Is Datavideo SE-500 Digital A   V Switcher compatible with mac video outputs

I need to find a video mixer for braodcasting a prerecorded show. I am wondering if this system oututs s-video feed.

Macs do not have s-video outputs.  I'm not sure they ever did (maybe some really old ones did).
All recent Macs have either DVI, miniDisplayPort or Thunderbolt outputs for video.  Apple does not make analog video adapters for any of the more recent Macs that have these video outputs.
Oddly enough, I happened on a thread about an inexpensive converter called the PC-to-EZ that may work (about $50 at Amazon).  Apparently it works quite well.  You will need the Apple miniDisplayPort-VGA adapter also.
Here is a link to the thread I mentioned.  Scroll to page 2, see the long response from user Lougle for details.
I'm curious, if you are purchasing a video mixer, why are you not going with a model that supports digital video inputs?

Do you have an Adobe Digital Editions which is compatible with Mac Os 10.6.8? The current version which I downloaded requires 10.8 and would not work on my computer.

Try the ADE 2.0.1 from http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/downloads.html

  • Are 300 Series switches compatible with pre-standard PoE detection in old Cisco phones?

Are 300 Series switches compatible with pre-standard PoE detection in old Cisco phones? They don't seem to be (a 7902G won't power on when connected to an SF302-08MP with firmware version 1.1). Is any special configuration needed on the switch to enable this detection?

Please note that the 200 and 300 Series switches now support Cisco Legacy POE as of September 2011, allowing it to deliver power to 7960, 7940, and other pre-standard phones and APs. Details provided at the following link:

  • When digital edition will be compatible with Windows 8

Digital edition is not currently compatible with Windows 8, What is the likely date when it will be available for windows 8 as I can't use it on Windows8. Is there any other alternate available for this?
    Thanks and regards

Both ADE1.7.2 (see *** below) and ADE2.0 run on Windows 8.
ADE2.0 is full of bugs on Windows 8; but only the same bugs it has everywhere else as well.
Neither can take advantage of touch, nor run in Metro mode (whatever it's proper name is).
As far as I am aware, there is no Adobe DRM compatible app that runs on Windows RT.
Just been alerted by another post ...
DL Reader app for Windows RT (thanks trainmore): http://apps.microsoft.com/windows/en-gb/app/dl-reader/0be254fa-1323-4bda-92fa-698fe502456c
    Two alternatives ...
For DRM free ebooks, use the free and vastly superior Calibre.  http://calibre-ebook.com/
For DRM ebooks, you can use Sony Reader; free download from Sony intended to run with Sony eReaders but works quite happily without.  I prefer ADE1.7.2 to Sony Reader. https://ebookstore.sony.com/download/
*** Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.

  • Dot1x (Switch) Question with MAC bypass & Web Auth

Is it possible to configure dot1x with MAC Auth bypass along with web authentication?
The goal is to first try dot1x
If machine doesn't support dot1x, then use MAC address. If MAC isn't in list, redirect through a web browser.
From what I read, it sounds like MAC bypass gives me half of what I need and using web auth as a fall back to dot1x gives me the other half. Can these be using in conjunction to accomplish what is needed here?
There is also Web Auth with Automatic MAC Check, but there is mention of this only working in "web auth standalone mode." Can anyone comment on this?

  • Is a 10/100 switch compatible with a 1000 router?

I had a 10/100 switch that was working fine until I upgraded routers.  Could that upgrade explain why my switch stopped working?

Ignore, Castor. He is wrong. Many people have mixed speed networks and they work very well. In any larger corporate setup switches are upgraded gradually and of course a gigabit ethernet switch will work perfectly fine with a fast ethernet switch. Nothing will get "out of sync".
The whole network will also not be "as fast as the slowest link". That would mean that using a single fast ethernet switch in a network with otherwise only gigabit switches would slow down everything to 100 Mbit/s. That's not true.
Any specific connection between two devices in your network will of course be as fast as the slowest link. But it only depends on where those devices are connected. If two devices are connected to the same gigabit switch it's a connection up to 1 Gbit/s. If two devices are connected to two different gigabit switches and the full path between those two gigabit switches is also all gigabit (e.g. PC1 - Gigabit switch 1 - Gigabit switch 2 - Gigabit switch 3 - PC2) then the whole connection is also gigabit.
Of course, if the path between two devices goes through a fast ethernet switch then the whole connection will only be up to 100 Mbit/s. For example, PC1 - Gigabit switch 1 - Fast Ethernet switch - Gigabit switch 2 - PC2 will be up to 100 Mbit/s as everything has to travel through the fast ethernet switch.
But, to sum up: a 10/100 Mbit/s switch will work nicely with a 10/100/1000 Mbit/s switch. Of course, everything connected to the Gigabit switch talking to a device on the 100 Mbit/s switch will only get up to 100 Mbit/s throughput.

