Python 2.5 is now in testing. Upgrading Python is going to require a gigantic amount recompiling of programs. Wouldn't this be the best time to upgrade DBus to 1.0?

If your goal is to install and activate CS5 there is no need to install anything preceding it. You will only need to have the serial number from the preceding version that you upgrade from (CS3 I guess).

LabVIEW binary format that can be opened with Python

I need to save data in a binary format which can be opened with Python. I have tried the "Write Waveforms to File (1D).vi" and can open them back up in LabView, but the binary format is not published anywhere, so I cannot open them in Python. They appear to be saving as DataLog type binary files.
Is there another binary format which I can use that I can open in Python?
The reason I need this is that with 16-channel DAQ at 20kHz I can only save about 30 seconds of data. For longer periods, the task of writing to a text file consumes all available memory and cpu.

I found a solution. I found an open-source project called pyTDMS (google for it), and it can read tdms type files sometimes. It was some trial and error to get my data saved in a way that pyTDMS could open the file, but in the end it works great.
I have two digital output channels as well as 16 analog input channels, so here is how I had to save the data within LabView:
The 16 analog input channels were saved as a 1D array of waveforms. Then the digital output channels were made into another 1D array of waveforms. The trick was to use the write tdms subvi twice. Once for the analog input channels and again, on the same file, for the digital output channels. pyTDMS opens these files just fine, and I can use the metadata to sort out what channels the data goes with in Python.

Hello there,
I assume you mean Enterprise Portal. The general recommendation is that the portal must be based upon an equivalent or newer Netweaver version than the backend system. As the backend is going to be upgraded to a Netweaver 7 based released, EP 7 would be preferrable to staying with EP 6.
EP 6 would work, but the colleagues from EP support told me EP 7 would be recommended.

It definately was justified to upgrade from the MBP15'Core2DuoLate2006 to the new one. The processor is only 0,4 GB faster is true, however, the LED screen is much brighter and crisper and noticeably longer battery life in addittion to all 'corrections' to bugs and bits here and there. I also got this new machine for free as a replacement to a damaged under-warranty screen on the previous, so that was the justification I wouldn't have said no, would you?

Upgrades with Oracle Tools are really Amazing

I always hate upgrade with JDev!!!
Oracle's Webbeans are not fine enough to be used in professional applications so Developers have to custom Oracle WebBeans.
But when a new release of JDev come out, we have to use it because it fix some bugs but then we are up with some others bugs and wait for the next release.

Boost install with python

I'm having a few difficulties compiling and installing boost 1.34.1 with python. As I understand it I can either compile and link with gcc or with sun studio12, both of which are installed with SXDE. Going down either road seems to lead me dead ends.
Using gcc I get errors like:

So then I resorted to trying to use Sun Studio 12, which works fine until I get the problem mentioned at http://blogs.sun.com/sga/entry/boost_and_sun_studio_12#comments which suggests that I need to apply patch-01 for Sun Studio 12. Unfortunately, I'm not sure where to find the patch.
Anybody with ideas for solving both problems would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. I was able to solve it by manually specifying the linker to use. The sun linker and the gnu linker have very different parameters, and Boost does not autodetect which linker you are using. Based on your output, /usr/ccs/bin/ld is the sun linker, not the gnu linker. Many solaris platforms that compile with gcc use the sun linker. Sun's gcc distribution does this by default. Also, if you built gcc yourself, it will use whatever linker it was built with, which is probably the sun linker unless you explicitly configured it to use the gnu linker.
After you run the Boost configure script, edit user-config.jam.
You should see something like:
using gccYou need to change it to something like
using gcc : : : <linker-type>sun ; Note that you need 3 semicolons and you need to set linker type to sun, not gnu.
You should now be able to run make and have Boost link correctly.

How can I upgrade my iCloud account's storage but pay for the upgrade with another Apple ID?

I don't think that's possible. (If you're trying to get it on another credit card, one option would be to purchase an iTunes gift card with it and redeem it to create an iTunes store credit. Storage upgrades will first charge your iTunes store credit before charging your card.)

I can call out but all incoming calls are going directly to VM with no signal that I missed a call or have VM. I can send/receive text messages from other iPhone/iPad/iTouch users, I am assuming this is really "iMessage." Is it apple software?

I have spent hours on the phone with Apple and AT&T. I went thought reset, on/off, etc, etc with both companies to no avail. Each company pointed fingers at the other....as being the source of the problem.
Problems: Suddenly ALL incoming calls were going directly to VM with no signal I missed calls and/or had VM. I was also unable to receive all Text Messages...Oddly, I could send text messages to anyone (even non-apple users but I could not receive their responses)........then I when I got home I started receiving text messages from other apples users ONLY. I assume now - iMessage kicked in and I could text (send/receive) other iPhone/iPad/iTouch users ONLY. ....yes, I could still (send) text messages to my husband's blackberry (he received my messages fine) but my phone would NOT receive his text respones.
Finally, I googled the problem and found this community where other people have had the exact same problems! One person said he "turned off 3 G" which was the solution for him....so I did the same and VIOLA! My problem solved! Nevermind the fact that I pay for 3G and cannot use it....so here's my question, if 3G is the problem on my phone is this an APPLE issue or a NETWORK problem? Do I purchase a new phone and slip in my same SIM card and hope the same does not occur or do I get a whole new SIM card and phone? What is the long term resolution to this problem?
I am happy however to find that my problem is NOT an isolated incident and wish Apple or AT&T had told me this is not so uncommon because I thought (based on the baffled response from Apple) that this has never occurred before. Where is Steve Jobs when we need him?

I tried to follow the instructions in note 1269960, but the enhancement spot
CLASSIFICATION_TOOL was already active. I activated it again and reran the phase

Go to SM37 and put in the username as DDIC and see the job log.
Also check Sm50 and see whether you have BTC processes available.
Last but not the least check your filesystem space usage too.
