Is iCloud working at all for anybody right now?

For me iCloud: Safari Bookmarks and Notes are not synching across all my devices: iPhone 4, iPad 2, MBP, and iMac. All my devices are up-to-date: iOS 5.01 and Lion. It only works half way. If I add, delete or update a bookmark in one of my iOS devices it replicates OK in the other however, it might sycn with my MBP but not my iMac, In other tests, it will sync to my iMac but not to my MBP. When it does, it puts the added or updated bookmark in the top root level on bookmarks prompting me to manually move the entry and place it into the appropriate folder. If I delete a bookmak though from my iOS it deletes it from the other but not from my MPB or iMac promting me to delete them manually.
Also, Notes is another issue. Without any notice I can have my notes wiped out from all my devices prompting me to restore to the latest one from my TimeMachine. I keep doing this almost daily!
I only have one account as I consolidated all my stuff under my .me account.
This half baked cooked product called iCloud has left me with a very sour and frustrated experience that I'm seriously considering ditching it and going back to MobileMe!

Your me address does not necessarily have to be the same as your ID. If you are receiving messages about your password in regard to your me address that is related to your ID, this may well be an issue with mail only. However you should check System preferences> iCloud, to make sure you are logged into the correct account.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

OK, restart in Safe Mode, this will clear some caches. It's possible one or more is corrupt. To restart in Safe Mode when you hear the start up tone hold down the Shift Key until you see a progress bar. Let it fully boot then restart normally and test.
Also I am assuming you have checked Finder - Preferences - General and see what boxes are checked in "Show these items on desktop." You can also mount an item in Disk Utility, simply highlight it and then look in the File menu for Mount.....

Texting hasn't worked at all for almost 24 hours

Live in Vicksburg, MS and texting hasn't worked on either my phone (Galaxy S3) or my girlfriend;s (iPhone 5) since yesterday. Where do we have on this website to report service issues? Data and phone are working well - just not texting. We are both showing up on "extended service" instead of on Verizon network - but this has never been an issue.
Also, am fairly new to Verizon (little over a month) - but why doesn't Verizon Wireless have chat support like other carriers???

Data and phone work on the phone when in "Extended Network" service. Only texting doesn't work. When I move to Verizon coverage area - everything works well, including text. We have been using these phones for three weeks and texting has worked well in the "Extended Network" area - which is using Cspire's towers, I think. Texting just started not working yesterday and still doesn't work. I tried pulling the SIM card and that didn't make a difference. Kind of at a loss right now. Girlfriend's iPhone 5 is doing the same thing as my Galaxy S III. We are both on a shared account.

ICloud working with Outlook for Mac 2011

For work purposes I use a Mac Air, with Outlook for Mac 2011, and my company's email runs on an Outlook server. I'm not going to have any choice about using Outlook.
I've set up my home calendar (on iMac) and want to use iCloud to synchronise between my various devices.
My iPhone can show both my work calendar and my home calendar. But on the Mac where i am running Outlook for Mac i dont seem to be able to add the second calendar.
Looking at older discussions (2011, 2012) it seems there were ways to use iCloud and synchronise with Outlook on a Windows machine, but not on a Mac using Outlook. Is that still the case or is there a way I can now do this?

Microsoft have still not updated Outlook for Mac to support the cross-platform, industry-standard calendar and contact protocols iCloud (and many other similar services) use.
You won't be able to use iCloud with Outlook for Mac, except for email.

There's nothing to stop you using the Apple calendar and contact apps for your personal iCloud data, and Outlook for your work data though. Or you could just setup your work accounts in the Apple apps, which do support Microsoft Exchange.

Hi, I was happily using Firefox all the time and suddenly when I click on the icon to open it nothing happens and thisn has been going on for 3 days now. I have tried all different ways to open it, but same thing, nothing. I am worried I have lost all my bookmarks now as I hadn't saved them. I also would like to know if they can be recovered at all and also how do I go about getting firefox back and why did it stope working anyway. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Will iCloud work with office for mac

If i'm reading the blurb on the website correctly i can only get to see an Microsoft office word document on iCloud if i email it.
Is this correct.
I want to use Office for Mac but be able to see and edit or finish the document on my iPad and iPhone.
Is this possible with iCloud

There are options out there other than iCloud for
cloud storage and syncing (and also not as limited).
Dropbox is one choice. If working with Windows
computers as well, One Drive is very good option
(especially with Win8).

Apple Loops Utility does not work at all for imported file

I have imported an MP3 into Logic Pro 8, which converts it to an AIFF file, and am trying to configure the project to sync to that tracks tempo. From what I understand, I do this by opening it in the ALU and having it add tempo information to the file.
My problem is that when I open the file in the ALU, and I have version 2.0.1, literally almost NOTHING works. I can hit the play/stop/jump to start buttons and they work. However, the volume control does nothing. Likewise, the Tempo slider as well as the transpose dropdown don't do anything.
On the Transients tab, the Transient Division dropdown and Sensitivity slider are grayed out. Since I've never used this tool before, I would assume that this is how I get the utility to detect the beats in the song. The waveform view just shows the song waveform, with no markers as it does if I open an Apple Loop.
If I switch to the Tags tab, ever single checkbox is grayed out. Finally, if I go to the file menu, all Save options are grayed out.
My first thought, is of course, that I'm just an idiot and that I don't know what I'm doing. However, in searching the forum, I found this post from a year ago where someone is complaining about what seems to be the exact same problem, and they did not receive a single response.