  • The PDFs digitally signed are not compatible with the standard PDF/A

    Dettagli del documento:
    Valori trigger:
    Stringa più lunga usata: 219308.0
    { 28 0 obj/Contents }

  • No digital video output from XVR-300 in Ultra-45

I am switching from solaris 10/x86 to sparc. I have a new Ultra-45 with XVR-300 graphics adapter. It's running Solaris 10u4. The system was ordered as a standard configuration from the catalog.
The XVR-300 graphics adapter currently produces no digital output. My Sun A1240P0 24" monitor reports no signal on the DVI input. That is, there is no digital output at power on (boot ROM), during Solaris boot (terminal), nor after Solaris finishes booting (X).
The graphics adaptor uses a connector with two video outputs, and comes with a splitter cable with two DVI output connectors. I get no video output on either. The DVI cable I am using is the one that works when connected to the graphics adaptor on the old system.
I added a VGA adapter plug to connector 1 of the splitter cable, and was able to get an analog signal to drive the display via the VGA input connector.
The manuals for the Ultra-45 and for the XVR-300 make no mention of analog vs digital output. They both just say to connect the adapter to the monitor.
Since I can get analog output from the SVR-300, the card is basically working. The DVI cable and the monitor's DVI input work with another system. The only variables are the digital output from the XVR-300 and the splitter cable. (The splitter cable's analog signals work.)
How can I activate digital output and make it the default?

  • Olympus Evolt E-500 Digital SLR is compatible with iPhoto?

Does anyone know if the Olympus Evolt E-500 Digital SLR is compatible with iPhoto ( I do not want to have to use Olympus software)? I know it is not listed on the official Apple list but am curious if anyone could speak from experience. I am looking at purchasing a digital SLR and am considering the Evolt E-500 but would like to understand its compatibility with iPhoto.
    iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

RAW ORF files will not work as of yet. JPEG and TIFF are okay. I have CS2 and had to download a RAW beta from Adobe to process my RAW files. I knw that my friend had problems with CR2 files (Canon 350D) when Tiger was at 10.4.2. He would see the thumbnails in finder column view but Preview and iPhoto before the last update would not work. When 10.4.3 came all is well; so I ma hoping 10.4.4 will let us use ORF RAW files fromour E500. If you get a chance check out the forums at www.dpreview.com and the Olympus DSLR forum and the MAC tools forum. When I got my E500 I started shooting RAW right away. You will find more control in processing the the RAW to jpeg. Hope this helps.

  • Need that a Cisco Catalyst Express 500 behaves as cheap switch

Need that a Cisco Catalyst Express 500 behaves as  cheap switch.
I happen to have a surplus of CE500 and i need to use one as a layer 2 cheap switch (unaware of lan and with port protection off).
    How can i achive this?

That's the thing, i'm sitting on several CE500, i'm not allowed to buy a cheap one right now, i have to use what i have, i know is too much but it should work and i read that it does, there is only one problem, i need to plug a access point to the CE500 that connect this section of my network to the rest.
I can't make the CE500 to work with this AP, a cheap switch i had there before worked properly.

  • Mechanical or digital source switch for 2 Mac Pros on one 30" display?

I have a 30" display, and use it at the maximum resolution of 2560 x 1600 on my Mac Pro with the NVidia 8800GT card. I have a second Mac Pro with a similar configuration.
I would like to find a switch to send the video to either of these machines.
The DVI switches I have found do not support the higher resolution of the 30" display.
Does anyone know of a device that would allow me to switch the source for the 30" display between two machines?
    Thanks....

You need a dual-link DVI switch, such as

  • LaCie DVR compatible with Digital Audio?

I'm looking for a FW DVD/CD burner that will be compatible with my G4 Digital Audio, 466 MHz. Requirements for the LaCie d2 DVD FW dual layer with LightScribe state 500 MHz. Will the drive work even though my speed is slightly slower? I would also like to use it with my PowerBook.
Is the Pioneer DVR 111D a better choice? I know the LaCie has the full version of Toast.

    Hi!
Just to add to what japamac has advised-
I have a working Pioneer burner installed in my B&W 400MHz G3 tower (768MB RAM, currently running OS X 10.3.9). I don't have LightScribe, which may (or may not) be why LaCie specifies a 500MHz minimum processor speed.
Frankly, I'm somewhat puzzled about the LaCie tech's remark concerning your system maybe not supporting any DVD writer. That's simply inaccurate. I'm sure that there are plenty of other members here using various brands of DVD burners in Macs that are running slower than 466 MHz. Please know, however, that many software applications (iLife included) have minimum processor speed requirements. Perhaps that is to what the tech was referring, or perhaps it's specific to LightScribe technology...
I use a NEC ND-3550A burner in my QS Mac without issue. However, I tend to agree with japamac about sticking with Pioneer as a choice you won't be disappointed making.
    Gary
ps to japamac: BTW, the Pioneer DVR-112D (18x) is also now available here in the US. Meritline currently has them for $33. I haven't heard much about it here in the US before now.
