Is IconButton title truncation broken in AE CC?

I've been working on a script which uses IconButtons for their title truncation abilities. This works (mostly) in CS6, but when I run the script in AE CC, the same truncation settings does nothing. It doesn't look like the specifications have changed. Anyone else having the same experience?

On further testing, I can't get any of the titleLayout properties to function in AE CC.

Some titles truncated in month view

Hi everyone, I always view iCal in month view, and I realise that when I have a few things on one day, it makes sense to truncate the event titles to one line. However, when there is only one or two events on a day, it sometimes shows me the whole event title, however, sometimes it truncates it to one line, even if there is nothing else on that day. It seems to be completely inconsistent in how it decides which to truncate and which ones not - is there something I'm missing here?

Large font titles look broken after rendering

I'm having a problem when trying to create large, frame-filling titles in Final Cut Pro X. They look fine before FCPX starts rendering, but afterwards, there are chunks missing from the corners of certain letters. The problem is the same with various fonts. The font size is 580 and I'm using the 'custom' title. The images attached show what the title looks like before rendering (fine) and after (broken). I've tried exporting as a master file to see if it's just a problem with the preview, but the title still looks broken in the exported file.

Yes, you can do that if the title is static. Create the text you want in an image, and bring the image into FCP X.
You can make the letters transparent in the still image software or, easier perhaps, use the blend modes or create a key in FCP

I have this JTable with visibile headers and so. Sometimes it might happen that one header is a bit too long for the column and it gets truncated (it shows three dots . at the end of the title).
Works well for me, except for short headers. For those, I'd like a simple truncation, with no dots.
Do you have any idea of where I could interact with that?

Reinstalling DW on new computer {title truncated by moderator}

I have a very old website built with CS3. I have the software disc I purchased directly from Adobe 7/8/2008 which I registered. It is for Macintosh which I still use. (but not the same Mac that I originally installed DW CS3 in) I will have to insert the old disc and install CS3 in this newer Macintosh. Can anyone tell me if I reinsert the disc how I can change and correct some incorrect information on the website. I have not updated it in several years. Is anyone living in Sacramento or Roseville California that is close enough to correct the problems for pay?

Shipping rates from USPS? {title truncated by moderator}

I can edit each item with a set weight. Actual shipping charges cost less for states that are close to CO and increase the further away you get. How do I know what my checkout/shipping options are if I create a new website through Dreamweaver?

Which shopping cart are you using? Most modern shopping carts have a back end admin area for setting up your shipping options, Zones, etc... If you know the weight and dimensions of your items, this should not be hard to set-up with USPS Priority or any other carrier. The users zip code will determine the shipping rates.

I want to delete all the songs with broken links at once

I lost a file with a lot of songs on it and it can't be retrieved. How can I delete all the song titles with broken links at once without having to delete 500 songs one at a time?

One way to identify the broken links in your library is to create this set of playlists:
Lost & Found playlists
Create a playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist. Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist. They can be deleted with CTRL+A then SHIFT+DELETE.
Or use iTunes Folder Watch and enable its option to check for dead tracks on startup.
If you have any Apple devices that could hold the lost media see this user tip.
Finally, while I'm handing out advice, see this backup tip to avoid this problem again.

Bug: static_text alignment and truncation

The "alignment" and "truncation" properties for "static_text" don't work properly:
- With "alignment = 'right'", if the text doesn't have any spaces, then it is properly truncated on the left, with the rightmost character showing on the right. But if the text does have spaces, then the alignment and truncation is screwy: The text is truncated so that the leftmost "word" is showing, and the rightmost character of the text does not show. The value of the "wrap" property doesn't affect this.
- The "truncation" property only truncates on the right, regardless of whether its value is 'head', 'middle', or 'tail'.
Tested system: LR 3.2, Windows 7.

- An "alignment" value of "right" never truncates on the left. If the text is too big to fit, the leftmost character is always displayed, regardless of whether it contains spaces.
- Truncation works properly.

Keep in mind that you cannot rollback the truncate command.
Once you truncate a table all of it's data AND statistics are gone.
If you do not want to use PL/SQL to delete all rows you can generate a script by SQL

PDF TOC Issues

I am using RoboHelp 8 and the topic titles are truncated in my PDF table of contents. For example, the topic title is Java SDK and it appears as SDK in the TOC. Why are the topic titles truncated and how do I fix this issue? The TOC appears quite good in the Word ouput, but the PDF output is terrible.
One other thing - in the PDF TOC I am getting blank lines with just the leader (..........). The Word doc is not formatted this way. Is tehre any method for fixing this?
Also, I noticed that images are not exported when the PDF/Word document are built. Is there a method for including these images in the build?

I was getting a "Missing Font" message and the explanation on the forum is that a bug in 10.6.7 caused the OS to UNEMBED fonts in PDF files!
Don't know who said that, but it's incorrect.
I built a simple text document with three lines of text. Opened three fonts not on the system, applied one each to a line of text and saved a PDF using Apple's built in PDF generator.
I then disabled the fonts and deleted them. With no fonts to find and the comment being true that fonts are not embedded, the PDF should display incorrectly. It didn't. I looked exactly as it should, meaning the fonts had to be embedded in the file.

WindowShade not working on 10.6

I have 2 laptops with registered copies of WindowShade (from Unsanity). The older MacBook Pro has Snow Leopard and runs WindowShade just fine. I just updated a newer MacBook Pro to Snow Leopard and installed WS and it won't work at all. It IS enabled and my Appearance system preference has the correct setting checked, per the Read Me file for WS.
I have logged out and back in, no go; I've restarted the laptop, no go. Application Enhancer says it is fully updated. Why would it work on one laptop, but not the other, when they're both running the same OS with the same settings?
I truly miss the ability to use WindowShade! Any advice? Thanks very much!

It sounds like a silly question, but I am trying to find out how to burn a documentary I have made to disk on the latest version of Premiere Pro. I am new to using Premiere Pro so am only on the trial version. I have exported it, but now don't know how to get it onto a disk?

I am a Creative Cloud subscriber and am using Premiere Pro to edit my videos but when I tried to create a DVD I noticed that my Premiere Pro CC versión doesn't have Encore included..Then I learned I need to install Premiere Pro CS6 and after that uninstall it leaving in my computer the encore files. Weird, very weird.
I was looking for the Premiere Pro CS6 installer in the Creative Cloud but I couldn't find it.
