Is Imovie free with upgrade?

I upgraded to OS4. I dont see the imovie icon? Do I have to pay 4.99 for it?
Thanks,
Robin

And it's not free with an iPhone 4, either--it's a $5 app that must be bought from the App Store, not a built-in application.

  • Issues with my AVCHD camera connecting to iMovie 08 with upgrade to Leopard

I have 2 Intel Mac's and both experience identical problems. when connecting via USB, the finder mounts and sees the camera (AVCHD hard disk camera) but iMovie doesn't respond. When I click on "Import from Camera" it uses the iSight camera. The camera iMovie 08 and Tiger all got along in harmony. WIth Leopard there seems to be an issue as iMovie can't seem to make the connection. Anyone else experiencing this?
I have tried the usual, unplug, re-start, different usb cable, plugging the camera in with iMovie open then again with the app. closed, connecting the camera with power off then turning the power on, having the power on and plugging into the computer all resulting in the same outcome: Mounts in the finder not in iMovie 08. Both iMovie and Leopard have fully been updated to the most recent versions.

Issue was the battery. I needed to not only plug in the camera but remove the battery too!

  • IPhoto and iMovie it suppose be free with iOS 7

iPhoto and iMovie it suppose be free with iOS 7
or only for iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c ?

From the bottom of http://www.apple.com/iphone-5s/specs/ :
    6. iPhoto, iMovie, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers are free on the App Store for qualifying iOS 7 compatible devices activated after September 1, 2013. See www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/for iOS 7 compatible devices. Downloading apps requires an Apple ID.
I'm not sure how/when they become available.

First what model Mini do you have? That will determine how high y can go.
How to identify Mac mini models
In any event you will have to pay

  • Bought CS5.5 and was promised free CS6 upgrade. WITH NO LUCK

Bought CS5.5 and was promised free CS6 upgrade. Tried once before (actually talking to someone on phone) with no success. My work is crazy May through December so just tried to get upgrade again and was denied.
THIS IS MY RESPONSE TO THEM:
Been using your products for over 10 years. Love the products and will continue to use them. But this is absurd and makes me extremely pissed. I purchased the package thinking I was going to get a free upgrade and was never informed of upgrade deadline at time of purchase. Furthermore I called Adobe once before (right around the release of cs6) and was told the update would take sometime. I don't know what Adobe thinks they will gain by pissing off a loyal customer. I have always thought it was best to obtain products legally by paying for them. Whatever. For now on when talking about how great Adobe products are there will always be a footnote of frustration attached to it.

Please contact me with a private message with your contact information and I'll try to work the system for you.

The customer service IMO just use a template to answer question. Refer me back to the developer , which is apple itself

  • Trouble with upgrading subscription from Free to Basic

Hi, I am having trouble with upgrading subscription from Free to Basic, after signing in I click on the "Try Now" button, but the browser only shows 4 circling squares indicating something happening, and carries on like this for ever.

    Hi;
You can try using a different web browser, and/or going to the main home page and trying to upgrade from here by clicking Subscribe: Quickly & Easily Create Online Forms and Surveys | Adobe FormsCentral
If using a different browser does not work you can email your phone number to me and I will forward to Support to call you and complete the upgrade, email to [email protected] and make sure to include a reference to this post so I know what it is about.

  • Does imovie 3 come free with OS 10.3 Panther?

    Hello,
Does imovie 3 come free with OS 10.3 Panther? If not, where could I buy a retail version of imovie 3? I might also consider imove 4, ilife 3 or 4 or perhaps imove2.
I am looking for a version of imovie that will run on my blue and white G3. I am aware there might me some limitations but I am not sure at this point.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Hi Mike:
No, iLife 03 is a stand alone bundle and is sold seperately. I found one here-but looks like you'll need to hurry!

  • Which Computers come/came with iMovie free?

    Hi,
I work with some computers which included iMovie free, others cannot go to the App store and get it for free. I am trying to figure out which models are which.
    Thanks

All Macs which originally shipped with Mac OS 9 or newer(not including Mac OS X Server versions prior to 10.7) will have iMovie for free, but if they originally shipped with 10.6.8 or earlier, the free version is on the computer's original disks and can't be downloaded from the Mac App Store.

  • How to install imovie free version

I bought an used MacBook Air (with Lion). I upgraded to Mountain Lion. The MacBook Air came with iMovie 11 installed on it. But everytime there is un iMovie upgrade, I need to request the former owner to type his password on it. I want to use iMovie free version. How do download it?

There is no "free" version of iMovie.
The one on your machine is under a different Apple ID and you can't upgrade it using your Apple ID account.

  • HT5148 Will the upgrade to Final Cut Pro X, promised on release of Mac Pro, be free to upgrade?

If I buy Final Cut Pro X now, will the new version, promised when the Mac Pro is released, be free to upgrade?
Having bought Logic Pro 9 last year and now having to upgrade to Logic Pro X at full cost, I don't want to make the mistake of paying for Final Cut Pro X now and then having to pay full for it again when new version is released.

  • Missing hard drive space after aborted attempt at sharing iMovie project with YouTube

So, recently I tried sharing an iMovie project with YouTube.  I clicked on the project in my project library, then selected share with YouTube from the drop down menu.  I chose to share it as a HD 720 project.  At this point, I had 27 GB of free hard drive space. After the project was converted (or whatever it's called, a process which took about half an hour, and which left me with about 6.5 GB of hard drive space), but before the project was actually exported or shared with or uploaded or published to YouTube (the second step), I saw that it was going to take three hours to upload, so I decided I wanted to share it as a non-HD video, in order to save time and space on my HD.  I cancelled the upload.  I then deleted the project in my imovie projects folder (since it now had the HD logo beside the name), intending to just start over and share the project in 960x540.  Thing is, after deleting every trace of it I could find in iMovie, in my Documents Folder, in my Movies folder, and in iTunes, I only reclaimed 4 GB of space on my hard drive (leaving me with 10 GB).  So what happened to the missing 17 GBs, and how can I get them back?  Also, the amount of space used in order to share that project just seems excessive to me, so I realize that something else might be going on here.  Thoughts?  Suggestions?  Comments?
    Thanks.

  • I want to use iMovie 6 on my new MacBook Pro running Lion 10.7.5. It won't download. Can I download Snow Leopard instead and use iMovie 6 with that older OS?

I have a MacBook Pro I recently purchased 'cause my old G4 just couldn't output my video films properly. My new MacBook Pro is running 10.7.5 OS Lion. Don't like iMovie 11 and want to use iMovie 6. It won't download on Lion. Could I download Snow Leopard (deleting OS 10.7.5) and use iMovie 6 then? I saw a previous thread that said that could be done.

AppleMan...I have the same iMac you have...i-7 16GB with a SSD....just bought it second hand and it is about 1.5 years old....it was maxed out with upgrades when the original owner bought it.  It was also restored back to factory settings prior to me taking possession.
I am making home movies in iMovie 11....max length 30 minutes or less.  I am totally new to this editing.  I am using HD footgage filmed from my Hero GoPro 3.  I am finding that the movies that I am creating are skipping, staggering, hanging up etc...usually where I had transitions.  I am certain I have enough power and memory in my iMac, so what's the issue?  I read one of your other posts about optimizing each event or clip to 1080p?  Is this what I need to do for every clip I import?  Can I do this for all the clips at once on import?  I also read that I may need to export the movie to quick time for smooth playback??
Any help you can provide would be appreciated!
    Sincerely,
    Matt
PS=How do I e mail you directly here in the posts?  I went to your profile but didn't see any "e mail" or "contact" member button to click on.
