Is dotted underlining available in RH7?

I use a lot of drop down text in my system and I need a way
of distinguishing it from jump links. I don't like to use colour
alone and am wondering about dotted underlining but it doesn't seem
to be available in the formatting section of RH7. Is this
right?

Hi there Authorgirl
RoboHelp does not provide this option. So you will need to
put your creative approach hat on. See if the link below helps with
this.

  • How can I get dotted underline inAdobe XML?

    Hi, I try to use dotted underlines in XFDF, but I don't know how. I tried to used all possible ways, but without succes. Could anyone help me??Please.....

    However, if I need to include "skos:narrower" elements then what I need to do? Do I need to write PL/SQL code for that and separately get this data ? or I can get repeating elements in the SQL query?I knew you were going to ask this, that's why I anticipated in my previous reply :
    However, if you want to extract repeating nodes such as <skos:narrower>, you have to decide how you want the output to look like (nested collection etc.).So, how do you want to store repeating elements?
    For example, you can use a collection type :
    create type narrower_t is object ( res varchar2(2000) );
    create type narrower_coll is table of narrower_t;
    select x.ID
         , x.NO
         , cast(
             multiset(
               select res
               from xmltable(
                      xmlnamespaces(
                        'http://www.w3.org/1999/02/22-rdf-syntax-ns#' as "rdf"
                      , 'http://www.w3.org/2004/02/skos/core#' as "skos"
                    , '/skos:narrower'
                      passing x.narrowers
                      columns res varchar2(2000) path '@rdf:resource'
             as narrower_coll
           ) as narrowers
    from th_xml t
       , xmltable(
           xmlnamespaces(

           , 'http://www.w3.org/2004/02/skos/core#' as "skos"
         , '/rdf:RDF/skos:Concept'
           passing t.in_file_1
           columns
             ID         number       path 'skos:ID'

  • Dotted underline

    Hi again guys
    I know this is an easy one for the CSS gurus. I am trying to
    give the links here (in the navigation)...
    http://www.irerica.com/efortresses/
    ... a dotted underline, (when in Hover) using border rather
    than underline so that I can have the appearance of a dotted
    underline rather than solid. i have done this when experimenting,
    but now that i am building, it isn't working...Not in IE 7 anyway,
    it is in FF.
    I am sure this is some IE/CSS thing I am not yet aware of.
    Can anyone shed any light on how I need to get it right?
    Thanks
    Andy

  • Stopping grammar checking (green dotted underline)

    How to I turn off the green dotted underlining, please? Would seem to be a grammar checker, as it's the wrong color for misspelled words, but I see no reference to grammar checking. It's annoying and I would love to find a way to disable it.
    Thanks.

    How did you do that please. I also find it annoying.

  • Dotted Underline appears in text?

    When I try to change the text color, a dotted line appears beneath my text and it renders when I export to a pdf.  There are no settings activated for underline and I can't seem to be able to find anything online.?

    It would have to be a Stroke setting of Type:Dotted, no? (Window--Stroke, F10), not an underline.  Don't underlines always result in a non-dotted solid line underneath the text?
    Or, I suppose it could be a Character Style (Shift F11) with the Strikethrough suboption of Type:Dotted and possibly an Offset as well (?).
    I guess you'd have to select it first then check both the Character Styles and Paragraph Styles panels to see if any style gets chosen (turns blue) as you do the selecting.
    Keep the Stroke (F10) panel  open as well to see if anything "lights up" when you select the text with the dotted line.
    Then check the Character Panel (Shift-F11) menu (top right of panel): Strikethrough Options to see if a dotted strikethrough has been set.
    Or, it could be a Paragraph Style (F11) with either of the above embedded in it.

    Kuassi,
    I see that files "javadoc.zip" and "demo.zip" report the same file sizes for both 10.2.0.2 and 10.2.0.1 versions. Are the 10.2.0.2 versions of these files identical to the 10.2.0.1 versions?
    Thanks,
    Avi.

  • How to get dotted underline in text (not solid) in Photoshop?

    I need to underline the text with dotted line not with solid underline. How?

    Not that I know. PS doesn't do customizable text decorations. Ironically even web browsers are more versatile in that regard...

  • Tiny red dots underlining auto-fill address and name fields?

    Just very recently, my computer started to underline, with tiny red dots, some of my inputs into address fields, and even now, while I am writing this message.
    Is this a virus? What can it be?

    welcome to Discussions!
    You probably have your Safari spell-checker on.
    To disable it, open Safari, and go to Edit>Spelling and UNcheck "Check Spelling as you type".
    Good luck!

  • Spelling Problems... Red dotted underline

    Hi,
    I don't mind having spell checker turned on in safari, but it's underlining too many correct and common word. Even the word "spelling" is underlined in the subject of this email.
    any suggestions?

