Is Final Cut Pro 7 more intuitive and easy going than Final Cut Pro 6?

I am a bit frustrated and feel that Final Cut Pro 6 is quite difficult to get the grasp of. Is FCPRO version 7 improved when it comes to being more intuitive and user friendly?

You should look at the Apple web site and see what's new in the applications. I can't tell if the features introduced in them will be worth that for you.

Thanks again for the message. I've done the updates and have the App Store on my desktop. I went into it and searched for imovie but couldn't find the basic imovie, which I presume is what I'd need for editing?, rather than imovie 11 for £10.49, which is for making trailers, it seems. Also, were you saying that imovie would be free?

i got 4.7ghz but my gtx is just 850 right now but i could do higher, what voltage did you have it set? and i have the EVGA 2.5GB version, may not overclock as well if you used the 1gb version

RamCash let you allow to set priority on Writing, Latency and some Others important details.
If you have the same CPU and GPU as I have we can start making sure this:
Your CPU is o.c. @ 4.7ghz or+.
GPU o.c.930mghz" this improve my time approx 7 sec."
Use 10gb of ram for ramcache, set latency on 10, and set writing priority.
Please let me know what HardD config you have and I will do with it.

Apart from the "Include Audio Tail" function, which can leave Logic bouncing for a very, very long time, there are generally, no discrepancies regarding the Bounce Locators:

If you get caught with a bounce that does not stop, Command . (period) should do the trick.

Acrobat X Pro is gone and only the trial for XI Pro is installed. Can I get X back?

I have CS6 Design Standard. On the seldom-booted (2x/month) Windows partition of my MacBook Pro Acrobat X Pro is gone and only the trial for XI Pro is installed. Can I get X back?
I don't know how/when/why the trial was installed because Windows is running for only a few hours a couple times a month. The most reasonable possibility is the App Manager. If it says there's an upgrade available I just click the button and pay no attention to details. I suspect amateurs like me aren't going to notice one additional character in the name, if that's what happened. If that is what happened I'll never use the app manager again for fear of replacing fully functional apps with trial versions with short lives. Of course I am open to the idea that I did else something stupid.

The application manager should not have installed a trial version and XI is not an update for X. The manager should only install updates for the existing version.
To get AA X back you will have to reinstall it from your original media.

I have a new MacBook Pro Mid 2012 and it goes into deep sleep when I disconnect if from AC power.

I have a new 13" MacBook Pro mid 2012 and it goes into deep sleep when it is disconnected from AC power. I have to press the power button to wake it up. Is this a known issue or is there something wrong with the MacBook Pro?

There are a few threads about this around. Its a known issue for 2012 non retina users, not sure about Apple. It should not work this way and Apple has not put out an update to fix it yet. Check out these threads for some workarounds. I think I saw if you reinstall and don't update one of the updates you get normal functionality back. Otherwise there are some terminal changes you can make to make it operate mostly normally. I made some changes in terminal.

I choose to use LP9 with Snow Leopard myself (10.6.8 and 9.1.6) for most of my commercial work simply because I find that combo very stable and provides the best overall performance for my setups here... but I am also using LPX with Mavericks as part of my client support and that works fine too although with a drop in performance due to the heavier demands made on the hardware by the newer OS X and LPX graphic routines for example..

How to integrate Pro C compiler and liberies in order to compile Pro C in oracle 9i

I already installed The Database Server oracle 9i in my machine
i do not install the Oracle 9i client only the Database server.
but when i'm trying to compile Pro C sample program
i get an error:
operable program or batch file.
Error executing c:\winnt\system32\cmd.exe.
From what i know , oracle 9i Pro C liberay files must be in location "C:\Oracle\Ora92\precomp\lib\msvc" in my machine .
but this directory not exist and also the liberies are missing.
Do i miss something any installation of the oracle client?
Do i need to install also the oracle 9i client in order to have the Pro C compiler and all the
Pro C liberies .?

Pro*C is a client side tool ans so will be available when you install the Oracle client.

Un-installing FCP 5.0, DVDSP4 and SoundTrack - going to Final Cut Studio 5

I've just recieved my Final Cut Studio cross-platform upgrade.
I have stand-alone versions/upgrades of Final Cut Studio 5, DVD Studio Pro and SoundTrack.
Can I just install Final Cut Studio 5 and it will replace all my programs with current verions?
Or do I have to un-install all programs before installing Final Cut Studio? If so, how do I un-install them?

Yes, you can just let them all be overwritten, it'll be fine. Some people like to keep older version of software around, but if you're not one of those, go ahead and do the default install.

I went on my MacBook Pro this morning and found out that my Macbook Pro isnt charging, is the power adapter damaged? Or is it the power adapter string that attatches to the Macbook Pro?

Final Cut Pro 5.1 and a Macbook

I am looking to buy Final Cut Studio. I was hoping to get some feedback on this question: Must you have a MacbookPro to run Final Cut Pro 5.1 (and the rest of Final Cut Studio), or will it run on a Macbbok without any problems? I would really like to hear from People who has actually have run Final Cut Pro 5.1 on a Macbook and what their experiences were. I know the Macbook does not have the ATI Mobilty Radeon X1600 graphics card like the MacBookPro does. So was that an issue for anyone?

Motion crashes - Macbook Pro Software update and Firmware update

Anyone out there that is working with Motion 3.0.1 on one of the new Macbook Pros (Santa Rosa) and has installed both the Macbook Pro Software Update 1.0 and the EFI Firmware update (for the 15 inch models)???

The solution so far is to wipe the hard drive and reinstall everything from scratch EXCEPT the software update 1.0. However, I'm trying to find out if anyone has installed the Firmware update, which requires the software update to be installed first, and if they are running smoothly.

Often, I much prefer that to the Manual, though the Search function is very clunky. Search for Nest for example and you'll get about 50 listings for the table of contents and indexes alone, when all I would really want is the explanation of how to actually create a Nest.

Honestly, Apple's is the best I've seen for the moment.

I thought the Tutorial that came with my first copy of FCP (Version 2.0) was outstanding at introducing me to the interface and how FCP operated. I came from Media 100 and in particular, the Log and Capture operation was completely different than what I was used to.

Media Manager. Not sure why it has to be so convoluted. Media 100 was too easy with this one. Select the Sequence to be up-rez'd, set your new format and capture.

Actually both. If the electronic search gets too frustrating, I'll pull the print manual out to find what I really need.
