Is Dreamweaver MX (6) compatible with OS 10.10 Yosemite?

Is Dreamweaver MX (6) compatible with OS 10.10 Yosemite?

Hi Matilde,
It sure has not been tested internally on this OS. Just to be sure, I encourage you to download and install a trial version of DW CC. https://creative.adobe.com/products/download/dreamweaver

  • Dreamweaver Flash not compatible with ASP

I've build an ASP page with DW CS4 that has also a Flash
    element on it.
When testing the page I've been surprised to see that IIS
    fires an error
saying that is not alowed to have nested object tags in a
    page. And that's
exactly what DW does when inserting Flash into a page!!!
This seems a big problem as it not uncommon to have some
    Flash elements
    inside ASP pages.
    Any solutions for this issue?
    Regards,
    Angel

  • Dreamweaver mx 2004 compatible with extension manager 1.8

Can Extension Manager V1.8 be used with dreamweaver mx2004?

There's no reason at all for a Flash navbar on that page.
Any CSS-styled navbar would work fine. Set up as a Server Side Include would remove all the tedium from keeping it maintained sitewide.
Alternatively, have you considered dispensing with Dreamweaver and setting up the entire website as a Wordpress site with a modern responsive Wordpress template?
Wordpress is free. You need a PHP enabled hosting account.
After that your only cost is the cost of the Wordpress Template if you choose a Premium one e.g. http://themeforest.net/popular_item/by_category?category=wordpress which I normally do since they're so cheap, attractive and powerful.
I've done this for a few non-profits and it serves them well with minimal to zero cost and any authorized person can safely update the website at any time.
Wordpress plugins (Premium and free) add a whole other layer of features and flexibility.

  • Is dreamweaver version 4 compatible with https protocols?

My file extension has recently changed to https from http, and when I try to connect to the remote site the error says it cannot find the remote file. Everything was working fine until they made that switch. Is version 4 (I realize its old) still compatible?

I seriously doubt that Macromedia DW4 qualifies for any discounts. It's obsolete software as is   Macromedia DW6 (aka MX 2004).
The OP needs to step up to Creative Suite 6 or higher.
My advice is to download a 30-day free trial of the Creative Cloud.

  • Is Contribute 6.5 compatible with Mac OS 10 Yosemite?

I have CS 5 and am having compatibility problems with my Mac (OS 10 Yosemite). Is CS 6.5 compatible? Should I wait for an upgrade to 6.5?

If they are, they're not saying. That is typical. Normally they don't say anything about upgrades until they announce the release.

In case you don't want to install JRE6 at all and simply use JRE8 without symlinking it to the JRE6 either you can do the following:
Copy the Info.plist located at the path named below to e.g. ~/Desktop/:
         /Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/jdk.1.8.<…>/Contents/
    and then replace
         <key>JVMCapabilities</key>
         <array>
         <string>CommandLine</string>
         </array>
    with the following:
         <key>JVMCapabilities</key>
         <array>
         <string>JNI</string>
         <string>BundledApp</string>
         <string>WebStart</string>
         <string>Applets</string>
         <string>CommandLine</string>
         </array>
Afterwards copy the file back to its original location (you need administrator rights). For this change to take effect you need to restart your computer. The dialog for Java 6 should shouldn't appear anymore and Photoshop should launch just fine using JRE8.
On a related note it appears that this plist change sticks even after updates done through the Java Preference Panel in the System Preferences.

since ive upgraded my mac to Yosemite 10.10 there is no driver for the printer to support my Mac. when will H.P. do and update? or how can i get my Pinter to work with my Mac?

    Hello Agustin-Pinales,
Actually, the HP Printer model you mentioned in the title, is actually supported internally to the Apple Operating System, and can be added through the ASU with HP Printer Software ver 3.0.  You should be able to add the printer through the Printer List under System Preferences, Printers & Scanners - and (+) symbol on the lower left.  Please feel free to look through this post with step by steps to help with updating through ASU, and installing your printer.

  • Is PSE10 compatible with OSX 10.10 Yosemite?

I am considering upgrading from OSX 10.9 Mavericks to OSX 10.10, but want to make sure that Elements 10 will still run smoothly. Is anyone here able to use PSE10 on Yosemite? If so, are you experiencing any issues?
    Thanks!

Did you delete preferences? If not, go to your user library and delete:
    com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements < version > Paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements < version > Settings
    com.adobe.Elements Organizer. < version >.plist
    com.adobe.ElementsOrganizer< version>.plist
and any lockfiles with the same names, then (since you’ve used Elements in Yosemite) go to Saved Application States (at the same level as preferences) and delete any for PSE, then repair permissions and launch PSE again.
To see the User library, click the Go menu in the Finder and hold down the Option key and it will appear below the little house for your user account.

  • Is photoshop CS5.1 compatible with Mac OS X Yosemite?

I just updated to Mac OS X Yosemite. In Design and Illustrator work fine after an update to Java 2014 but Phototoshop still doesn't open.
Is there a way to fix this without updating Photoshop itself?
    Thank you.

The Yosemite upgrade has been known to break the CS5 installation.
    You will have to uninstall/reinstall.

  • Is Dreamweaver compatible with Windows Vista?

No matter what I do I can't insert text into Dreamweaver. I'm
beginning to think Dreamweaver is not compatible with Windows
Vista. I can type text into it but I can't write a document in
another program then insert it into a DW page. It just won't do
anything at all. I've watched about 4 videos on this and read many
things on Dreamweaver help and can't find it. I think it might be
easier to learn html than Dreamweaver. I can't find any good
Dreamweaver tutorials, even in Lynda.com. They all teach as if you
already know most of the program.

Where are you copying the text FROM? Which app?

  • Is Dreamweaver 8 compatible with Mac OS X Lion 10.7?

Does anyone know if dreamweaver 8 is compatible with Mac OS X Lion 10.7? Want to update  all my hardware with iCloud, which means I need to move from OS 10.6 to 10.7, and I still want to be able to upload changes to my current website until my new site is built (in another application next year)...thanks!

From what I've been told (have been unable to get a good solid answer though) Lion DOES NOT have Rosetta to run PPC software or UB software. Everything Mac has to be Intel only to run in 10.7
