Is InDesign Compatible with Terminal Server?

Is InDesign Compatible with Terminal Server 2012 R2?

It's just like any other package manager.
For the most part, the stuff it installs is outside of the realm of what Apple installs, so anything you install via Homebrew will work just as it would - just don't expect the Apple tools to integrate with it.
That also holds true if your're trying to install tools that somehow interact with Apache - the standard Apple install likely won't see the Homebrew-installed tools, so you may have to play games with Apache, or install the Homebrew version of Apache to work with it (and break the links to Server Admin, of course).
So, short answer - will it 'work'? yes - in as much as you can install Homebrew app and tools. Will it integrate with your existing services? probably not, at least not without some extra work.

I bought a new imac running Loin with Office 2011. I am the only mac in the office and the Server we use to access emails runs exchange 2003 and my IT person says the imac is not compatible with the server. The server does not want to let me access using any email software other than webmail access through our website. It looks as though 2011 is not compatible with 2003 per some searches online, but what are some options I have to gain full access again? I purchased parallels in hopes that this my help and I am able to use remote desktop connection to log on to server but can not drag and drop files I need. There is a shared drive on that Server we all use to exchange files.
The two main issues are gaining access to my email again and ability to drag and drop files from mac to pc. I hope this is enough info to get some solutions.
PS - IT person says my iMac's IP is what his server does not understand so that is why I can not login.

Office 2011 is not compatbile with Exchange 2003.
I suggest you post further Office related questions on Microsoft's own forums for their Mac software:

Is J2EE compatible with Windows server 2003? Whenever I try to install it says its not compatible, and the sun site only mention XP and 2000 Advanced Server.
Does anyone use J2EE on win2k3server? Which version do you use?

Which J2EE version are you trying to install and where did you download it from? J2EE 1.4 SDK should install and run on Windows 2003. At what point in installation exactly are you getting this message?

  • RH 7 files compatible with RH Server 8?

    Hello,
My company is looking to purchase RH Server 8 to replace our outdated RoboEngine 3 (or 4).  The help files were designed by a contractor originally and she came back last year to help us update them.  She did so using RH7.  Now I am trying get RH Server to host the files with from our webserver and the enterprise says they will approve the purchase if we can go with RH Server 8.  Are the files she created with RH7 going to be compatible with RH Server 8?
    TIA,
    Brad

    Hi there
Hopefully my esteemed colleague John won't mind my making a small observation here.
I see that Brad is advising he only has access to the OUTPUT files.
While it's certainly possible to re-purpose them as project files, they won't provide everything you need. If you are going to end up purchasing the RoboHelp authoring component, you really need to have the SOURCE files the contractor used to create the output.
These are much different than the output files and will actually include files that never see the light of day in output, but are necessary for the project.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Phtoshop with Terminal Server

    Hello.
    We are using different products:
    Photoshop
    6.01
    Photoshop CS
    2.0
    Photoshop CS
    4.0
    Photoshop   Elements
    1.0
    Photoshop   Elements
    2.0
First question: Is it possible to run all of them with a terminal server? With terminal server I mean every user starts it's own session on the server when starting the programm. It doesn't matter on which kind of server (Windows, Citrix). We just want to know, if it is possible.
If we change our running systems to Windows 7 we have to change our products, too.
    Adobe   Photoshop CS5
    Adobe   Photoshop CS5
    Adobe   Photoshop CS5
    Adobe   Photoshop Elements 9
    Adobe   Photoshop Elements 9
Can these programms be used with a terminal server?
Thanks a lot for the answer and the heldp.
    David

I don't have Elements 1.0, so I can't answer for that version, though as I recall it was pretty closely related to Photoshop 6.0 or 7.0, so it should work.
For all other versions of Photoshop, I have brought them up over RDP and tested them, and they do run.
Note that OpenGL cannot be enabled over an RDP connection for Photoshop CS4 and CS5.x (not even with W7 SP1 and Server 2008 R2), so people expecting to use the several good features ONLY available when OpenGL is enabled may miss them.  As with the other versions, the interactivity is generally diminished by remoting the relatively high bandwidth graphics operations across a link, because no matter how fast a link is it's nowhere near as direct as the PCIe buss to a local graphics card.
Generally speaking, Photoshop can be both extremely compute-intensive and put a lot of data out to the UI, so it's not a very good fit to running via Terminal Services.  I certainly would prefer running it locally.
I do hope you have a good, responsive LAN between your terminal server and your clients, and a very healthy server.

Problem - every 40 minutes, 2 hours server stopped pinging in spoke network while this worked in LAN,when we trace it by pinging of server IP address we get RTO,
after rebooting the server, we can easily access the server and work for again 40 to 2 hours.i am not able to understand the problem
    i have troubleshoot -
    1. restarted all network media during the problem
    2. reset the LAN card of server
    3. restarted the server
after all, it is not resolved.
please help me here to solve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Damodar
    Regards, Damodar

    Hi Abrante
thanks for your response but the issue of tftpboot still seems to be there. I am unable to find the issue here. We users try to load their images from the /tftpboot directory on the routers they get the following error messages
Error loading file: errno = 0x3c.
    Can't load boot file!!
They are able to connect to another tftpboot server without any issues at all. I am not sure if I have missed out any configuration parameters while enabling tftp. Is there anywhy I can find tftp log files on the server.

  • FCP X Compatible With FC Server?

I understand FC Server is being discontinued, as some of the functionality is now handled in FCP X. That said, will documents created in FCP X be compatible with FC Server (meaning my company's recent investment in Server isn't out the window once we upgrade to X)?
