Is everyone liking the new update??

i dunno if it is just me, but it seems as though my phone got very "laggy" after that update...and this new search page right before your regular home page is kinda weird, and laggy as well...is there anyway to get rid of the "search page"...on the bright side...i do love the new features...copy, paste, mms, etc... =)

its been pretty slow since the very beginning...i've rebooted like 5 times in one day, and it is still pretty slow...i mean, i dont mind it being slow, but it is a rough lagginess...not smooth at all like it used to be...kinda like when something is working too hard for your computer to handle...its weird...never had this issue with my 3g before =/

I need help with the new update

I am at a complete loss on what to do. I have been trying to install the new update but it keeps bringing up an error. I have searched on here for some solutions and I believe I am not doing this right. I have uninstalled all the items everyone has suggested (ex. Bonjour...) and rebooted. I went and downloaded iTunes again but two things keep happening:
1. While the iTunes Setup is installing and pop-up box says "Object already exists" and this pops up multiple times
and
2. After those messages go away another pop up says "iTunes Installer completed - Errorc occurred during installation before iTunes could be configured. Your system has not been modified. To complete the installation, run the installer again."
What am I doing wrong here? Can someone please help me? I have a Windows 7 laptop.

For "Object already exists" or "Access denied" errors when installing try opening Control Panel > Programs and Features > View installed updates then checking for Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB2918614). Uninstall if you have it, then reboot, and try installing iTunes again.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Is there any problem with the new update 6.1.2 for iphone 5?

After I updated my iphone 5 to the new update there seems to be some difficulties with the camera. I get pink lines everywhere. It is a matter of seconds before it gets clear and again pink. But the problem started after the update. I asked other people who use iphone 5 and they said they didnt have the same problem. Its kinda weird I think. any suggestions?

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the red slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove the camera app from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Camera app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Camera app
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Cancel the update and start over again. You will most likely have to restore the iPad now anyway.
If you were using WiFi, try rebooting the iPad and see if by some miracle the download and install completes. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. Try the download again.
If that doesn't work, try using iTunes to update. But turn off your firewall and antivirus software before you update,

Will updating my ipod touch with the new update erase all my pictures/music/apps?

The update itself will not affect your music. However, anytime you do a major update like this one there is a risk that there could be other issues that would require you to restore your device (not likely, but possible). Therefore, you should back up your device before you do the upgrade.
Back it up to iTunes on a computer, or to iCloud. Then do the upgrade to iOS 7.
That way, if you do have an issue that requires a restore, you can restore it to the backup you created.

Question About the New Update Due out this Month

Hi I would like to know when Apple, does come out with the New update this month will it be for the New iPhone, do out on June 9th,2008 or for the People who have the Old iPhone, that will then be out dated?

Firmware update 2.0 will be for all existing iPhones, and for all iPod Touch(es), but iPod Touch owners must pay a nominal fee for the update due to accounting reasons.
Firmware update 2.0 will likely be pre-installed on the 2nd generation iPhone. If not, it can be installed as an update the same as for the first generation iPhone.
Updates for the first generation iPhone will not stop after the 2nd generation iPhone is released. Both will be running the same operating system, with the only hardware difference we know for certain included with the 2nd generation iPhone is a 3G chipset making it a 3G phone.
The first generation iPhone will not become outdated when the 2nd generation iPhone is released. There are some people in the U.S. that don't live in an area where at&t has 3G network coverage, and where at&t doesn't have plans to add 3G network coverage this year or the next.
You purchase a new computer this week, and a new and improved version of the same computer model is released within 6 months or a year. This doesn't make the computer you purchased this week outdated. The same applies to the iPhone.

Is It Just Me Or Are The New Updates To The IPhone Messing Up My Phone?

Ok, so ever since the IPhone 4 came out, there have been more software updates to previous IPhones which is normal, but I've had problems. Actually, EVERYONE who I know that has an IPhone has been having problems with the new updates. By problems I mean my phone freezes all the time, all my apps crash, my keyboard is all jacked up, my phone randomly shuts off and the list continues...so annoying. I'm not a very technical person but I relate the problems to the new updates. Honestly, I think it's been happening as a way for Apple to make us buy the new IPhone...all the problems are starting to convince me to trade it in for an IPhone 4. They win.

YES! YES! YES! It totally hosed mine. Of ocurse, let me preface this by saying that my iPhone has been a piece of crap since day one. I have a 3G. When I first got it I could barely hear anyone on my phone even turned all the way up. After the frist update I did it was somewhat better but not great. After last one I did, it would shut itself off when I was texting or using the internet. A LOT! I could be sitting right beside my husband and have no bars. And he'd have wifi and I couldn't get it. Not a foot apart! Wrote Apple. They sent me a phone to use while they were fixing mine. This one does the same exact thing. I will NEVER have another iphone!

Everyone who is upset with the new update ( missing Key Lock, missing contacts, etc. ) please say so here. Maybe if we get enough people to join on ONE post they'll do something about it. I shouldnt have to use a password to actually lock my device. Most phones out on the market today have a simple way of locking the keys. Plus the new software seems to run sluggish and slow.
Just type that you agree, maybe they'll get the idea.

Additionally, when you set a password on the device you can then have the lock icon on the device. Pressing the K key will lock the device as well.
Without setting the password, then the lock icon lock button on top (see the image below) will do a regular keypad lock, similar to the old removed standby feature. AND, you can press and hold A to lock the keypad. K key will not work when a password is not set.
Pressing and holding the mute button for standby has been removed.

How have people been doing with the new update?

It says that the update "...improves overall stability and performance...". Just curious, as I have been privy to emails everytime someone responded to the "Is anyone's FCP X not crashing on a consistant basis" thread, and have noticed that a lot of people have had many stability problems. How is everyone doing with the new update? Does it seem to help?

Just gets better and better .... FCP x didn't like the "Tutorial Event" being open as per the dialogue in my previous post so I moved it out of the events folder and then restarted FCP x ....
This is what I get now .... GUFFAW!!!!
All I did was restart FCP x ..... ???? GUFFAW!!! In version 73.66 they will then display the "Invalid argument" so I know what the he ll they are talking about. Did all the programmers go on vacation when Jobs resigned?

I have some Notes and suggestions and things I hope Integrate and modify in the new update soon..
- we need more than one font like ios7 in BlackBerry 9900 specially the new arabic font its very sucks and bad
- we need more than one style for keyboard
- receive notification from application like telegram and all application in Hub directly like bbm and whatsapp
- the arabic keyboard in 10.3 it not same 10.2 - some key change location not like before and that bad we need the orginal arrangement like BlackBerry q10 arabic keyboard and 9900
- Arabic keyboard it very very tight and small compare the english keyboard
- support application for vpn like hotspot shield or another solution because some application blocked in some countries
- support change the keyboard and android keyboard
- the bbm application sometimes became slow when typing

I received the new update from Itunes and after installing, I couldnt get into my Itunes. I get a message from Windows saying that an MC file is missing and to reinstall I tunes. I have reinstalled 3 times, the first time I didn't remove the old version, I installed the update over it. Next I tried the repair function under Control Panel. After that, I uninstalled Itunes and reinstalled again from the website. I still get the same message about missing files from Windows.
