Is designing a report for my situation below possible?

Let's say I have a DO and A/R Invoice. Within DO, our staffs key the packaging information by right clicking on DO>PACKAGING. Subsequently, this DO is copied to A/R Invoice but the packaging information will not be copied to A/R Invoice. So, our current practice is to re-key the packaging information in A/R Invoice in order to generate a report(packing list) using A/R Invoice in Crystal Report.
However, I wish to eliminate the redundant work in which we have to key in the packaging information again in A/R Invoice. Is Crystal Report able to generate the header details for A/R Invoice with the list of packaging information within DO?
Also, consider for situation where we will have one A/R Invoice that is copied from multiple DO. Is the Crystal Report able to report on what I needed? Or I will have to keep the existing practice where we will have to re-key the packaging information in A/R Invoice?
Thanks
Ken

Have you tried with distinct?
Try this....
SELECT Distinct T0.DocNum, T0.U_Consignee, T0.U_Feeder_Vessel, T0.U_Vessel, T4.U_Container_No, T4.U_Container_Seal_No, T4.U_Batch_No, T4.U_Prod_Exp, T5.ItemCode, T5.Quantity FROM OINV T0 INNER JOIN INV1 T1 ON T0.DocEntry = T1.DocEntry LEFT JOIN DLN1 T2 ON T2.DocEntry=T1.BaseEntry INNER JOIN ODLN T3 ON T2.DocEntry = T3.DocEntry INNER JOIN DLN7 T4 ON T3.DocEntry = T4.DocEntry INNER JOIN DLN8 T5 ON T3.DocEntry = T5.DocEntry WHERE T0.DocDate >%0
Group By T0.DocNum, T0.U_Consignee, T0.U_Feeder_Vessel, T0.U_Vessel, T4.U_Container_No, T4.U_Container_Seal_No, T4.U_Batch_No, T4.U_Prod_Exp, T5.ItemCode, T5.Quantity

  • Design a report for mainframes data.

    Hello All,
I was given a requirement to design a report using BI Publisher to burst emails with attachments, where the input file is coming from Mainframes ( fixed positioning text file which also includes the context of the attachments).
The record layout of the input file from mainframes has the following fields:
    1) Id# positions 1-6
    2) Program Code positions 7-10
    3) Document sort sequence positions 11-12 packed #
    4) Line text positions 13 - 100
    Notes:
    1) This email should be send for the ID# which then needs to be joined to another table in DB to get the email address for that ID#.
    2) This is 100 (for "abc"), 200 (for "xyz") , 300 (for "pqr").
    3) The attachments need to be in a specific sequence and this assigns a "1" to all "abc", "2" to all "xyz" and "3" to all "pqr".
    4) This is the text that should be printed as an attachment.
We use BI Publisher Standard Edition 10.1.3.4.0.
Please give me some ideas on how to accomplish this task.
    Thanks in advance.
    Tracey

    Any ideas please??

I hope I am not posting my very first question in a wrong forum. I am looking for any document(s) related to Best Practises for Designing Queries/Reports using BeX Query Designer (or any other tool for that matter). • Designing the consolidated and line item report for specific material

    Hi
i have a R/3-report and it run only for 7-materials.That means we need to only those 7-materials in the selection screen of report.
Then we will get each material corresponding line item details(material no, profit center, variable cost, quanity, price, financial loss(this is calculated based on quantity) , Utility Consumption(calculated based on price, variablecost)  ) in one report.
Another report will give same for consolidated values of financial loss, utiliy consumption.
<b>so how can i design the consolidated and lineitem details report for each material.</b> pls let me know
    kumar

0VENDOR_ATTR - Vendor Master Data Attributes
0FI_AP_51 - Check Register Line Items
0FI_AP_4 - Accounts Payable Line Items
It should be noted, however, that this won't get you everything that you need, so you may have to create enhance one or more of these DataSources and create User Exit ABAP code to get the required data. Also, the 0FI_AP_51 DataSource isn't available if your source system isn't ECC6 EHP3 or higher. If your source system is less than that, you're going to have to create a generic DataSource for the data from the PAYR table.

