Is Facebook App really for Pearl 8100?
Installing the Facebook app from the App World has been a great pain. App World Expects 4.5.x OS while Pearl runs off 4.2.x. The interesting part is the website states that Facebook App supports 4.2+.
I can access mobile.blackberry.com from the device but download stops at mobile.blackberry.com/facebook/static/index_redirect.shtml.
What is going on?
Would be nice to get a download link to files and use the DM to install the apps

Desktop manager download and rearranging files for Pearl 8100
I have a Pearl 8100 and lost my desktop manager CD and need to load it on to my new laptop. Where can I download this? I have tried a search here at this website, but I can't seem to narrow down what I need specifically.
Also, I was wondering if it were possible to move files around, specifically, from within a folder to the desktop. For example, Brickbreaker and Messenger.

Stereo Bluetooth for Pearl 8100??????
Is there anyone out there who has found a bluetooth that will stream music through it from the Pearl 8100? To my knowledge the phone doesn't support the A2DP Profile and that's why music doesn't stream through to a stereo bluetooth. But is there a software for this phone that will enable that function. I would really like a solution to this problem. Can anyone HELP?
Till now rumor is like that. No one is confirming the exact features of new os. We'll have wait till the new release.

Facebook app asks for password more often that before update
This is only happened a few times, but before I updated the Facebook app, it never asked me for my FB password, unless I logged off. Anyone else notice this?

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists. -
I recently bought this pearl from a third party and the IT policy is set in such a way that it will not let me change the security access for my memory card. does anyone have any suggestions on how I can change this? I can't seem to find a way to change the IT policy myself, but I might be looking in the wrong place

According to Doc ID : KB13930, it'll be supported on BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2. Does anybody know when it'll be released or if one can participate in a beta trial of the software?

As with most of you, I'm experiencing the same issues with both my mouse and keyboard not pairing after changing batteries. I spoke with my tech guy at work and he knows of the problem and told me how to fix it - which I tried but couldn't do it. So I brought them into work and gave then to my tech guy just to see if they would pair with another Mac G5. He was having the same problem but was able to get them to pair. This is what he did -
1. Ran the BT set up.
2. When he made it to the enter passkey and typed in the PK but it didn't work, he would hit the continue button, turn the keyboard off/on super fast and retype in the PK.
After a few times, it worked. He also suggested pulling the batteries out and placing them back in in the middle of the process. He doesn't know why this works other then saying "it's finicky".
Just one other note. He got my mouse to connect with no problem. I couldn't at home. I'm writing this at work and will try this solution tonight and let everyone know if it works for me.

i'm facing problem to open any app in my ipod touch from this morning- after clicking the app icon, it goes nowhere- i can open facebook using the safari but not through facebook app- same for rest of the apps!
Holding down the center/select button and the menu button will reboot your ipod. See if that helps. Also, I'd recommend something else- I had nothing but trouble with my ipod classic until I spent $20 to get Mac OS Mountain Lion. It did what you said and sometimes wouldnt play, or wouldnt power on...
Try rebooting your ipod and let me know what happens and maybe in the future obtain Mountain Lion to aide your ipod in functionality.

Facebook app crashes on launch. Help?
I have an older iPad thatis not eligible for an iOS 6 update. The problem didn't start until a couple of days ago and I didn't do any updates or new installs to trigger the problem's start. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it as well as just powering the iPad on and off again and neither have worked. Anyone have any insight on fixing this problem?
It has also been a bit finicky about crashing out of apps every once and a while, mainly the Dolphin browser. That problem isnt too persistent though, but if anyone has some advice as to why it's doing that it would be greatly appreciated.

I did an updated yesterday to the new IOS 7.0.4 on my 4s. Now my facebook app is really small when I open it. I tried to re install it a few times I also checked for updates to the app. Can't figure it out.
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss) -
As of 3/30/13, when logging off of Facebook using the Facebook App, it will not log me out. It is now permanently keeping me logged in. No problem logging off of Facebook when I do not use the App. Is there anyone that can tell me why this is happening and what I need to do to Logout of Facebook. I like using the App for Facebook but I also want to be able to log off, I do not like to stay logged in. Is there something different with the latest Apple software I downloaded a couple of weeks ago, IOS 6.1.3?
it also could be something different, if you try google hangounts. change password and log out it still recieves notifications. its how apples handles the "channel" notification system for apps that recieve notifications or do backroung sync, and im sure at some point that security hole will be a hijack point. i think its called XO auth. and is why it can maintain session even after an apperant logout
if you go to the app and it shows you have logged out but are still recieving notifications then that is evidence of the bug.
also look and find the option for "keep me logged in" i remember in the past that would allow a autologin after logout. also if the app does NOT save the logout status correctly in its "memory" the above refereced system will auto login you with the XO app authentication.
if there really is no keep me logged in option. then what crh24 said, they designed it delibertly to keep you logged in. though i never remember a problem on my ios 6,. are you on ios 7, bunny hop? -

Can someone tell me if I can get App world on a pearl 8100? I have downloaded the app on the phone, but I can't find the icon. Also I have tried setting up App World under my Blackberry ID, but it keeps coming up with the following error message

Notifications (specifically for the Facebook app)
I just bought a Nokia 720, and so far I'm very disappointed because the notifications for the Facebook app don't come through at all.
When I get messages on FB chat I expect to be notified, and having used Android and iOS in the past this isusually what happens, but not so on this phone.
It's very frustrating and I'm really disappointed with the phone because of it. Simple things such as notifications should not be a problem. I'm not sure if it has the same problem for other apps, as I have been focusing on trying to fix this specific problem.
I can't find a solution. Having the app notification settings to toasts and tile count I presumed if I got a message it would show me at the top of the screen and then leave a number on the cover of the FB app.
Is there a way to fix this? I'd like to fix it and then I can start enjoying my new phone, and not feeling like I wasted £300.After searching and searcing I found that a suggestion to:
setting > general > reset > reset location and privacy
it worked...
i just had to reinstall the app from the app store. -
I Have just updated my iphone 5 Facebook app, to version 11.0 and do not like it. Is it possible for me to go back to my previous version?
Okay, I found the answer myself. Going to about:config and setting browser.showQuitWarning to true, restored that option and brought it back. Thanks to anyone who is about to post. If this is false by default, it has got to change.
