Is Creating Environment Necessary

In the situations of connecting an Akai MPC or Korg Triton in Logic LE9? If so, this
is really slowing me down in my creative process. I am use to plug and play in Steinberg
Cubase. I have everything connected correctly and all I can do is use my MPC as a controller, no
midi clock syncing is happening. I searched this topic over the Internet and "environment" keeps
coming up, am I better off with Pro Tools where I don't have to go through this?

That depends on which model of MPC do you use man. If its lower than 2500 (with standard OS, not JJ) no MIDI clock sync is possible for MPC in Master mode (that's because Logic doesn't accept MIDI clock signals; it only goes by SMPTE and MTC). You can sync any MPC to Logic as slave though.
I assume you know your ways around MPC, don't you?
Environment is a powercore of Logic, but it's actually not necessary to mess with it to make things work. However, it is indeed a powerful tool to configure MIDI devices.

    Hello Expert,
Is SAP net weaver environment necessary to configure/customize IC Web client and Internet sales?
    Please guide me.

    Single Sign On is optional.
What would happen is that the user that's using the Web Application Designer will have to have access to Portals, and the portal Sign On screen will appear once that user executes a Web Template.
It also depends on the Portal Strategy and the Security Strategy of your client. For example, the portal may only grant access to those used IDs in the Active Directory, so if your BEx WAD user is not defined in Active Directory that user will not have access to portals, and will not be able to execute the Web Template.
    Cheers.

Just another question regarding impdp.exe process.
Assume a table is dropped after the previous export (expdp.exe) operation (for full database)

Is this table automatically created again?
What about users (schemas) ? Are they auomatically created if they are in the dumpfile, but

  • ORA-32101 When creating environment

    Hello,
    - With the InstantClient 10.2.0.1, I've got the ORA-32101 error at this line :
    Environment *env = Environment::createEnvironment();
And this with all configurations (Release/Debug/MDd flag/MD flag/etc..)
    - With the InstantClient 10.1.0.4 (last version), I've got a critical exception with no message..
My IDE is Visual Studio 2003, and it used to work with Windows 2000 but till i switched to Windows XP I've got theses errors..
Someone have an idea about this ?

Ok I resolved the problem, that was because I had an Oracle client installed, and there must been a conflit between the OracleClient and InstantClient

  • Why environment created failed ?

I work bdb at vxworks V5.5.1. I use bdb of V4.75 about C.
I create env by the following flag:
         open_flag = DB_CREATE | DB_RECOVER | DB_INIT_LOCK
         | DB_INIT_LOG | DB_INIT_TXN | DB_INIT_MPOOL | DB_THREAD;
But result is failed, error code = 0xc80003.
So I delete DB_RECOVER from open_flag. The result is OK.
Env was created ok! So I don't know what happened.
         I trace the source code. I find if I "#undef HAVE_REPLICATION"
in db_config.h. Then all seems to be ok. But When I reboot os,
error just said: "/flash/soe/log.0000000017: log file unreadable"
         But I do set:
         p_env->log_set_config(p_env, DB_LOG_AUTO_REMOVE, 1);
Before I reboot os, I find log file is just "log.0000000015" and
"log.0000000016" left. So "log.0000000017" has not created, why error
         just said "log.0000000017 unreadable"???
I don't know what wrong?     Can anyone give some advice?
         Thanks