  • Problem in designing the complex report for the client requirement

    Post Author: venkateshvarakala
    CA Forum: General
    Hi,
I have problem in designing the report (Crystal Report 9.0) with multiple groups wih a sub report in each group with a a group header and footer with a
    detail section in each report.
My requirement is as follows.1) Xxxx-sub reportwill have one header conetnt and footer content and detail ection in the middle grouped on one parameter2) Yyyyysub reportwill have one header conetnt and footer content and detail ection in the middle grouped on one parameter3) Zzzzzsub reportwill have one header conetnt and footer content and detail ection in the middle grouped on one parameter4)ABCdsub reportwill have one header one footer in group headers grouper on two prameters, My requirement demands customised detail section i.e.static conetent followed by detail section and a static conetnt(which should not repeat with child table records, should come only once with the a record and
    s) and detail section.
    example:
main table of the sub report 4 has records m1,m2,m3,m4... and child table has
    m1c1m,m1c2,m1c3,m1c4,m2c1,m2c2,m2c3,m2c4,m3c1,m3c2,m3c3,m3c4,m4c1,m4c2,m4c3,m4c4...
The staic content should come only with m1,m2,m3,m4 not with m1c1,m1c2....like this I need in two places in the same report which may have 500 recors printed in single report.
all the above section should be suppressable with a condition including the top 3 reports.
I am able to get the top 3 reports as per the requirement but my forth sub report is getting displayed after each sub-group 1,2,3 which is not happening with
1,2,3. Only 4th set is repeating with 1,2,3.
THis report is attached with 6 datasets.
I linked the main report main table with 1,2,3 (main Table) report filling table but when I am trying to link the 4th table main table  I am able to link but
I am not getting the result on the report. All the dataset has the one common column. sub report 1,2,3 are filled with common datasets with condition suppressing where as 4th report is filled with
    different results .
    1) My question is why the 4 the report is report is repeating with 1,2,3 why 1,2,3 are coming as expected.2) Is it possible to create
Please help me in designing the report as per the requiremnt and suggest me if I need any design modifictions.
Your suggestions and inputs are highy appreciated. Thanks for sparing time in going through my problem and I will be grateful if give solution and share if you have similar experiences.
    Thanks
    Venkatesh Varakala.

If you create a multiprovider with the two ODS you won’t have this problem.
    Hope it helps.

  • How to Design Report for Excel output?

    Hello Experts...
I have both versions Crystal Report XI and Crystal 2013 at this time as we are in the process of Upgrading...
How to design for excel output with no page size limit.
I have several fields going across (crossing width of paper size 11X17 landscape) and I do not need this report output to be printed at all only for excel output.
    Appreciate your time!
    Thank you,
    Padma

    Hi Padma,
You would need to increase the Page Size horizontally. Go to File > Page Setup > Check 'No Printer' > Check 'Dissociate Formatting Page Size and Printer page Size' > Increase the Horizontal value.

    Dear Rahul,
If you required  project stock and consignment stock with valuated stock report in same place you need to generate new info structure as given below link. Or you can go with customized report with abaper.

  • Sales report for current month and year a go month

i could you please guide me builting report for current monthwise for current month and year a ago month
    report parameter month_year='06-2010'
tables = sales and below are the table fields
    customer_id
    invoice_dt
    invoice_am
    thanks
    nhm

Okay, Still you did not mention how you will pass value in report while generating.
Anyway the query with UNION ALL will work. For Example.
I am assuming that the parameter for date/month you will pass in range like 01-JUN-2010 to 30-JUN-2010
    SELECT customer_id, SUM(curr_value) curr_value, SUM(past_value) past_value
    FROM
    SELECT customer_id, NVL(SUM(invoice_amount),0) curr_value, 0 past_value
    FROM sales
WHERE invoice_dt BETWEEN :P_FROM_DATE AND :P_TO_DATE  -- here P_FROM_DATE and P_TO_DATE will be the date range for current year as i showed above.
AND  -- Any Condition goes here...
    GROUP BY customer_id
    UNION ALL

  • Database connection not working in Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0

    Hello All,
We have several hunderd reports that were created in CR 8.5.  We are moving to a new Java  environemnt and we are also considering using BIRT.However to save development time and effort we are considering using the CR for Eclipse 2.0. For a proof of concept, we loaded several of our 8.5 reports into Crystal reports XI, saved them, and then loaded them into our CR for eclipse design environment.
These reports were built from the values returned from a store procedure.. When we try to execute the reports from within Eclipse, we get  Error finding JNDI name (xxxx). We have created the appropriate datasource (to Sybase 12.5.4), and the schema is viewable in the db explorer. However when we associate the connection to this datasource, the connection no longer appears in the field explorer and no data is returned upon previewing the report.
The original reports used ODBC to access the database. Is there anyway to easily convert these reports to using the Sybase JDBC datasource? Also in the DB explorer, the SPs are only showing the SP parameters, not the return values, so we are unable to easily drag the return fields onto the report to reset the links.
    Thanks in advance

    Michael,
We had a similar situation but from my reseach the output from the stored procs cannot be viewed in the report designer in Eclipse. So we had to design the reports using the Crystal Reports Devloper application (the stand-alone version, not the Eclipse editor). The reports were designed w/an ODBC datasource. In order to get that working we had to create a JNDI JDBC datasource connection w/the exact same name as the ODBC datasource and that works. For example, the ODBC datasource was named OP01DSDB01.WORLD so we just created a JNDI datasource w/that exact same name (no jdbc/OP01DSDB01.WORLD just OP01DSDB01.WORLD). I'm not sure if there is a workaround for any of this but this was the easiest way to get them working.
I know this isn't the ideal situation, but that was the easiest way to get things working.

