Is Flash Player 14 ActiveX Installed on 16 JUN 14 really 6MB?
Flash Player 14.0.0.125 has just installed OK but W7's Programs and Features says Flash Player 14 ActiveX Installed on 16/06/2014 is 6MB. My notes record it has been saying this since 12 APR 13. Surely some mistake?
To make sure you do not get Google Chrome and or McAfee Security Scan as part of the Adobe Flash download if you forget to uncheck, try this link instead for the latest Flash version.

Flash Player 10 ActiveX, installed perfectly on FireFox but does not want to install on IE8Hi, You might want to review the Troubleshooting Guide as it has been updated and a lot of new information is now included. If you prefer you can use the Manual Installer for IE which you'll see there. A lot of the questions that I would ask are listed also.

Flash Player 11 ActiveX install fails -- Error 1722
Hi,
I am unable to install Flash Player 11.5.502.149 on Windows 8. The error reported is:
Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action NewCustomAction1, location: C:\Users\Nick\AppData\Local\Temp\InstallAX_11_5_502_146.exe, command: -install -msi
We have tried running uninstall_flash_player.exe to try and clean things up but this still fails. Is there a known problem with installing Flash player ActiveX on Windows 8? Flash player Plugin works fine just the ActiveX version which does not.
Thanks,
NickAdobe http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html states
“Note: Release builds of Flash Player for Windows 8 are a part of the Windows 8 update”
So we cannot push flash directly, rather it is included in WSUS.
This is nice, but we have an application that crashes in IE 11 unless we use the Flash install from the Adobe site.
We have contacted the application vendor, but systems are down now. -
I have encountered the following errors during installation, My OS is Window 8.1 pro. .
What should I do, thanks

When you uninstall and reinstall, it is always worth running the Cleaner Tool in between.

Error code 1605 when installing Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX 11.9.900.152
Hi there everyone, this is my first post over here.
I have looked everywhere and can't seem to find a 1605 error code linked with Adobe Flash.
I'm working on a project to fix Adobe Flash installation failures. The current error i'm stuck on is 1605
The installs and uninstalls are already packaged, i only have around 5 failures so far, we have many successful installtions so I know the package isn't corrupt.
Here is the installation log file

I see a differen't product code getting removed on other machines and that's prob because they had a different version of flash installed.
I was however able to install adobe flash versions 11.8 and below successfully, it's just versions 11.9 that fail.
Any advice will be greately appreciated, thanksHey the cleanup method didn't work.
However, i could get the latest flash installed without the package, for some reason it keeps failing with the package. Version 11.8 and under installs with the package.
I know the package works because we've used the same package for thousands of other machines and they've worked.
This is an interestin issue -
I recently installed Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX--11.4.402.265 and when I open My Mozilla Firefox browser I keep getting this message flashing on my screen: 'Adobe Flash Player 11.4 r402 has stopped working" and then "Windows is checking for a solution"
This flashes a few times then usually stops but not always.
It happens every time I try to open a new page.
I fixed this problem by uninstalling Adobe Flash Player 11 and installing Adobe Flash Player 10.3. However, now my IE browser wants me to install Adobe Flash Player 11 again. Although I don't use my IE browser frequently, I DO have to use it sometimes. Will there be an update to Firefox 15.0 to correct this issue?Tylerdowner:
Thank you, your solution worked great.

Installed Flash Player 12 ActiveX not recognised - Windows 7 & Internet Explorer
On 2/5/2014 I downloaded Adobe Flash Player 12 ActiveX for the 4th time and yet the system is giving me an error message saying "You're mission the video converter tool." I have a HP Windows 7 system. Back in October, I was able to use the Internet Explorer, go to the website CWtvnow and watch The Vampire Diaries online. But, my system went thru an automated system update on its own and since then I have not been able to watch videos on the internet using Internet Exployer. I'm tired on downloading the Adobe software and still not working. I am not a PC expert, but where ever drive the software is being downloaded to, its not functioning. HELP

I was told I need to get the newest Version after (Flash Player 10 ActiveX.exe), that is the one I have now. Can you help me get the version that is newer? Sincerely, Lillie Yates PS. my E-mail is: [email protected]
Hi,
Please open up your browser and click on the below link:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
The Version Information box shows the version installed on your browser. Please compare this version with the version which mentioned below in the table. If both are mismatching, please uninstall the flash player. Click on the same above link which will help you to install the latest version of flash player.

Flash player failure to install
I am having trouble downloading and installing the latest version of adobe flash player onto my laptop that contains internet explorer 10 and windows 7...I keep getting an error message to close internet explorer and I do this (along with some other suspected programs) courtesy of the task manager. I appear to be getting the job done but when I look for the flash player , it's not there...HELP!!.... FXK. I also followed the advice of downloading and installing the Active X from the mentioned website and I followed instructions accordingly. The installation appeared to be completed but it's still not on my computer. HELP!! When I say it's "still not on my computer" I mean to say that there is no sign of it anywhere on the hard drive (no icons, no words, nothing) And when I go to a site that requires use of Adobe Flash player I'm told to download it and install it. I already did that. Frank
You WON'T see Flash Player in programs, or documents, or anywhere because it's a "plugin" for IE (or Firefox) and NOT a program.
Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking the following link: Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer) and selecting "Save target as".
Save it to your Downloads folder - DO NOT run it yet.
Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything else, go to your Downloads folder and run the installer.
If IE still gives you trouble, see: Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer and ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer to be sure it's enabled and ActiveX isn't blocking content. -

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player will not install thinks it is already installed
Win 7 64bit
I can not open a PDF in the latest reader. It tells me flash needs to be installed. I go to the adobe site and flash player will not install stating it is already installed. The active x widget says not player is installed. It is not listed in managed add ons and is not listed in installed programs.
How can I install the program? Some PDFs (with Rich Media Content) require the Flash Player plugin (NPAPI) to be installed.
I do not quite understand what you have installed, and what not. I recommend that you uninstall Flash Player completely using the uninstaller from http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
then download and run both installers from
Flash Player for Internet Exporer - ActiveX
Flash Player for Firefox - NPAPI -
Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin
Windows 7 64bit / IE8
I uninstalled Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX and Adobe Flash Player Plugin thinking they would be reinstalled together when I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
Now I only see the entry for Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX 10.2.159.1 listed in - Uninstall or change a program.
I was wondering how to get the Adobe Flash Player Plugin?
Thanks. These are the files listed in the folder.
Flash10p.ocx
FlashInstall.log
FlashUtil10p_ActiveX.dll
FlashUtil10p_AciveX.exe
I originally uninstalled Flash Player 10 ActiveX and the Flash Player Plugin
thinking they would both be reinstalled with the newer version. When I installed
the newer version of Flash Player 10 ActiveX I noticed the Plugin was missing
and wondered what happened to it. I didn't know it needed to be downloaded
seperatly and I also didn't know what it was for exactly. As it is right now
everything works and since I'm not using any other browser - downloading
the Plugin isn't required. At least now I have an idea what the Plugin it was
intended for and know it's not needed.
Thank You.