    Thanks Debsubhra Roy:
    1. you mention: "You may have some privilege issues on the system with the OS you are using."
Can you explain some more detail? I work at vxworks 5.5.1 and file system is yaffs.
    2. I'm not using replication or in-memory log. But I create environment by flags:
    DB_USE_ENVIRON | DB_RECOVER | DB_CREATE | DB_INIT_LOCK | DB_INIT_LOG | DB_INIT_TXN | DB_INIT_MPOOL | DB_THREAD | DB_PRIVATE;
Oh, yes, I set "#undef HAVE_REPLICATION" in "db_config.h". I compile all source, but it seems no pass, just saied "__log_rep_split function no found". So I find in "log_get.c" about 1326 line before __log_rep_split, I delete "#ifdef HAVE_REPLICATION", then compile ok. Maybe some wrong.
Is there any wrong about the flags? By the way, I work at multithread not multiprocess.
    In "db_config.h", I #undef HAVE_FTRUNCATE 1, I'm not using posix ftruncate.
    3. If I delete the code, the result is when a log switch happened, will there be some wrong happen?
    4. Sorry for my incaution. I test once again, not environment created failed, just db created failed on the environment. Just the following:
    ret = db_create(&p_db, p_env, 0);
the ret is not zero, is just "DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery". All information is the following:
    */flash/soe/work/log.0000000002: log file unreadable: errno = 0xc80003*
    PANIC: errno = 0xc80003
PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery
PANIC: fatal region error detected; run recovery
I know errno = 0xc80003 is FILE NOT FOUND in yaffs system.
So question should be why db created failed ? Sorry.
    5. I find some simular questions about bdb on vxworks via google.

  • Closing Environment so that a new EnvImpl is created.

    Hi,
We need to reopen the environment to a new set of log files in the file system. We use BDB inside a JVM running our app. We treat BDB local to one JVM process.
I searched this community and looks like the only way is to close and reopen.
We reference a single environment from many places, and this prevents the formation of a new EnvImpl which comes from a pool.
I am in a siutation where in I do not have control over when the env is referenced or given up to get a fixed reference count.
Is there a way to reopen an env such that a new EnvImpl is created? That is forceClose or something like that?
    Thanks,
    Aditya.

I am not sure I understand the question completely. I think you are saying that JE is running on a JVM and many threads create Environment objects for the same envHome directory. The situation is that some of the treads do not close the Environment.  The functionality you would like is to be able to make the existing Environment objects not functional and a call to create an Environment be able to access the DB.  I don't know of a way to provide this functionality using the Environment object. If possible the Environment should be opened once and be used by multiple treads.

  • This workflow cannot be imported because it was created in SharePoint Designer for a different Site

Hello everyone.  I am getting this error when attempting to move minor workflow changes from mirror SharePoint development / production environments and hoping someone can help me.
"This workflow cannot be imported because it was created in SharePoint Designer for a different site, or the original workflow has been moved or deleted.  To move a workflow between sites, use Save as Template (.wsp file) instead of a Visio workflow
    drawing."
So basically I have taken an image of our single SharePoint server, Domain Controller, and a client and restored them to an OFFLINE development environment for the testing of workflow changes prior to production.  I've put quite a bit of time into one
particularly and would like to export/import rather than re-created from scratch.
I've successfully created the form template and imported.  This created the necessary list items nicely and the form appears to work as expected.  However, when attempting to import the .VWI file exported from dev SharePoint, I am getting the above
error.  If I change the .VWI to .zip and remove the "workflow.xoml.wfconfig.xml" file, then re-zip and change the file extension back to .VWI I get a dialog that allows me to import, but I have to choose a new name and much of the related content
is lost.  I need to be able to overwrite/merge the existing workflow with the import.  Any suggestions?
One strange thing I ran into was during a test of an export/import from and to the exact same environment. If I simply export to .VWI, then import from .VWI with no changes, SAME everything I still get this error. Very weird. Hoping someone can shed some
light on the subject. Thank you.

  • LiveUpgrade - Booting from created disk without luactivate first?

Was thinking of using one of the spare disks on my system to backup before I perform an application upgrade.
i.e. creating partitions identical to source disk (prtvtoc disk0 | fmthard - -s disk1 etc) and then using lucreate to copy onto new disk. e.g. lucreate -n newdisk -m ...........
Was then going to perform the upgrade on the original disk, leaving the newly created one alone, and only switching to it in the event of failure.
If I did this, and decided I wanted to rollback and boot from my copy, would I need to just:-
    lucativate newdisk.
Or could I just boot from PROM to new disk? (i.e. boot disk1)
Does the lucreate of a system disk to another one create the necessary boot records or does luactivate need to be run to do this?

