Is Cricket iPhone 5 international unlocked?

I just got an iPhone 5 from Cricket. But I'm not gonna use it in the US but send it my home country. The seller guy said me that it is international unlocked so it works with any carrier outside the USA. But to be honest I'm not convinced. How can I learn if it is international unlocked?

Don't know where you got that idea, all US Cricket iPhones are carrier locked, with NO way to get them officially unlocked, as Cricket DOES NOT offer official unlocking for the iPhone.

IPhone 6 Plus T-Mobile version is not internationally unlocked!

I bought an iPhone 6 Plus from the Apple Store in Dec. 2014.
I've done the research that people are saying T-mobile version from Apple Store is unlocked.
However, when I bring it to Taiwan and plug in a local SIM card it asks for an unlock PIN.
Then, I called Apple. The Apple technician told me it's found "domestically" unlocked.
So I can use it with ATT, Spring, etc in the U.S.. And if I want it to be "internationally" unlocked,
I have to contact T-mobile because the lock can only be taken by the carrier.
Therefore, I contacted with T-mobile. They said they require an active T-mobile number that associates with that iPhone to unlock it!
I said I'm outside of the U.S. and I want to use the phone now. And you know what, they ask me to call Apple for it! !@$!@$
Now I'm stuck, any suggestion?

Only T-Mobile can unlock it, so you'll likely need to do what they ask to unlock it.
People don't know carriers/cellular providers are arse****, but they are.

There is no such thing as "an international unlocked iPhone". The only 5s model sold in the US is the A1533. There is an unlocked version, which is the same as the t-mobile version.
Call the Apple store(s) in Boston. Nobody on this forum would know.

I have bought from the ebay cricket iPhone 5. It was told that cricket iPhone 5 is internationally unlocked. But here in Kazakhstan it can't find the local networks and doesn''t activates with local sim cards. iTunes just repot connection issues. How can I unlock my phone for use here?? Please HELP ME!!!

The servers are getting slammed. Bunch of people trying to download iOS7 at the same time.
There is a chance activation servers might be down/slow for now. Just keep trying throughout the day. Some other forum users are experieincing similar things.

I have a 3G plan but most of the time it switches automatically to EDGE. Thats when i have to either switch Airplane mode - On/Off and then it acts normal. Any permanant solutions to fix this problem?

Return the iPhone personally or via friend/relative/co-worker who is in
the US. The warranty is valid only in the country of original purchase - the USA
in this case. Apple will not accept international shipments for evaluation nor
will Apple ship out of the country after repair/replacement.

Just need an active local SIM card that is compatible with your iPhone. Your local provider
may need to configure some settings under Cellular, but it should pick up signal. Just in
case, make sure that Settings>Cellular>Roaming>Voice & Data are
active.

Yes. The SIM slot in the Verizon iPhone 5 is unlocked out of the box. This is required by the FCC in exchange for Verizon winning a spectrum auction last year. It will work with any compatible GSM carrier, including AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. It will not get LTE service on any US carrier other than Verizon.

I talked to a apple rep right before this and he said it will only work with T - Mobile because it says the sim is already installed,

Someone correct me if I'm wrong (hopefully with some factual information via a weblink), but there is currently NO Factory Unlocked iPhone 5S for sale in the United States. Factory Unlocked (aka. "Sim-Free") is only offered for the 4S and 5C.
All customers can purchase an iPhone 5S from Apple or respective carrier for the full retail price ($650+) and those devices will be internationally unlocked but locked to the carrier you pick.
In my case, I purchased an AT&T iPhone 5C at full retail price. I did not sign a new contract, pay an upgrade fee, etc. My phone, when plugged into iTunes tells me it's Unlocked. Again, I don't have a T-Mobile Nano-Sim to test if it's fully unlocked (domestic & international) but it's safe to assume I will only be able to use my 5C in the USA with AT&T.
Does this mean that the phone can never be fully unlocked? Probably not - I imagine all carriers and 3rd parties will be able to unlock the device (per-carrier terms, etc.).
Hope this clears up any confusion.
*Contract-Free T-Mobile is not fully unlocked either. T-Mobile no longer has contracts so Apple cannot present the T-Mobile version in the same space as the other carriers on their website. T-Mobile, like the other carriers, likely have the ability/option to fully unlock your device upon request (per-their carrier terms).

If you care about the camera, you will not want the iPad. The iPad's cameras are intended for video only, particularly video conferencing, and so are quite low in resolution.
In regards to getting an unlocked iPhone 4S in the US, understand that the warranty and service on the iPhone is not international. So if you were to purchase the iPhone in the US and anything were to go wrong with the hardware, you'd have to ship the iPhone to someone in the US to take or send it to Apple for service. I'd therefore strongly suggest waiting to purchase your iPhone in the country in which you live.

All iphone purchased in U.S are carrier locked to AT&T regardless if it's under a contract or a no-contract. there is no official way to unlock them as Apple nor AT&T unlocks them.
If you really need a factory unlocked iphone, then you probably need to check out the Canadian Apple online store which you need an active billing and shipping address in Canada. If your billing and shipping is not in Canada, they won't ship it out. Same goes for UK. you can purchase one on the online store in UK. and the same rule applies.