    One test you can do to help narrow down things is to try Safari in another user account.
    This will help us to know whether your problem is local to your account or system wide. If you don't have another account you can use System Preferences -> Accounts -> \[+\] to create a test one (and \[-\] to remove it if needed)

  • Dashed/Dotted Line instead of underlined Text

    Hi All,
    I am trying to build a component in which I need to show dashed or dotted line instead of underline for <mx:Text/> control.
    Say if I have underlined text in various places in a <mx:Text/> I want the that text should be underlined with a dashed/dotted line but not complete solid line.
    How can I acheive this...? Anyone having any ideas on this ...?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bhasker Chari

    Hi GordonSmith,
    Thank you very much for replying...I also had this thought in mind but it would be very difficult it seems because inorder to find the coordinates of each character where the underline is there and push the coordinates into an Array by traversing the whole text and after that we need to draw the lines onto th e UI using the drawing API.
    And one more thing I have observed is using the drawing API(by drawing using sprite) we need to add the sprite to the stage so we need to draw for each and every  underlined character using sprite and we need to add it to the stage.
    Say if the <mx:Text /> control is in a canvas container then we need to add sprite instance drawing dotted underline for each word and add it to the Canvas container...but this will make the positioning of the dotted line very difficult.
    Hope this makes sense....
    Thanks in advance,
    Bhasker Chari

  • Adding a Dotted red line under characters in a UITextView

    I am trying to create my custom spell checker for the UITextView.
    To show that a word is misspelled, I need to add the "red dotted line" under the misspelled word. To do that, here is what I thought would work -
    I create a dictionary which contains the values for the key NSUnderlineStyleAttributeName. However, what this does is, it does underline the characters but it does not have a dotted pattern. Also, setting the strokeColorAttribute also does not seem to have any effect.
    Here is my code -
    NSMutableDictionary *misspelledAttributes = [NSMutableDictionary dictionary];
    [misspelledAttributes setObject:[NSNumber numberWithInt:kCTUnderlineStyleThick|kCTUnderlinePatternDot] forKey:NSUnderlineStyleAttributeName];
    [misspelledAttributes setObject:[UIColor redColor] forKey:NSStrokeColorAttributeName];
    To set the attributes to a attributed string for a particular range -
    NSMutableAttributedString *attrString = [self.textView.attributedText mutableCopy];
    [attrString addAttributes:misspelledAttributes range:wordRange];
    self.textView.scrollEnabled = NO;
    self.textView.attributedText = attrString;
    self.textView.selectedRange = NSMakeRange(NSMaxRange(range), 0);
    self.textView.scrollEnabled = YES;

    I agree that the NSStrokeColorAttributeName is not the correct property to use. I am not able to edit my post to remove that piece of code.
    I am trying to do this for my iOS project and NSUnderlineColorAttributeName is not available for iOS yet. It is only available for OSX. I just checked that in the developer library.
    Am I missing something here?
    Also, I am unable to add a "dotted" underline. All I can do is put a single line under the text. is Apple allowing us to only put a single line and not any of the other types of underline styles such as dashed, dotted etc.?

  • End of file on comms channel after install of 8.1.7 on RH7

    Hi
    Afetr discovering that no tech support is available with RH7.1 and 8.1.7 (NOT supported!!) we have downgraded to RH7.
    When trying to create a database using svrmgrl, the thing just hangs after about 2 minutes saying :
    ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
    Once this has happened you cannot use svrmgrl again until you reboot the box :(
    Any ideas on where to look for this one?

    I encountered the same problem. I even ignored the messages and finished creating database.
    But no matter what method I tried to connect to the database afterwards I got the same message.

  • Apex 4.2: Help text to show as dotted line instead of default circle

    Hello
    I've entered help text for most fields on a long form.
    The help text icon is a grey circle with a question mark in it, which displays to the right of the page item.
    Occasionally, the help text icon doesn't fit on the line, and displays slightly or entirely below the page item.
    I'd like the help text to display instead on hover of the page item label, which should display a dashed or dotted underline.
    Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks
    Emma

  • Changes color of vector dot pattern

    Newb using one of the vector dot patterns available in Illustrator. I am having trouble with changing the colors of the dots.  Once I expand or break the link, all colors I try to make it, turn grey.
    Thanks in advance..

    Thanks for the reply Monika!  I tried your suggestion with a pattern swatch and it worked with ease.  However the dot "pattern" I am using is technically a symbol and isn't responding the same way the pattern swatch did.  Ideas?
    Thanks again

  • Underlines of image layers imported from PSD

    The above image is the layers panel in Illustrator of a placed PSD file that was imported with the layers maintained.
    What do the dotted underlines for the two layers mean? Do they just mean they are layers or something else?
    There were layer masks on those layers in Photoshop, but they were applied to the image so there is a transparency around the image.
    I understand what has happened to the image, I just don't understand what the dotted lines are supposed to signify.

    Opacity masks.
    See Transparency palette.
