Is Firefox available for use in a Citrix environmet, what are the licensing implications

Licensing is easy: the [http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/2.0/ Mozilla Public License] is free and open. Naturally, it contains the customary disclaimers and limitations.
Implementation might be more of a challenge because Firefox presumes certain things about the system.
I suggest joining the Enterprise Working Group Mailing List to connect with an audience of corporate implementers on this issue and search the list archives.

  • Are there any relay modules available for Compact Fieldpoint, and if not, what are the alternatives?

I'm speccing out a Fieldpoint system, and although Compact Fieldpoint has many features that make it superior to Fieldpoint for my application, I'm wondering why no relay modules seem to be available for it.
The cFP-RLY-420 is referenced in the manual it shares with the FP-RLY-420, and a search in the product section comes up with several pages that aren't viewable, but it doesn't seem to be currently available.
More importantly, if there are no relay modules available at this time, what would be the alternatives for switching? A small Opto22 backplane wired to a DO module perhaps?

    Mako,
Several of the more specialized modules in FieldPoint have not yet been released in Compact FieldPoint. However, National Instruments is presently working on releasing most of these traditional FieldPoint module in the future.
Depending on your application, either the cFP-DO-401 or cFP-DO-410 (which are both providing sourcing outputs) may be a possible alternative. The DO-401 module can sustain up to 2 A per channel, 8 A squared per module whereas the DO-410 can sustain up to 1 A per channel. Please note that these modules only handle low voltage DC.

  • Exporting photos for UHDTV or Native 4K TV, what are the best settings ? (File: Quality File: Color Space, Image Sizing and resolution)   Or in other words; How can I get the smallest files but keep good quality for display on new UHDTV

Exporting photos for UHDTV or Native 4K TV, what are the best settings ? (File: Quality File: Color Space, Image Sizing and resolution)   Or in other words; How can I get the smallest files but keep good quality for display on new UHDTV

You're welcome, and thank you for the reply.
    2) Yesterday I made the subclips with the In-Out Points and Command-U, the benefit is that I've seen the clip before naming it. Now I'm using markers, it's benefit is that I can write comment and (the later) clip name at once, the drawback is that I have to view to the next shot's beginning before knowing what the shot contains.
But now I found out that I can reconnect my clips independently to the format I converted the master clip to. I reconnected the media to the original AVI file and it worked, too! The more I work with, the more I'm sold on it... - although it doesn't seem to be able to read and use the date information within the DV AVI.
    1) Ok, I tried something similar within FCE. Just worked, but the file size still remains. Which codec settings should I use? Is the export to DV in MOV with a quality of 75% acceptable for both file size and quality? Or would be encoding as H.264 with best quality an option for archiving, knowing that I have to convert it back to DV if I (maybe) wan't to use it for editing later? Or anything else?
    Thank's in advance again,
    André

  • Anyone tried using Billings 3 in Yosemite - what are the issues, if any?

Anyone tried using Billings 3 in Yosemite - what are the issues, if any?

    Hi
Logic Express is essentially the same as Logic Pro, minus a few Instrument plugins and a few Effects Plugins (there are some other slight differences, but nothing that is likely to cause any significant problems).
You/she will be able to open Pro projects in Express fine, but if any of the 'missing plugins' have been used these will not be found in Express. For Instruments plugs, this might cause a problem because the tracks will not play unless a replacement plugin is selected. For Effects plugins, you might be missing some, but the project should play OK, just sound a little different.
Should these issues become a problem, one solution would be to use the "Bounce in Place" feature to print these tracks as audio temporarily in Logic Pro.
Logic Studio (Logic Pro) comes with all the Jampacks, Express does not. If any loops from the Jampacks have been used, you should be OK as long as the project has been "Saved with Assets.. including Imported Audio". This will copy any loops used into the project folder.
    In short, nothing insurmountable.

  • What are the license conditions for the customer ?

What is the license agreement for the customer to use Beehiveonline ? Is it similar as the OUM Customer model copied below? thanks Francis
OUM Customer Program: The OUM Customer Program allows customers to obtain copies of the method for their internal use by contracting with Oracle for a services engagement of two weeks or longer. Customers who have a signed contract with Oracle and meet the engagement qualification criteria as published on Customer tab of the OUM Website, are permitted to download the current release of OUM for their perpetual use. They may obtain subsequent releases published during a renewable, three-year access period.

    Hi,
We do not have a license requirement for BeehiveOnline as this is a service provided by oracle for Oracle customers, partners etc. to allow them to work more efficiently with Oracle. It is not a system that the customer can control as the groups are maintained by the Oracle, contact.
We rely on the normal terms and conditions that all users sign up to when they create an oracle.com website account.
So in short - it is a free-to-use service licensed under the same agreement as the normal oracle.com websites acount.

