Is firefox 8 compatable with windows 7 64 bit?

I am upgrading my computer and it will have windows 7 64 bit installed. Can I use Firefox 8 or do I have to use a 64 bit version?

<p>As you can see, <a href="http://www.favbrowser.com/firefox-32-bit-x86-vs-firefox-64-bit-x64/">this page</a>64 bit builds indeed has an advantage against 32 bit builds.</p>
<p>In case you would like to download older <span class="IL_AD" id="IL_AD4">Firefox 3</span>.1 or 3.0 64 bit releases, check <a href="http://wiki.mozilla-x86-64.com/Download">this page</a></p>

  • Premier pro 5.5 not compatable with windows 7 64 bit

I have recently spent over 3.5 hours on the phone live only to be told they can't fix the problem of Premier pro shutting down in Windows 7 64bit every time I try to open it.
I was told to install Pro 4.  I have pro 4 and that is why I bought 5.5  Now I can't get pro 4 to work either it also is shutting down.  Has anyone had the problem.  I believe Adobe has left me hanging after spending 495.

I was finally luckey enough to get a tech on the phone.  To get the tech I had to call sales and explain what was happening , that the 800-833 6687 would get me to choice 2 for tech help and then hang  up.  This happened yesterday 10-28-2011 roughly 18 times.  The sales person was kind enough to stay on the phone and verify what I was saying and go through the connections and get me to a tech who knew what he was doing and take the time to do it.  It took roughly 1hour and 30 minutes to determine that the video card was the problem.  The adobe site lists my card and compatable with the suite.  I took the machine to Best Buy tech
and tried to show him the problem and the system worked.  I recreated the scene at home and found the difference was that BB was using only one monitor.  Premier Pro 5.5 is the only part of the suite that will not work with dual monitors.  For 3 days I have spent countless hours and exausted patience only to solve the problem myself.  So much for Adobe tech help.

  • Is Flash Player 11.7.700.224 really compatable with Windows Vista 64-bit?

I ask this question because under System Requirements, Window Vista 64-bit isn't listed.  I've inserted the link for the system requirements below...
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/tech-specs.html
I'm trying to figure why my Flash Player disappears from time to time when I'm watching a clip/video and then my Internet Explorer 9 typically stops working, it closes down, and then it opens up and asks me if I want to restore the browsing session.  I'm thinking that this has to do with having both Internet Explorer 9 32-bit and 64-bit.  I read online that Internet Explorer 9 has both and this is why I'm questioning whether Flash Player 11.7.700.224 might be contributing to this issue or was Window Vista 64-bit left off the system requirements in error?
    Thanks!

Try using the installers from the links in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550

  • Captivate 5.5 compatibility with Windows 7 64 bit

My laptop's operating system is being changed from Windows XP to Windows 7.  Prior to performing this upgrade, I confirmed with adobe that Captivate 5.5 is compatible with windows 7.  My tech is now having issues getting it installed.  It shows that it is installed, however it does not show up as a program available for me to choose.  Is 5.5 really compatible with Windows 7, and if so does it only work with 32 bit or does it work with both 32 and 64?  If it works with both, are there any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I can personally verify that Captivate 5.5 DOES definitely work on Windows 7 64bit OS.  I have it on my own PC laptop, and I have a colleague with it on his 64bit laptop as well.  I had it on a 32 bit desktop Win7 PC at my last client.
So your issue is probably due to something else.
My suggestion would be to ask your Tech person whether they have followed the recommended installation instructions for Captivate on Win7.
Setting up your computer to work with Captivate | Infosemantics Pty Ltd
It's quite possible that he's trying to install it with default locations pointing to virtual server folders or using roaming profiles etc, which Captivate does not like.  You also need to launch Captivate with Run As Administrator privileges on Win7.

Is adobe photoshop CS2 compatable with windows 8?

I have removed and re-installed CS2 twice now and still get the same library application error.
DO NOT INSTALL WINDOWS 8 ONTO YOUR COMPUTER IF YOU WANT TO KEEP CS2!
Telling us to spend more money to upgrade our software to meet OS does not show trust to the users. CS2 should be able to work with new OS systems and if not users should be allowed to update their current program for free to be able to use it on the new OS.

  • SQL Server Express compatibility with Windows 8.1 - Which version(s) are compatible?

