But I use the Crucial System Scanner.

Hi:
There are some errors on both the service manual and the product specs page.
As you saw the product specs page states that the maximum memory is 4 GB.
That is incorrect.
Chapter 1, page 1 of the service manual, link below states the maximum memory is 8 GB.
However on page, 2, they only list memory configurations up to 2 x 2 GB.
That is incomplete.
You could also install a 4 GB + 2 GB chip for 6 GB and a 4 GB + 4 GB for 8 GB.
So, Crucial is correct and the service manual is correct--the service manual being incomplete.

i have the macbook pro 13" retina display. Can I upgrade my 8gb ram to 16gb? my processor is 2.5Ghz intel core i5
To save space on the computer, Apple has decided to solder the memory onto the logic board on the MacBook Pro with Retina display and the MacBook Air, and that's why you can't add more memory after buying the Mac. This only applies to these computers, not for the other ones

Can I install an 8Gb Ram Module on a 2010 Imac?
Acording to apple support iMac (Mid 2010): Memory specifications - Apple Support, "You can use RAM module sizes of 2 GB or 4 GB in each slot", but clearly is more cost efficient to be able to install an 8Gb and a 4Gb, as the iMac already comes with two 2Gb modules, the iMac only takes 4 cards and it has a max RAM memory capacity of 16Gb.
Can I install a 8Gb?

Cannot open iPhoto. It's on the toolbar, but will not open. I can hold the mouse over the icon and hold the mouse button down and iPhoto will open to a thumbnail photo, but if I click anywhere on the page, iPhoto closes. iPhoto shows open on top of page, but practically all selectable items are gray.
It sounds like the window might have slipped down below the Dock or similar. Try change your screen resolution and (SystemPreferneces -> Displays) and that should force it back into reach. The return the resolution to whatever it was.

How to limit the number of items that a list control can hold?
Hi,
I am using a Flex3 List control for one of my projects.
I add drag & drop functionality to it, so that i can drag & drop elements from one control to another.
How to limit the number of items that a list control can hold / can be dropped in a list control ?
- Sen.1. Listen for the dragdrop event on the control you are dragging onto.
2. check the length of the items in the dataprovider - if it exceeds your maximum override the default drop action with e.preventDefault(); (assuming you used e for the event on the handler).

Just wanted to know whether the huge data is the problem.What do you think? How long does your code typically need to wait for the data to leave the magnetic platter of the harddisk, travel across wires and into the memory buffer of your application - for a single row?
Now multiply that waiting for I/O time with a million - for a million rows. Or by a billion, for a billion rows.
Is "+huge data+" a problem? Not really - it simple needs more work to get that amount of data from disk. More work means slower performance. It is that simple.
Which is why the row-by-row approach used by many developers is wrong. You do not pull a million rows from disk and process it in PL/SQL or Java or .Net. Heck, you do not even pull 10,000 rows like that.
The correct approach is to think data sets and use SQL to process that for you - and only return the bare minimum of data to the application layer. Maximize SQL. Minimize PL/SQL and Java and .Net. -
What's the maximum size of data a coherence cluster can hold?
What's the maximum size of data a coherence cluster can hold before it starts noticing a degradation in performance?
Assume a partitioned topology is used with only one backup for each partition.Hi,
Coherence partitioned cache is designed for linear scalability and it does it quite well. I don't see any reasons of performance degrations with increase in data size given, you have enough cores and memory for processing the requests and managing the data.

What's the maximum size a varchar2 variable can hold for and NDS Stmnt?
What's the maximum size a varchar2 variable can hold for and NDS Statement? I read that NDS is good for doing EXECUTE IMMEDIATE on statements that aren't too big. The 10g PL/SQL manual recommends using DBMS_SQL for statements that are too large, but it never gave a limit for what too large was. Does anyone know offhand?
The limit is the same as the length of varchar2 variable within PL/SQL - that is varchar2(32767).It's not documented, but intermediate concatenation result can hold up to (64k-1) :
Connected to:
Oracle9i Enterprise Edition Release 9.2.0.8.0 - Production
declare
part1 varchar2(32767) := rpad('begin null;', 32767);
part2 varchar2(32767) := lpad('end;', 32767);
begin
dbms_output.put_line(length(part1 || ' ' || /*' ' ||*/ part2));
execute immediate part1 || ' ' || part2;
end;

How to create a structure which can hold a dynamic table as a field in DDIC
Hi ,
I am designing a solution for a problem and have a unique requirement. I need to create a structure which can hold a field where dynamic table data can be stored. Let me illustrate with an example :
My structure ( say Z_output_struc ) will have the fields
Table_name Table_Data
My function module will have a table type of the above structure, so in effect ,my output can have multiple table names and related to each of them, there will be table data of that table name. The issue is how do I configure this in DDIC ?
I tried creating table_data as "Type ref to Data" but was stuck inside the func module when I tried to transfer data to this.
Any pointers as to how to think about this differently ?
Best Regards,
GirishHi Girish,
you start directly from the ref to data. You assign it to a field symbol and cast this to the type of the destination of your select. So you can directly add the reference to the cache:
I hope this example helps a bit (I took a form instead of a function module as it is easier to add here and used an hr table as kna1 is empty on my test system):
REPORT z_rwe_99_dyn_tab_cache.
* type definition
TYPES:
BEGIN OF _s_cache,
table TYPE tabname16,
cache TYPE REF TO data,
END OF _s_cache,
_t_cache TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF _s_cache.
* data declaration
DATA:
lv_table TYPE tabname16,
lv_condition TYPE string,
lt_cache TYPE _t_cache.
* define table and condition
lv_table = 'HRP1000'.
lv_condition = 'plvar = ''01'' and otype = ''S'' and objid = ''50000016'''.
* get the result of a single table into the cache
PERFORM get_dyn_table USING
lv_table
lv_condition
CHANGING
lt_cache.
* form to read a single table
FORM get_dyn_table USING
iv_table TYPE tabname16
iv_condition TYPE string
CHANGING
ct_cache TYPE _t_cache.
FIELD-SYMBOLS:
<lt_table> TYPE ANY TABLE.
DATA:
ls_cache TYPE _s_cache,
lr_data TYPE REF TO data.
CREATE DATA lr_data TYPE STANDARD TABLE OF (iv_table).
ASSIGN lr_data->* TO <lt_table>.
SELECT * FROM (iv_table) INTO TABLE <lt_table>
WHERE
(iv_condition).
ls_cache-table = lv_table.
ls_cache-cache = lr_data.
APPEND ls_cache TO ct_cache.
ENDFORM. "get_dyn_table

Can we create a cursor that can hold records of any table
DECLARE
CURSOR cr_tablenames IS
SELECT tname
FROM tab;
v_tablename tab.tname%TYPE;
BEGIN
OPEN cr_tablenames;
LOOP
FETCH cr_tablenames INTO v_tablename;
EXIT WHEN cr_tablenames%NOTFOUND;
DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('Table: '||v_tablename);
-- HERE, I WANT TO PERFORM SELECT * OPERATION ON
-- EACH TABLE WHOSE NAME COMES INTO v_tablename
-- AND DISPLAY THE RECORDS
END LOOP;
END;
I want to perform SELECT * operation on each table whose name comes into the variable and display the records. How to achieve it? I am clueless.
Can this be achieved by something like... using cursors which can be defined dynamically and which can hold records of any table?
Or, do I need to have some different approach to this problem?
