Cannot send any iMessages....

Well, Meg ..... if you have an iPhone & you've tried to send an iMessage, you'd need no more info than what I already gave.
No, I wouldn't know as I was iMessaging with a couple of friends shortly before I replied to you and then again just after. It continues to work fine for me. In fact, I rarely have a problem with it.
I already figured out that "iMessages don't go through". Are you getting an error message? If so, what? Do you have a good data connection? Does the person you're trying to message have a good data connection? What troubleshooting steps have you already take?

First, make sure that all your devices are using the same Apple ID in iMessages including your Mac.  Second, your messages that you've already started on your devices will not show up on your Mac - only ones that you start from now on will show up.  Third, if you're still not syncing accross all devices, make sure you read the directions on the first page of this thread.  It should work after performing those steps.  Good luck!

  • Is AppleCare  going to be available for the iPhone 5?

Title basically explains everything. I contacted Bestbuy to see if they knew but all they said is they know they're going to offer their warranty which is almost $300 for 2 years. So, I was wondering if AppleCare+ was going to be available for the iPhone 5 at the price it was offered for the 4S? ($100 for lifetime) Or would it be more?
    Thanks for any info.

You can purchase such for the iPhone. Read here:
    AppleCare+ for iPhone
Get service and support from the people who know your iPhone best.
Every iPhone comes with one year of hardware repair coverage and 90 days of telephone technical support. AppleCare+ for iPhone extends repair coverage and technical support to two years from the original purchase date of your iPhone and adds coverage for up to two incidents of accidental damage from handling, each subject to a $49 service fee plus applicable tax.1
With AppleCare+ for iPhone, Apple experts can help troubleshoot issues over the phone or at an Apple Retail Store. They’ll answer questions about iOS, Apple iPhone apps such as Mail, iMessage, and Calendar, and help you solve interconnectivity issues between your iPhone and Mac or PC. And if your iPhone needs service under the plan, Apple technical support representatives can even set up a repair during the same call.
AppleCare+ must be purchased together with your new iPhone, and you'll be automatically registered in the plan.

If you are in the UK:
Please upgrade your plan to Web n Walk plus. One of our users on T-Mobile UK had this to report back to us:
T-Mobile UK are in fact port blocking to ensure fair usage on their base Web and Walk Plan. I have upgraded to Web and Walk Plus and as a result the port blocks are lifted and I get a higher data allowance!
We were also recently contacted by T-Mobile UK, who stated the following:
Any smart phone (iphone, android etc) that is bought directly from T-Mobile should be automatically provisioned with Web n Walk plus, if customers have bought a handset sim free then they will need to call customer services and get this added. It is free of charge for most price plans (including new plans) but some older plans will generate a charge of £5pm for this.

In a roaming network, your "main" router is the device that would require port mapping/forwarding to be configured in order to access the IP camera from the Internet. This router is also the one that would be provide the private IP address for the camera which you will want to be a static one.
So as you described your network, the IP cameras should be getting an IP address or you assigned it a static one and this is the address that you would enter in the Private IP address (or equivalent depending on the router used) field when setting up port mapping.
If you are not able to access this camera from the local network, then this should be troubleshot first.

You can buy a factory unlocked on direct from Apple sim free, make sure you get the right one and not just a contract free one.  I am sure  one of our US members will be able to give you the price.

  • What's going on with iMessage

What's going on with iMessage it won't activate and when I tried logging in I got an email saying I was setting up a new phone

    Again:
"New phone" means that you have not used it to log into iMessage yet.
    Did you reboot as suggested?

  • With imessage on the ipod touch can I use my own cellphone number?

with imessage on the ipod touch can i use my own cellphone number

No. You have to use an email address. You can use your Apple ID email address and you can also add other email addresses. To add go to Settings>Messages and add the email address to the the Receive At location.

  • IMessage on the iPhone 6 doesn't allow me to sign in with my current email

    Hey guys,
So here's the problem - I can send and receive texts/iMessages on my iPhone 6. I cannot, however, hook up my macbook pro to the same account to use the messaging service with, as Apple has said would be possible (answer texts on my macbook pro via the Messages app).
I'm trying to add my AppleID/iCloud user account (email and pw are now the same, after all my troubleshooting to make things easier) on my iPhone in Settings->Messages->Send & Receive->Add An Email. All I have that shows up is my phone number, but when I tap "Add An Email," one screen pops up for a split second (picture 1) with my current email address, as if it'll let me log in, and then it immediately disappears- followed by a pop up box which only allows me to log in with my old email address. How do I get the pop up box to either show my current email address or not pop up in the first place, so I can log in? (I don't know how I got the screengrab for picture 1.. it disappears in less than a second.)
Again, I can message/text on my phone perfectly well, but I cannot connect it to my Messages app on my macbook pro, in order to answer people's messages from there. I've tried logging in and out of all the various services and switching the email account back to my old one (which worked for iMessage, but then I couldn't use the App Store with that old email address- so choosing the lesser of two evils, I reverted to my current email address and the problem at hand returned).
Now I've called Apple support and I'm waiting on them to call me back with a security code they may or may not have, which they apparently sent out to some users to let them use iMessage. I'm supposed to somehow use this code to get this all working...if they have the code. Which they, themselves sent me. Which is apparently more secure than a fingerprint.
I'm having my doubts about them, so I'm looking here for help.
Hope you guys could follow that and thanks in advance...

Actually, I was very fortunate to have had this issue resolved. I restarted my computer and tried again and this time, for some reason, Adobe accepted my credentials and allowed me to sign in.
