Is Dreamweaver cs5 64-bit installer compatible to 32-bit pc?

Please help I really need to know your suggestions guys because I have this 32-bit pc and 64-bit DW cs5 installer please, please help.....

Dreamweaver CS5 on Windows 7 64 bit. I tried using the builtin updater and manually downloading the update using Chrome, but the result is always:

I renamed C:\Users\MyUserName\AppData\Local\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0 to 1.0- (effectively deleting it) and reran the installer (AdobePatchInstaller.exe) manually. The 1.0 directory was recreated, and aamu.log contains the following:

BTW, this machine boots from an SSD (C:), and CS5 is installed on E:. Not sure if that is significant or not. Previous updates installed fine.

WLS 32-bit installer on a 64-bit JVM

Hi All,
I was also told that I could run the WLS 10.3.1 (32 bit) installer wls1031_solaris32.bin along with a 64-bit JVM and WebLogic will run in 64-bit mode. Is that true?
If yes then what is the need for a 64 bit installer?
My underlying OS is solaris 64 bit.
I wonder how is that possible. Can anyone help me understand?

It doesn't make sense to me that a 32-bit installer is installing a 64-bit JVM unless that installer will install both 32-bit and 64-bit JVMs.
I would suggest you use the installer from the edelivery site: WebLogic Server 9.2 MP3 Sun Solaris SPARC (64-bit) V15433-01 598M.

I am trying to reinstall iTunes 11.1.5 after the update hung. I noticed that the 64 bit installer uses the 32-bit "Programs" folder as the default. Is this correct?

The update from v11.1.3 to 11.1.5 using the iTunes internal updater hung about 80% through the install. I had to kill it and reboot before I could uninstall the existing version since I did not know what state the program was in. When I started the reinstall using the 64 bit version, it showed a default installation directory of "Program Files (x86)". Is this correct? I know iTunes had something installed in the 64 bit "Program Files" directory.. Before I procede, I want to be sure that it is not going in the wrong place. I have a Win 8 PC.

Yes... that is correct.
On 64-bit machines iTunes installs various components into the following folders (or localized equivalents):
C:\Program Files\Bonjour

V490 pci slot (64 bit) backwards compatible with 32 bit card?

As the subject states I have a pair of SunFire V490's that I need to put 32 bit fiber NIC's in. (Reason for 32 bit cards is that it is a one way solution and the company has not updated their tech www.owlcti.com )
It is my understanding that 64/32 bit cards/slots are usually interchangeable they just run at 32. Any help on the matter is greatly appreciated.

Is the hot-plug issue just with all of your PCI cards or just some? I have two NI PCI-6514 cards in hot-plug slots that show up in the NI Measurement & Automation Explorer. Unfortunately, I have yet to test the I/O functions of the cards.

Stuck at 21% of the Dreamweaver CS 5.5 installer

My situation before i had troubles:
- CS3 Web Premium installed;
- Dreamweaver CS5.5 upgrade installed over this;
- I tried installing the latest mobile development update for DW CS5.5 but kept getting the U44M1P7 error so i followed this guide: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1p7-installing-updates-ccm.html (Solution 2)
I deinstalled everything, reinstalled CS3 Web Premium and DW CS5.5 installer told me i didn't have the right serial for an upgrade so i chose the trial version instead with the idea of fixing this issue later on.
Now my situation:
- CS3 Web Premium installed;
- Dreamweaver CS5.5 upgrade installer stuck at 21% for more then 90 minutes now. I tried both the downloaded trial version and the CD version but both get stuck at 21%;
It's stuck at installing Adobe Dreamweaver Widget Browser, that's all i can see.
I also tried rebooting a few times.
Please help.

The log file only get's updated as soon as i stop the installer via killing the process in task manager. There is no other way to stop it because it's stuck. Here is the part that's added the log file as soon as i do that:

Can we assume Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit and that you are dealing with purchased installation files instead of tryout?
In either case, it might be easier for you to consider the download of the Premiere Elements 13 tryout from the following web site, where it might be easier to pin point the files that you need for your specific computer environment, that is, 32 bit installation files for 32 bit operating system and 64 bit installation files for 64 bit operating system. . If you are dealing with purchased software and serial number, during installation of the tryout files you insert your purchased serial number into these installation files. And, remember, you need 2 files for the process...one with a .exe file extension and one with a .7z file extension

I have just purchased a P500/025 and should have picked 64 bit installation but installed 32 bit instead.
Could someone please give me instructions on how to install 64 bit vista over 32 bit Vista?
Will I loose everything I have installed on my current 32 bit installation?

The notebook seems to be preinstalled with both OS; 32bit and 64bit
At the banging of the installation procedure you can choose what OS you are want to use.
As far as I know you can reverse this very easily. You need to run the recovery procedure again.
Simply boot the notebook, press F8 and choose Repair my Computer.
Then choose Toshiba HDD recovery and then you should be pointed to the menu which allows you to choose the 32bit or 64bit OS.
Check it and post how it worked.

Not Dreamweaver cs5.5, but cs5. Is it fully compatible with Windows 8? It works with Windows 7.

I think it would make good sense. I hesitate to buy their products because I feel I am going to be left high and dry when the next operating system comes out. Every time my PC fails or is retired it is a guessing game as to what still works. Since software is so expensive, I find I am buying less and less – too risky. I simply do without and do not expand my IT horizons. It is a lot cheaper for the parent company to try it out and give a report than for every single user to take the plunge and potentially drown. The customers can only find out by installing the product. If it doesn’t work then there is the task of getting it off. Generally the software does not come off completely and the residue can cause complications. The companies could test until it stops working and then say that from this point back you will have to buy a new one. It sure would build consumer confidence and end a lot of aggravation.

The FTP function in Dreamweaver CS5 has suddenly stopped working. My ISP just had to upgrade their FTP servers and they said it was no longer compatible with the FTP in Dreamweaver CS5! Help!!

Ask in the DW forum and be much more specific about the requirements for your FTP connection like its ports, TLS settings and so on.

I'm willing to update the system as well, when I see that dreamweaver 5.5 runs smooth ... But until now I need 10.6.8 cause I'm still using Macromedia Dreamweaver MX ...

If not then please try it and install it on your system. Make sure DW is not running when you are updating it. You also need to restart the machine after the updates so that all the changes can take place.

I just installed windows 8 on a new SSD and am trying to open Dreamweaver CS5 from my secondary hard drive. I keep getting error "The application has failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail"? Won't Adobe CS5 work in Windows 8?