In case you are importing a whole track you won't get the results you are expecting with ALU....
Under *File Type* in the Tags tab select Looping so that the Transients Division and the rest of the settings be active.

Firefox 25 doesn't work at ALL for Facebook

I have five computers; three laptops and two desktops. All of them updated to FF 25 within the past 24 hours, and NONE of them work properly on Facebook anymore. It locks up, shows as "not responding" endlessly, or just crashes entirely. ON ALL FIVE COMPUTERS. I've disabled all plugins; mostly I just have stuff like developer tools and Firebug, and it still happens. The pages take up to five minutes to load, if they load at all, and they're never *completely* loaded. I dunno what happened, but I sure hope I can roll it back. I have no problems in Chrome or even IE. But I rely on Firefox as my default browser. Now I have to switch to Chrome. I don't expect a fix, this is more of a report. (I'm not a newbie at this, by the way)

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

CS3 Free Transform Tool does not work at all for distortion

I tried everything, worked with vector objects of different configurations and rasterized objects. Nothing works. When I press Free Transform Tool and go to bounding box corner it become rotate or resize tool. When I click a little bit inside the bounding box and hold Command Key (I tried many keys and without keys) it just moves the whole object, it did not select just one point that I need. Envelope Mesh does not work for the same reason, but I do not need mesh tool. I have Illustrator 13.02, Mac OS 10.4.11
The Free Transform Tool functions exactly as the main selection tool. Please help.

I STILL cannot get this to work. I have tried everything suggested in this thread. I have followed the directions in the help menus explicitly. I have tried grouping, ungrouping. I have tried it on type, on type changed to outlines, on simple rectangles. Without success.
When I try to use the free transform tool and hover over a corner of the bounding box, I get either a double-headed corner arrow, a rotation arrow, or a move arrow. Using the first two, dragging the point and then holding down the control/command key results only in a scaling of the object.
Should I restart? Should I re-install? What should I do?

HT4718 I cannot get internet recovery to work at all for my macbook air.

I somehow or other seem to have completely erased everything and have had to run the internet recover for my macbook air. Im not sure which year model it is. Anyway I am trying to reinstall lion from internet recovery and was using a verizon jetpack. Well it got down to 3 hours 6 mins remaining and that was after about an hour of running (it was actually installing lion for me) then it began going up slowly clear up to three and a half hours. So i decided to try using an ethernet connection and now I cant even get internet recovery to recognize that there is internet and it keeps putting an exclaimation point in the globe and saying -4403F. Ive tried going through the process several times and I am lost. Can someone please help me. I do have an open case with Apple Care but I want to get this up and running tonight if possible and they are closed.

Am I the only person that the Technical Preview doesn't work at all for?

I installed Windows 10 Technical Preview on my Surface Pro 3 and it was a complete joke. I could not use the machine at all?

Which build? Which SP3 model? What specific problems?
I have 9926 running on an SP3 i5 and have had zero problems. I know of lots

You can trash the 4.0 beta and then re-install Firefox 3.6.15 from http://www.mozilla.com
When you trash the Firefox beta it will not remove your user data which is stored elsewhere in the profile folder. When Firefox 3.6.15 is installed it will use the existing profile folder containing your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.

Skype not working at all for Mac and iPhone

Hi! I'm running Skype ver.7.10 (777) on OSX Yosemite (10.10.3) on my MacBook Pro. I'm also running Skype ver.5.14.72 on my iPhone 5s on iOS 8.4. I've been having problems with Skype for Mac for the past week. It started with lagging messages in Group Chats (We have around 23 people in there, though usually only half would be online at the same time). It would take anywhere from 2 to 15 minutes to send a single word. Later, I would receive messages 30 minutes after it was sent from friends. Now, I can neither send or receive messages on Skype for Mac. Also, I would be able to chat with my contacts in private one on one chats, but when I tried to uninstall and reinstall the application, I could no longer chat with them and they would appear offline to me, even though I can confirm through webversion of Skype that they are indeed online. As for Skype for iPhone, I noticed I stopped receiving messages late yesterday, but I only got the chance to check it out now. I can no longer send or receive messages from my groups or people I've chatted with on Skype for Mac. In short, my Skype for iPhone now has the same problem for Skype for Mac. So far, I've only tried uninstalling, restarting my MacBook and reinstalling Skype. Same goes for my iPhone; uninstall, restart, reinstall. Really need help here since I have an important Skype conference call scheduled in a few hours. I'm not sure if webversion of Skype supports conference calls...? I hope this issue will be resolved soon though for now, any help will be appreciated.

I've been having a similar issue that began at approximately 7:00 pm EST last night - really hoping there's a solution soon! I've begun to receive messages from a group chat I'm in, but they're still few and far between.