I think you are saying that you want to create a second boot disk for application upgrades.
Keep in my that Live Upgrade only upgrades system related file systems.
I think our recommendations would be to:
    1. Create a new BE for your application upgrades and roll back to the original BE if
something goes wrong rather than create a second boot disk.
    2. Use your second disk to mirror your root pool (if you haven't done this already),
if you are using ZFS and hopefully something similar if you are using UFS.
You can create a second root pool for a ZFS BE by following the steps below. I don't know
how similar steps are done for a UFS BE. And yes, you have to luactivate the new boot disk
first, but the lucreate operation seems to apply the boot blocks.
    Thanks,
    Cindy
    1. Create a second root pool with an SMI (VTOC) labeled disk slice.
    # zpool create rpool2 c1t1d0s2
    2. # lustatus
Boot Environment Is Active Active Can Copy
Name Complete Now On Reboot Delete Status
s10BE yes yes yes no -
    # lucreate -n s10BE2 -p rpool2
    3. Set the bootfs property on the second root pool.
    # zpool set bootfs=rpool2/ROOT/s10BE2 rpool2
    4. Activate and boot the new BE.
    # luactivate s10BE2
    # init 6
    5. Confirm that you are booted from the second disk:
sparc# prtconf -vp | grep bootpath
    bootpath: '/pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@2/fp@0,0/disk@w2100002037ff9c9b,0:a'
    x86# prtconf -v|sed -n '/bootpath/,/value/p'

  • EJB 3.0 Environment Variables

I am trying to create environment variables within my project, but it doesn't seem to recognize the env-entry within the sun-ejb.jar.xml file. I am using EJB 3.0, which could be the problem... is there a replacement for env-entries? If yes... what is it and how do I use it please? 10x.
I am using Netbeans 5.5 with Java Application Server and EJB 3.0

env-entry is not defined within sun-ejb-jar.xml. It's part of the standard Java EE component
environment and is fully describable without any vendor-specific metadata.
Just add it to ejb-jar.xml within the associated EJB component. You then look it up via
new InitialContext("java:comp/env/<env-entry-name>"), where the portion of the lookup String
relative to "java:comp/env/" must match the value in the env-entry-name of the env-entry.

  • Trusted Connection Problem while creating a project in MDM WD Confg.Manager

    Hi Experts,
We have the Netweaver instance (CE7.2) and MDM instance (MDM7.1SP07) installed in the same machine.
In our current scenario we are trying to create a projects in the MDM WD Configuration Manager for displaying the MDM records.
    Things Done:-
    1) Created allow.ip file and added the IP address of the server and also added the IP address of the Local Host (127.0.0.1).
    2) Same user exists in the Netweaver and as well as in the MDM repository with same case.
    3) Created a necessary MDM Destination.
    4) After adding the entry in the allow.ip file, i have restarted the MDM server too.
Now when i create a project in the Config. Manager, after selecting the MDM destination i get a Trusted Connection error.
Cannot retrieve language list from repository [null] on server [null]. UserConnectionException: Can not connect with UserSessionContext to repository 'Inbox' on the server 'ctsinsapnw7'.,  Can not connect with UserSessionContext to repository 'Inbox' on the server 10.239.31.178'.,  Can not resolve JCA connection. Cause exception: Connection Failed: Cannot create JCA connection. Is there anything to be done. Any help on resolving this will be very much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Prasanna Kumar R Y

Please make sure of below things...
    1. Location of allow.ip file.
Default location is exe folder where your MDM server executable are available.
    2. If not using default location,
Then check the entry of 'TrustedFiles Dir" property in mds.ini file.
    3. Is server stops completely?
Its very important to restart the server.
Sometime console may show that the server is stopped but server might be running.
If possible please check whether server stopped, using Console on different machines.
    4. Check the log of MDM server while starting and stopping the MDM server.
Please pest the log messages in this thread to help you better.

  • User Exit to call program to create IDocs.

    Hi All,
For any creation/changes of material master using MM01/MM02 (after save ) one of the user exit will trigger.
From the user exit, I have to call the custom program to create MATMAS IDOCs.
if any failures in changes/creation of material master. It has to roll back eveything created by program.
Please let me know how to achieve this with out calling an event.
    Thanks - Vinay

There are a number of standard methods to automatically create the IDOC.  You can activate the change pointers and depending on need, use BD64 to create a distribution model, and create the necessary WE20 setups to create the outbound IDOC.
If you have to process the IDOC using custom logic, you can define that as well - although it's not clear why you need a custom generating program.  You can insert code into one of the IDOC user-exits to manipulate the content if needed.  Also, don't overlook the pre-delivered stuff from SAP that provides filtering out of segments and the like.
There are a few good SAP PRess books about doing ALE distribution -- if this is an unfamiliar area, it's worth the cost to buy one -- if you spend any time around IDOCS, you'll appreciate it.

