Is E7 Unstable for everyone or have I got a dud?

Hi all,
I have had my Nokia E7 for approx 6 months. Does anyone else find that it is a particularly unstable phone? Mine frequently locks up, and its not unusual for me to restart it twice a day to get it to start responding again. Issues I have with it include not connecting to Bluetooth, touch screen stops responding, whole phone stops responding, unable to answer phone calls, some times when a call comes in it causes phone to shut down yet keeps ringing for 30 sec to minute after it turns itself off. I have installed all possible software upgrades etc and find it very disappointing that a phone of this calibre has these issues. I do actually like the phone, just wish it would run smoothly.

I have an E7 and it is fine, although I noticed some third-party apps were making things run slow, things like a notification pull up menu, Fring, F_Secure and some others which I downloaded from Ovi, but never really used anyway. Once I got rid of these and did a hard reset, things are a lot smoother.
Of course, we all wish Nokia had stuck in one of those Belle phone 1GHz processors rather than the not-so-quick 680MHz ones, because we would all be benefiting from that extra power.
Oh well. Typical of them to put 2009 hardware in 2010 phones.
Nokias: 232, 3210, 3330, 6230, 6101, 6021, 6126, E75, E73, N900, N8, E6, E7, N9. There's a Samsung in there somewhere too, but...we don't talk about that.

Thanks... that aswers that one... Pro is not installed. Does anyone know how I should use the new key to get it installed? It did not download anything when I bought it. Just told me to open QT and enter the key which I did but saw spectacularly little happen...

Skype Group Video: Free for everyone or not?

I've been paying for Skype Premium for 2 years now for group video chat. Now I read EVERYWHERE including Skype's website that says Skype Group Video chat is now free. So I chat with a Skype customer service guy to find out why I was charged for Skype Premium and why I even need it anymore. He tells me Group Video is NOT free for everyone and that it's coming in the near future. I asked him why the FRONT PAGE of Skype.com says it's free and all he says it that it's not free.
Anyone know what the deal is?

Indeed we had some changes recently with Group Video calling becoming a free feature in Skype. Some further reading here: http://blogs.skype.com/2014/04/28/skype-loves-bringing-groups-together-with-free-group-video-calling...
We therefor upgraded Skype Premium subscriptions as detailed here: https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA34454/what-s-new-with-group-video-calling
The Skype Premium subscription you have includes an unlimited calling option to a country of your choice. This should get upgraded to an "Unlimited World" subscription allowing you to call 60+ countries while keeping the same subscription price. This upgrade hasn't seem to have happened yet for your account though.

CUPS, Jabber for Everyone....Avaya???

We have a customer asking if Jabber for Everyone can be used with their Avaya phone system.
The documents don't really talk about this. Avaya's own presence solution uses XMPP and Jabber.
Is there any way to hook Cisco Presence (Jabber for Everyone, or some other flavor of it) to an Avaya phone system?

Have a question for everyone

I am going nuts with this "cannot read from or write to" problem so many of us are having. My question is, exactly how many of us are there here having the same problems. Since we are consumers, and we have purchesed a product and are recieving absolutly NO help, there may have to be some "legaly" agressive action.
What do you all think?
I bought these two iPods because they were "Supposed" to be the best. My buddies Mp3 player from Wal-Mart is kicking mines *$$...

I guess I need to clarify myself. In no way am I saying we should get together and sue Apple. I am saying that in all the discussions I have had with SOME of Apples reps, being told I am the "First case they have heard of" and still not getting anywhere was REALLY starting to get me upset. Until yesterday, I got ZERO help. Yesterday I spoke with a very nice rep from Apple who directed me to the following site( depot.info.apple.com )
Marc, not shure what "Flooding" is and for the record, I am NO Wal-Mart fan. I am only here looking for help and answers for everyone who is having a very difficult time.

I have been reading and looking around about posts like this is and this is what has been stated many many times
The two year warranty (some places upto 6 years) of consumer goods is a law that is being misrepresented by some indeividuals and companies.
It is not correct to claim that european law mandates a two year hardware warranty.
A warranty such as Apple and other manufacturers provide, is not mandated.
However what is mandated, is that the seller (not the manufacturer) offers a form of product guarantee which assumes a fault within the first six month has been present from the date of purchase.
If the seller would object to such a claim from a consumer within the first six month, the seller would have to prove his case.
IE a failure within the first 6 months is covered by the seller. The seller is then to take it up with the manufacturer.
After six month and up to 24 month after the purchase, the consumer has to prove to the seller that the claimed defect has been present or inherit in the device from the date of purchase (out of the box).
Finally - A Guarantee is not a Warranty.
Bit crappy but when people start throwing the laws around, what it basically boils down to is this, you need to speak to who you bought the product from, NOT the manufacturer, unless you bought it from them directly.

This is a general comment, not directed to anyone, and not to be taken personally by anyone. This ongoing screw up with the new upgrade (5.0.1) is getting to be a **** SHAME. In no way can APPLE or anyone else for that matter not know by now that the upgrade is terribly flawed. The Ipod machines themselves are super great products, and I enjoy mine to the max. However the upgrade once applied ruins it. And at least, not to my current knowledge, there haven't been any fixes forcoming.
In my opinion Apple should own up to that fact and warn folks that, even though the upgrade was presented with the best intentions, IT JUST AIN"T WORKING. And not to download it until further notice. This noticication could be done through the retail sales outlet, online, what ever.
I liken this to a pharmaceutical coming out with a new vaccine, encourage everyone to use it, then discover it's bad to the degree it causes it uses to become sick. Rather then pull the vaccine they keep on allowing unsuspecting ones to continue to vaccinate, and become sick. What a shame!

Any contacts synced with the Yahoo account will be deleted from the phone if you turn it off. They will still be out there in Yahoo land, so if you turn it off and it deletes something you didn't want to, just turn it back on again.

If this doesn't work, open Disk Utility from Recovery (if you have OS X Lion or Mountain Lion, pressing Command and R keys while your Mac is starting) or the Mac OS X DVD (if you have Snow Leopard or older, pressing C key while your Mac is starting), select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and repair permissions.
If this doesn't work, reinstall Mac OS X
