IS ICLOUD THE ONLY WAY TO SYNC OUTLOOK TO IPHONE?

I am unable to get icloud to work... unexpected error message at stage 4 of 7 of set up...I simply want to synchronise my iPhone contacts with my Toshiba laptop Outlook contacts database and same for my Calanders on Laptop and iPhone (just like I have been doing with my Blackberry - connect via USB and sync)...is this possible??? Or MUST I use iCloud???

Go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and just confirm that you haven't selected a calendar such as the one listed under On My iPhone (if that's listed), and that your have selected your Outlook calendar here as your default. I think you're hitting the iTunes button on your phone expecting it to connect to iTunes on your computer. That's not what its for. The iTunes button on the phone launches the mobile version of the iTunes Music Store, so you can purchase and download music over a wifi connection. Think of it as the AppStore, but with music (and needs to be wifi)
To sync your phone with iTunes you need to use the USB cable that was supplied with the phone, as the poster above has said.

Is iCloud the ONLY Way To Wirelessly Synch?

I used to have a Nokia and wirelessly synched contacts with the push of a button (iSynch). Loved it. When I wanted to transfer a photo or video from my Nokia to my Macbook, or vice-versa, I selected it and sent it via bluetooth now. Loved that too. Didn't have to open any app or push more than one or two butons.
Now I "upgraded" to the iPhone 4s (primarily for 1080P video recording in low-light situations, if anything's better please lemme know). But I see that I have to use iTunes to do almost everything, & iPhoto to import photos & videos.
iTunes synchs over the network, but doesn't looks like iPhoto can import untethered. (Am I wrong?) The process seems way less efficient than other smartphones.
Haven't tried iCloud yet, but I like the idea of manually selecting what gets sent.

When you back up with iCloud the pictures are contained in the back up file. I dont believe you can access them individually in the back up file. Loading the back up on to your iPhone would restore the photos though

Is BAPI the only way to sync with backends?

Enterprise services are webservices. I dont know when SAP is to deliver webservice support, but in the future the Mobile 7.1 middleware will communicate via webservices to the backend.

Videos are not included with the Photo Stream. Photo Stream is for photos only.
There is not a wireless method for importing videos from the iPad's Camera Roll.

As Bob says, any iMap service can do this. GMail can, iCLoud mail can too.
Both of these can be used with Mail on any device.

I have ios 5.1.1. When I sync to iTunes, my purchased apps no longer work. They blink but do not open. The only way I have been able to solve this, is as follows: I delete one of the apps and then re-download and install it. Then, all my apps work.

If using a Mac, use Migration Assistant to move your iTunes library from old computer to new. Afterwards you can sync from your new computer to your iPod.

Hi I'm Zeina Halim. I have an iPad 4 and I forgot its password. So I kept trying over and over again till it said iPad is disabled connect to iTunes. One problem I've never synced my iPad and apple is telling me the only way to reset the password is to erase all data from the iPad. 7 &Vista:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes\iPhone Software Updates
Find and delete any and all .ipsw files on your computer. There should only be one, but delete all that you find. Next, disable ALL firewalls & security software on your computer. Connect your phone, iTunes running & restore from backup. Follow this by syncing your content back to your phone.
This will force iTunes to re-download the .ipsw file, as I suspect yours is corrupt.