  • Need help to analysis "foreground and background wait events" on statspack report for oracle database 11.2.0.4 on AIX

Hi: I'm analyzing this STATSPACK report: it is "volume test" on our UAT server, so most input is from 'bind variables'.  Our shared pool is well utilized in oracle.  Oracle redo logs is not appropriately configured on this server, as in 'Top 5 wait events' there are 2 for redos.
I need to know what else information can be dig-out from 'foreground wait events' & 'background wait events', and what can assist us to better understanding, in combination of 'Top 5 wait event's, that how the server/test went?  it could be overwelming No. of wait events, so appreciate any helpful diagnostic or analysis.  Database is oracle 11.2.0.4 upgraded from 11.2.0.3, on IBM AIX power system 64bit, level 6.x

Hi: just know it now: it is a large amount of 'concurrent transaction' designed in this "Volume Test" - to simulate large incoming transaction volme, so I guess wait in eq:TX - row is expected.
The fact: (1) redo logs at uat server is known to not well-tune for configurations (2) volume test slow 5%, however data amount in its test is kept the same by each time import  production data, by the team. So why it slowed 5% this year?
The wait histogram is pasted below, any one interest to take a look?  any ideas?

  • Crystal Reports for eclipse 2.0 deployed on unix

    Hi,
We have designed few crystal reports using u201CCrystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0u201D on windows platform. We have embedded this report into a J2EE Web application and deployed the web application on Tomcat 6.X server.
We are able to generate the reports successfully on windows environment. But when deployed the web Application on to Tomcat server 6.X on Solaris environment we get runtime exception as below.
com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.lib.ReportSDKClientDocException: The document has not been opened.---- Error code:-2147215349.
It is failing at At clientDoc.open(reportName, OpenReportOptions._openAsReadOnly) of the JSP whaich was shared where clientDoc is an object of ReportClientDocument. That is it is failing to open the .rpt.
The eclipse generated JSP used to invoke the report sa follows.
    <%@ page contentType="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1" %><%@ page import="com.businessobjects.samples.CRJavaHelper,

    %>
Note : We have not installed any crystal report servers in both windows or UNIX environment. But we have deployed all the relavant crystal report jars for the java runtime environment.
If anyone has come across such error please help. Also let me know if we need to have external RAS set up for this?By default the the RAS will be set to "inproc:jrc"  which works fine on windows environment.
    regards,
    Madhu

I am having similar problems.  Environment works perfectly in Windows.  All JARS and config files moved to AIX UNIX machine.  I get nothing more than a Crystal Reports 'Error' on the screen!!!
Any ideas since this was posted??

  • Customized report for cost centers by different cost centers

    Hi All,
Customized report for cost centers by different cost centers:
I need to build a customised report with the following format:
Cost element columns | Cost center 1 | cost center 2 | cost center 3, etc -> dynamic cost center columns
    CE 1 .............................. amount xxx  |  . amount xxx | ..  amount xxx
    CE 2 .............................. amount xxx  |  . amount xxx | ..  amount xxx
    CE 3 .............................. amount xxx  |  . amount xxx | ..  amount xxx
    CE 3 .............................. amount xxx  |  . amount xxx | ..  amount xxx
    User selection screen:
    Controlling are:
    Fiscal Year:
    From period to period:
cost center group ... <range of CC group> or
cost center value ... <range of CC value>
    Questions:
From the above selection screens, I need to pull out all the data stored in the table: COEP
But, the problem is that inside this table, there is no cost center or cost center group stored; and therefore the program should be smart enough to pull out all the documents from the table: COEP and then make sure that the document / list of documents that pull out should belongs to the cost center or cost center group, as well as date range.
KIndly advise how functional description/design should be built in order ABAPer can understand the requirement?
What should be the tables to refer in order meet the requirement.
Similar Standard SAP cost center report should be S_ALR_87013611 - Cost Centers: Actual/Plan/Variance, but this report read from many tables.

    Hi,
Please find the logic below & try it at your system-
Here cost center group is not possible (also i not checked it so do it on your own simultaneously i am trying the same).
Use Table BSEG-> in bseg give the cost center-> with the help of cost center find the account number (field HKONT)-> take this GL account number & got to table COEP-> in this give the GL account number at field 'offsetting account' (field GKONT) & you will get the line item.
Try it & let me know if you have any question.
    Thanks
