Yes/No/perhaps. All depends on the specifics of the system and its configuration. most stuff should work, but of course there always could be compatibility issues.

don't fall for the error message that comes up automatically and automattically downloads. it does nothing. Go to the link, download it, open the DMG file and go through the process. All my CS5.5 apps opened immediately after installing the java update.

Try using VLC or installing both QuickTime 7 and Perian. Nothing will work with all AVIs; some of them require codecs not available for Mac OS X.

Big issues with the new MAC OSx RDP client; crashes with Excel formattings or open Libre Office

We found out, that the new version of the MAC OSx RDP client (Version 8.0.24255) has some big problems: example: formatting an Excel column: text
blue: the RDP crashes (re-producible); opening libre office calc (with 3 RDP-sessions open): RDP crashes and is not able to be opened, until libre office is closed in another windows-rdp-session.

The 24" LED's Mini DisplayPort plug will go into a Thunderbolt port on the Mac Pro. The 23" DVI display will need a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.

Is Firefox 5 compatible with the new upgrade to OS 10.6.8? I'm having problems

Since I upgraded to Firefox 5.0, and upgraded to 10.6.8 (Mac) my computer is not responding as it previously did. I keep getting "box messages" when I scroll and when I move to the tool bar in Firefox, it switches without my direction.
I contacted Apple, no problems with the upgrade. Is Firefox compatible with the new upgrade??? Even my printer didn't respond.

Then another message pops ups and asked for rebuilding the Thumbnails. So I clicked rebuild. Next it asked me to do one of three things(I can't remember all of them) so I chose the last one which is to download a photo to iPhoto. Now I only have that photo I downloaded in iPhoto file but not the rest of my pictures. The iPhoto library which is stored in my EHD shows it has 349GB but it only show one thumbnail of the last picture I downloaded after the rebuild process. What can I do to recover the rest of the file?

My experience with upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion is that the OfficeJet Pro 8500 Wireless will print just fine, although it seems to take a little longer to find the printer on the network. My scan function however locks up and will not work. This really is an annoyance, though, since I have VueScan, which works fine with Lion.
Hopefully, Apple and HP will not orphan the OS native scanning feature for HP multifunction printers.

It contains some issues that people have encountered with Lion and Office 2008. It appears it can work, but you may have to go through some of the steps a few of the posters there have listed.
That website also contains a pretty large list of applications and if they will work with Lion.