  • Creating floppy disk images (from Disk Utility) recognized by Parallels

    Hi there,
After making the Parallels plunge last week, and installing a couple of my old OS's in it, I unearthed my old MS-DOS 6.22 disks. (remember that, boys and girls?)
With the help of my brother, I managed to export the contents onto a USB flash drive in the hopes of creating the necessary .fdd files that Parallels uses to create a virtual DOS machine.
(FYI - I already have DOSBox installed... but now with Parallels, I was looking to install the real deal)
Normally, renaming a .dmg file (created through Disk Utility) to a .fdd should force Mac OS to associate the image with Parallels, and thus allowing it to be recognized as a valid floppy image.
Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case for me. Parallels cannot recognize the disk images created as floppy drive images. Even after formatting the volume as both MS-DOS and MS-DOS (FAT 16), nothing seems to work.
I've already checked the Parallels forums, but couldn't drudge up anything. I was hoping one of the Level 3+'s here had some experience with this.
Am I missing something in the Disk Utility .dmg creation process of these files, or would I need a separate application to create a valid .img/.ima file to get this to work?
    Thanks!
    Steve

I am also having this issue. If I figure it out I'll post my solution. If anybody has had success it would be very helpful to know how they made proper images.

  • How to create Windows 8 installation media from Hidden Recovery partition

My laptop (HP Envy 15- j048tx) came pre-installed with a Windows 8 (OEM) on UEFI GPT partition. Somehow I messed up with the pre-installed Windows 8 and made a clean update to Windows 8.1 (Pro) after enabling Legacy BIOS as the boot method in the CMOS setup. Then i realise that the 8.1(pro) doesn't have Windows product key and hence could not be activated. Before I change the boot method from UEFI to BIOS, trying being cautious, i managed to make a copy of the Recovery partition (22.6 GB) to a USB drive. FYI, While I was still using the pre-installed OEM OS, I also tried to create a recovery DVD (which requires 6 DVD) but I gave it up after burning only the first Disc (Disc-1 of 6.)
Now i'm trying to go back to the default Windows 8 provided by the OEM, as I believe, it has with it a product key embedded somewhere in the BIOS. However, I cannot load the Windows from the copy of the recovery partition I've made earlier. Here's what i've worked around unsuccesfully: Burned an ISO of the Disc-1 (recovery DVD) with 'Image Burn', Edited the ISO file with 'WinISO' and added the entire 22.6 GB file from the recovery partition and then generated a USB Installation drive in GPT partition style with 'Rufus'. I disabled the Legacy BIOS mode, enabled Secured boot and tried to re-install Windows 8 but a message pop-up showing "Selected boot image did not authenticate. Press <enter> to continue."
I've tried to look-up the HP site to see if I can get help or to order HP recovery Disc (reluctantly though), but, guess, the site's support section was probably having some problem!
Inspite of all my failed attempt, i'm still hopeful that something can be done to go back to the original OEM Windows from the back-up copy of the recovery partition I have with me. I shall be very grateful if somebody can help me get this mess sorted, while, keeping the ordering of HP Recovery Disc as a last resort.

    Welcome to the HP Forums!
It is a terrific place to find answers and tips!
For you to have the best experience in the HP forum I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide Learn How to Post and More
I understand that you copied the recovery partition to a USB drive before you accidentally did a clean install of Windows 8.1 pro  but  you did not have an activation key for that version.
When you copied the recovery partition to the USB drive did you use Windows 8 to format the USB for Windows 8 before you copied the recovery manager.  If not it will not work properly.
If you did format the USB correctly you can try this.
Format the drive creating the necessary partitions first. Now try coping the recovery manager to the one partition . Once you have it copied  then try to access the recovery manager to do a full recovery back to factory.
