES.EXE and extract the APPLESOFTWAREUPDATE.MSI file. Execute the APPLESOFTWAREUPDATE.MSI separately.   And you will not be able to install it and have a similar issue as per your Itunes install.   This of course leads you to believe that the Itunes.exe install is also installing all of these components including the applesoftwareupdate silently.   It must BOMB at that portion of the install and you are done.
3. Your goal now is to get the applesoftwareupdate installed.   How do you do this. Well - here is what I did.
a. downloaded and RUN a PC Installer FIX it tool from Microsoft. This is a replacement for the older MSI fixer they used to use.

b. It will list programs to attempt to fix.
choose AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi
c. Once it is done, then reinstall apple program updater using
AppleSoftwareUpdate.msi
Finally it should install since the Microsoft tool appraently fixed corrupted installation files in your registry for this application.
(Please note: that I also disabled any apple related services such as BONJOUR or IPOD DEvice RUN: services.msc to get there - although this man not be necesarry.)
Hence Launch this APPLE UPDATE SOFTWARE (Click the ICON in your Start menu) it should list ITUNES
select ITUNES from here and it will update.
KEY HERE is to ONLY UPDATE APPLE Stuff via the APPLE SOFTWARE UPDATE program. If that program is not working fix it. Then Bingo.
I am sorry to see folks having this problem for weeks.
APPLE,   Spread the word. PC's can get corruption in the registry on your product should the update be stopped or computer shut off during an update. etc...   Please improve your software updater program to check for invalid registry upon launching the app. This will prevent people thinking it is an APPLE issue. It appears to be a problem on your PC's registry settings for the APPLE Software update.

Why is the last part of the Word Press install not working?

I am installing Word Press to work in Dreamweaver. I have installed MAMP and everything is working fine, I assume. The location of the files are /applications/MAMP/htdocs/wp-content/themes/twentyten.
I have installed PHP/MySql on my machine and have set up the wordpress database as instructed. The last part of the process has me bogged down. In following step one of the process, I get a blank screen. Here's the url: http://localhost/wp-admin/install.php and the instructions to complete the process.
With the WordPress files copied to the correct location in the htdocs folder, the web server installed, and a database created, open a browser and browse to http://localhost/wp-admin/install.php.
A screen telling you to create a configuration file will appear. Click the Create a Configuration File button.
Click the Let’s Go button to go to a page that allows you to enter your database information.
Type your database name, wordpress.
Type your MySQL user name and password (usually the user name and password are both admin, unless you changed them in the database).
For the Database Host type localhost.
Click Submit

I'm stuck installing virtualhosts in DW and using Wordpress templates, but I may be a few steps further than you are, so I'll try to help. I'm also using Windows, so who knows?
I'm assuming you are not using a virtual host, just a local host; therefore, I went to the section that has instructions for the steps you are on in David Powers' "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 with PHP: Training from the Source" and right after he has you launch the browser and open "wordpress/wp-admin/install.php" in "your [site name here] site." He goes on to write:
The URL depends on how you set up your testing environment:
Virutal host: http://[site name here]/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
Localhost: http://localhost/[site name here]/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
NOTE: if you are using the MAMP default ports on a Mac, add :8888 after [site name here] for a virual host, or after a localhost.
So perhaps that's what you're missing, I really don't know.

This would solve many apps to run on this.

It's mainly the video card. The Models 2,1 through 4,1 have video cards with non-upgradeable 32bit drivers. The model 5,1 Late 2008 and newer have at least the NVIDIA GeForce 9400M with 64bit drivers. Mountain Lion and Mavericks require 64bit native drivers. Mountain Lion and Mavericks no longer support Intel's GMA 950 or GMA X3100 graphics processors.
While Lion used some 32 bit and a lot of 64 bit code, Mountain Lion and Mavericks are pure 64 bit, which excludes more systems than Lion did. It's not something you can add memory to, for example, as it involves the base architecture.

Could you please tell what are the challenges you are facing while trying to access Acrobat ?
Do you get any error message ?If yes ,please share the screen shot of the same.

Try repairing it from Control panel, or try launching it with a different user account and check if it works or not.

You haven't formatted the SSD, so you can't install Mac OS X.
First, close the OS X installer and open Disk Utility. Then, choose the SSD at the top of the sidebar, go to Erase tab, choose "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" as "Format", and press Erase. Finally, close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X. See > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.