We have purchased a new computer that has Win 8.1 Pro. We are migrating an application from a Win 7 Pro machine we are currently successfully using (the vendor migrates it for us) and they have said that the application will require the installation of SQL
Server 2008 Express (which we do have on our Win 7 machine).
In looking at the requirements for SQL Server 2008 Express (on the download page for it), it does not mention it being compatible with Win 8.1
In addition, Installation Instructions  says that it requires:
     Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 SP1
     Windows Installer 4.5.
     Windows PowerShell 1.0
I see that 3.5 is already listed as a program feature of Win8.1 and I've enabled it. Do I need to install SP1? I downloaded it, and launched it, and nothing happened.
I also looked at the Windows Installer 4.5 download page, and it's not clear if that is compatible with 8.1. Do I need to download and install it?
Power Shell 2.0 is already installed. I assume that will be backwards compatible with PowerShell 1.0; is that correct?
I saw another question about SQL Server Express Compatibility with Win 8.1 (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/038ec00e-4fc1-41ba-9fdc-21c022aad67e/action?threadDisplayName=sql-server-express-compatibility-with-windows-81) and the response
said that SQL Server Express 2012 will work, but the link contained in the answer led to a page for SQL Server Express 2014.
My vendor has told me that SQL SERver Express 2012 will be backwards compatible with their product. But they said that I would first have to install 2008 first. Is that correct for Win 8.1?
    So, the ultimate questions are:
    1. What is the link for Sql Server 2012 Express for Win 8.1?
    2. Will the SQL Server 2012 Express download require prior install of the 2008 version
    3. What other component requirements are required for SQL Server 2012 Express, and how can I determine if they have already been installed. (This is a brand new computer with a clean Win8.1 Install).
    4. Finally, can we use the 2014 version of SQL Server Express for Win 8.1? If so, questions 1, 2 and 3 apply, too.
Thanks for your help on this!! HIGH ANXIETY.

    Hello,
The following article provides which updates are required to make SQL Server versions compatible with Windows 8 or 8.1:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2681562/en-us

    article:
    http://www.sqlcoffee.com/SQLServer2012_0008.htm
    2. No.
    3. Download and install .NET Framework 4.0 and enable .NET Framework 3.5. For more information:

    4. Yes, you can use SQL Server 2014 with Windows 8.1. Please refer to the Support article provided above.
    Hope this helps.

  • Compatibility with Windows Mobile 5.0 ?

Does anyone know if Flex apps would work on PocketPCs, ie.
    using Windows Mobile 5.0?
    I haven't purchased one yet, so I can't test.
At this link, Adobe identifies Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/
This page identifies FlashLite 2.1 which seems to be based on
    Flash Player 7
but includes Action Script 2.0 support:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashlite/
Does anyone know for sure? We'd like to do some monitoring

in Flex & make it available on the go for people, but
don't want to go buy the phones
until we know it is possible.

If so, then Flash is installed fine. Note, though, that Flash

  • What do I do when I get a message that adobe reader 7 is not compatable with windows 8?

What do I need to do when a website sends me a message that my adobe reader 7 is not compatable with windows 8?

Are you using Adobe Reader 7 on Windows 8? If so, the message is probably correct and you should download the latest version of Adobe Reader (which is XI).
If you already have Reader XI, maybe you can give us some more details about where you are at and what you are doing when you get this message.

  • Is Robohelp 5x compatable with Windows 7

Is Robohelp 5x compatable with Windows 7 - what will happen if I upgrade to Windows 7

    Hiya
It is my understanding that Windows 7 Home Premium does not offer the ability to right-click an application shortcut and choose XP Compatibility mode within the shortcut properties as seen here:
I believe that in order to see that tab, you must upgrade to Professional or Ultimate. That's why I chose to upgrade to Ultimate initially after obtaining the new PC.
Having said that, there is another feature that is a free download from Microsoft for users of Professional or Ultimate. That's the Windows Virtual machine. You may find that even though you choose Compatibility mode in the shortcut properties, it still doesn't allow your software to work properly. So you download and install the Windows Virtual Machine, then you download and install the Windows XP Mode. What this does is creates a virtual environment of Windows XP that opens and runs inside your Windows 7. Then you install the software into the environment and it should work.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Is Firefox 15 compatible with Windows 7- my computer god says"Firefox won't work in Windows 7" so no windows 7 unless I'm willing to switch to IE?

Looking for information I can (possibly) understand and she (person selling me my next computer with Windows 7), might be willing to look into & re-think. I prefer (most of the time) FF to IE. Although I'm willing, if necessary, to switch from Eudora (my choice) to Outlook (she says both are not compatible with Windows 7), I'm less willing to do so with FF. (Although, more & more with so increasingly many FF 'upgrades', I have become less enamored with FF.)
Thanks for any help, info and, please, if you do respond, pretend that for a used to be smart person, I'm ... a computer illiterate, moron, OK, OK, not that bright! Thanks Phyllis

Hi Phyllis! Just to set things clear, Firefox IS compatible with Windows 7.
    Firefox supports Windows 7
    * http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/15.0/system-requirements/
I don't use Eudora so I can't say anything about it. But just by searching around, the reason why Eudora has difficulty running in Windows 7 is that it saves files to a location that is protected in Windows 7. That means no programs may automatically save files there. There are probably some workarounds but I don't know enough about them to comment about here.
The main point is that the Firefox browser runs perfectly fine in Windows 7. I'm typing this on Firefox 15.0.1 in Windows 7 64-bit right now too.
    Hope this helps!
