Is flash 4 builder going to be free like flex 3 builder?

plz clarify if flash 4 builder is free (not beta, but release version).
if not, what free tool is proposed to be available to build flex 4.0 apps? thx.

Flash Builder 4 will be a paid for product (just like Flex Builder 3). We do offer free educational licenses though. The Flex 4 SDK will remain free and open source.

A message today in another thread points to this one, which I'd not read in a while. Since I was one of the first to reply to the question on pricing, as I review some of the other comments (which I just had not kept up on since my reply a few weeks ago), I felt I should step in with a clarification.
It seems some folks may think I work for or am representing Adobe, when I said "there have been no discussions" of price. I don't work for Adobe, and I meant simply that there have been no *public* discussions.
What concerns me is that I see now that Daniel said (in the next note), "So what I gather from your response is that we can expect to have to pay for the builder." Well, no, I didn't mean that at all. :-)
More dismaying, though, is that I see gms46 said just a couple notes later, "Really, you guys built a product without talking about pricing.... interesting." No, I'm not one of the "you guys". :-)
(Now, I've always lamented that these forums don't have any sort of threaded view, so we can't know exactly who s/he was replying to, but I see no other message that preced that would suggest he was replying to anything except my note.)
So again, I do not work for Adobe. I'm just another CF developer, and I was simply answering the question asked: there had not (and as far as I know still have not yet) been any public discussions of pricing for us.

I have reset the phone, full firmware restore, even downgraded back from firmware 4.2.1 to .3.1.3 official by using dfu mode and still doesnt fix.
(i correctly got out of dfu mode after the downgrade)
i can enter dfu mode and recovery, and update through itunes with no problem, but it doesnt fix the problem,
i have searched and found no answer to this problem, every option availible to try that i know of i have tried and failed. i dont care about preserving my content i just want a fix. i have a good understanding how to operate software on a computer and shouldnt be too confused by any advice given, so plz even if the answer is very complex i wish to try anything, please help me to get my iphone working.

I have even downloaded it to a separate folder and ran the install with IE shut down completely. And Shockwave in ENABLED but in 32 bit .I have been trying to get this to work for about 3 weeks now. Flash Player is a browser add-on, not an executable program.
If you need to open a local SWF file you will need the standalone player (Projector) from http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Note that the download is the player, not an installer, so you will need to make the file association manually.

Online e-learning. Can I use just flash to build the architecture?

I have over 100 students and 2000 more potential ones in schools that we give English classes to here in Spain.
I am using only flash to build my games and interactive material. Once you finish one activity I load another movie into _level0 etc...
I generally load movies and not attach.
My question is:
1. Will I have problems if there are 100 kids connected at the same time - or is that just a bandwidth issue with the my ISP? ie: 100 kids playing my 1MB movie is 100mb at the same time.
2. I want to use highscores etc... I will use an sql database to keep hold of the records and fscommand with flash to get the variabes out.
I will use dreamveaver to build the apps and registration of new users etc...
Is this OK on its own. (Somebody mentioned Joomla etc... but I don't need that if I program it in with the system above.

I have unlimited web usage & data plan, so is 3G going to be free if I turn it on? I've been having my iPhone on "Edge" ( the e icon on top of my iphone instead of 3G)

With an unlimited usage data plan, 3G would be free ... for data.
But note this discussion has nothing at all to do with telephone use, only data use.
And we're only talking about using data from your cellular carrier, not roaming.

Code doesn't behave the way it should when i create an ipa . However , if i flash the build directly from xcode it works fine ?

I am creating an ipad application . When the app launches i am trying to get some data from server , and show it at the beggining .
It works perfectly fine when i run the app in simulator , and flash the build in ipad from Xcode .
However ,as soon i create an ipa file , install in ipad it doesnt works . Sometimes , it shows network issue , other times its able to give me the data but as soon i convert the data to JSON objet with NSJSONSerialization class , it returns nill .
Any clue on this abrupt issue ??

Are you loading the data in didFinishLaunching ??
If yes then that is the problem.
ios defines a specific time for app launch, if your app takes more than the allowed time, ios will crash the app.
Possible solution might be move the webservice call from there to some other suitable place, this will ensure that you app will launch regardless of any network issue, which can be handled later.

you are only able to use up to 3 icloud accounts on an ios device.
your only option is to use one of the accounts you already have.

That has the fixed Flash 13.0.0.201 plug-in and the debugger. in it. You just need to run the regular installer from that zip file.

I finaly was able to upgrade to an entire Suite of Adobe products including Flash with the intention of doing some Flash work, but now the client is not wanting ANY flash work because it wont work on a phone!
What about all the Flash website alredy up and running? Will new sites have to be created just for the F*ing iphone?

Do you happen to have the usable specs. for these devices? I would assume that the manual, or maybe a product Web site would have such. That will help us determine the best settings to use.

Nothing Responding eg. external flash drives, Build-in DVD slot...

Hey everyone,
How come that my late 2006 iMac doesn't recognize and external flash drives and not even the CD I inserted into the DVD slot.
Usually, the CD or the external flash drive would appear on the desktop. I also found out that the flash drive is found under Disk Utility but says:
S.M.A.R.T. Status :
Not Supported
Does this have anything to do with the problem???
I need to use the mac with my flashdrive fast so does anyone know any answers to the problem?

Hard to tell what is going on, it seems like you haven't done any resets or trouble shooting so I'd start by doing both a iMac SMC and PRAM reset . Then post back with more details such as exactly what do you mean it won't recognize external flash drives or CDs. Remember we aren't there to see what you do so you need to paint a clear picture when describing your problem.

We are having issues where creation of Project neve completes from Form and HTML page.
On taking tkprofile we found that there is a Insert Into PJI_XBS_DENORM table which is going to Latch free.
Starngely this is working on all other instances except production.
Let me know if anyone has faced this issue.