  • Adobe Flash for Safari on iPad Mini? What are the alternatives?

Whhy doesn't Safari on my Mini use Adobe Flashplayer?
    Thanks!

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."

  • What are the performance implications moving apps using cloud drive to Azure File Services?

I run a number of cloud services with 5 or more nodes in using cloud drives. Cloud drive is scheduled to be deprecated in 2015. So I am thinking of replacing the cloud drive with Azure Files service.
For each cloud service I am using one storage account to create all the the VHD/cloud drives. Some people at the time when cloud drive first appeared, told me that to get better performance, I should create only one VHD/Cloud Drive
under only one storage account. For example, if I have five instances under a worker role then I should create 5 storage accounts and create one VHD/Cloud Drive under each storage account to be used by each node. I didn't follow that route because I was satisfied
with the performance of the apps under cloud services having all VHD/Cloud Drives under one storage account.
My question is, if I replace cloud drive with Azure file services, will my apps perform well having all shares under one storage account or create one storage account for each share?
    Thanks,
    @nazik_huq

    Thanks Obama for replying.
Here is the comment from @jaiharidas of MSFT if anyone's interested:
@Naziq, It is better to have multiple shares under single storage account and there is no perf implications. However, please ensure that your ingress/egress and request/sec is within
the limits of a single storage account (seemsdn.microsoft.com/.../dn249410.aspx)
and use multiple storage accounts if you need to scale beyond the limits.

  • What are the licensing terms for Creative Cloud Market Assets?

Hi, can anyone enlighten me on the licensing terms for Creative Cloud Market Assets? I have seen this question asked in the forum before, but as yet there's been no answer (or no helpful answer).
For example, although royalty free, does the licence exclude items for resale? For example:
    • Can a CC Market pattern be used on a mug for resale?
    • Can a CC Market pattern be used as an allover print on accessories? ie a children's bag
    Thanks for the help.

  • Garage Band for ISO vs. Mac Air - what are the differences?

My husband and I are trying to decide whether to purchase an Ipad 2 or a Mac Air for our daughter who wants Garage Band.   She's a fairly good pianist and likes to compose.   Money is an issue - so we are wondering if Garage Band on the IPAD 2 has the same functionality as on a MAC Book Air.

Though they share the same name and general screen appearance, there are differences in functionality and connectivity.
The big difference is the iOS (iPad, iPod Touch & iPhone version) has a touch sensitive screen with what are called Smart Instruments that go a fair way to meeting the needs of the creative musician. A Midi controller keyboard ( ie M-Audio 49key) can be attached via a powered USB hub and a Camera Connector Kit. This gives a pianist a familiar playing interface. Kids absolutely love GarageBand on both the mac and iOS platforms and like ease of use.
Listen to this example of what can be achieved with just the iPad:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQSdqQKEsXs
That said, the MacBook Air and GB has more instruments, loops and edting funtionality.
    Hope that helps.

  • I deleted the applications on my 2nd gen iPod accidentally, now I can't download anything because everything's updated and the newest software isn't available for 2nd gen iPods?! What's the point of buying apple devices then?? They're meant to last long.

So basically, am I now suppose to throw the device away??
I was really disappointed in Apple when I found out that 1st and 2nd generation iPods cannot be updated. So my device is pointless now?
Or is there any kind of solution?

Many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.
Your iPod still plays music, gets and sends mail, surfs the web and does other things. to. It is old by electronics standards.

  • What are the better load/performance testing tools available for Flex Application with BlazeDS RO?

In my application is designed with Flex3, ActionScript3, BlazeDS Remote Objects.
Just i tried with OPENSTA but i cant do the dynamic parameterization in their generated scripts because the response of the calls is binary values and also we cant get the response using with SCL language.
While testing with OPENSTA with HttpService, i can do the dynamic parameterization and got the response.
can give the information about the below questions
whether we can do dynamic parameterization with OPENSTA for Flex Remote objects?
and  what are the better load/performance tools available for Flex Remote Objects?

Your approach is fine, depending on how many and what type of CFCs you are talking about. If they are "singletons" - that is, only one instance of each CFC is needed to be in memory and can be reused/shared from multiple parts of your application - caching them in the application scope is common.  Just make sure they are thread safe ("var" or local.* all your method variables).
You might consider taking advantage of a dependency injection framework, such as DI/1 (part of the FW/1 MVC framework), ColdSpring, or WireBox (a module of the ColdBox platform that can be used independently).  They have mechanisms for handling and caching singletons.  Then you wouldn't have to go to the application scope to get your CFC instances.
