Is internet required to use photoshop mix

When you drag-and-drop database connections, does JDeveloper automatically insert ADF code into your project to execute those database connections?
Database objects may be added, not the database connections. Please refer

ADF code is not added when Database objects are added.

  • If I purchase photoshop download do I need an internet connection to use photoshop or just for download?

I am thinking of purchasing photoshop and since it is only available now by download I would like to know if I just need an internet connection for download or would I need it for download and when I decide to use it?

If you buy the subscription model, you would have to have an internet connection, namely for the software to contact the mother ship at least one every month to reactivate itself and to take advantage of all the automatic updates.
If you buy the slightly older (but still sold by Adobe and its resellers), perpetual-license CS6, then you need the internet only for the initial download, and to update it periodically at your pleasure.

  • Processor Requirements for using Photoshop on a laptop

I am buying a laptop. There are inexpensive machines with the Celeron processor or the AMD-V series. These are both single core processors.
A salesman at a computer store, Microcenter, said that Windows 7 is written for dual core processors and if I tried to use a single core processor for applications like Photoshop it would become very slow.
Is he telling the truth? Also, he said that the AMD Ahtlon II processor runs hot. I had this problem years ago with AMD desktop processors. He said that the AMD Turion runs better.
Also, can I go with a standard graphics card, or can I just use what comes with the computer. I purchased a Presario CQ56-115DX but have not taken it out of the box.
The salesman was pushing me to upgrade to an Intel dual core chip.
    Thanks

There's an old saying:  Good / Fast / Cheap - pick any two.
Modern Windows depends on an unprecedented number of processes running simultaneously.  A multi-core processor is a good idea.

  • Using Photoshop CC Without Internet Connection

I'm new to this forum. I did attempt to find out if my question had been previously asked and could not find it using the search engine or in FAQs.
My question; is Photoshop CC functional when there is no Internet connection? I find myself overseas without or with virtually no Internet connection nearly six months of the year.

A continuous internet connection is not required. But Photoshop will attempt to verify subscription status every 30 days. However, if you have an annual plan, it'll work for 99 days before shutting down.

  • Photoshop CS5 keeps crashing when I use the mixer brush

Not sure what the problem is, I installed the trial version and have been using the mixer brush as it is an amazing tool, but the program freezes repeatedly. I have run the latest CS5 windows update. I have a pretty good system on windows vista 64bit, ATI Radeon graphics card, 6GB ram, Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920  @ 2.67GHz, 2668 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s), Dell Studio XPS 435MT.
This seems to happen randomly but there is no escaping it. Does anyone know how to fix this program? It appears that my processes are only using 2GB of available 6GB of RAM.
I need help, this is killing me. thanks.

Are you running the 32 or 64 bit variant of Photoshop?  Both are installed on a 64 bit system.
What kind of memory allocation are you allowing Photoshop to use?  Check Edit - Preferences - Performance.
Also, are you configured to use the OpenGL acceleration?  Same dialog.

  • Why is sign in required each time Photoshop CC 2014 is used?

why is sign in required each time Photoshop CC 2014 is used?

Are you signing out each time you quit? Normally you should just stay signed in. This "sign in" is basically the same thing as what we used to call "activation". When you sign out of Photoshop or Creative Cloud, you are deactivating the products. The products will only run while activated.
If you are not signing out, are you doing any sort of system cleaning, or maybe such cleaning happens automatically while rebooting your computer (possibly because you are on a company network)? If so, this cleaning is also removing the files that track your sign in/activation and they need to be recreated. It's like a cookie on a web page that prevents you from having to log on each time. If the cookie is removed, you have to sign in again.

Hi, my current plans and products include Creative Cloud Photography plan (one-year) and Creative Cloud single-app membership for Photoshop (one-year), I only use photoshop occasionally and for very basic things, are these two plans required for basic photoshop use or am I able to go with one or the other ?

PS is part of the photography plan, so your single app plan is redundant.

  • How fast an internet connection is required to download Photoshop without getting timed out by the server?

What minimum internet speed is required to download Photoshop without being timed out by the server?
I experienced a spectacular crash and blue-screen freeze while attempting to download the creative cloud from a hotel wifi system.
Since I don't want a repeat of that calamity, I suspect I was timed out but would welcome input. The hotel has about 1 mbps internet speed according to speedtest.net.
I'm currently working in China but live in Atlanta, waiting to return home to download isn't practical.

Zaphod922 there is no specific bandwidth requirement but if there is enough failures then the download will eventually be canceled.  Perhaps a coffee shop wifi hot spot to download the applications?
As an alternative you can download the base installers from Adobe CC 2014 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2014 Release | ProDesignTools.  You would still need to download the updates but having the base install in place will reduce the downloads through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • How can I attach a photo to an email, using Photoshop Elements9,without going through the Revel cloud

How can I attach a photo to an email using Photoshop Elements 9, without going through the Adobe Revel cloud?

    Adobe user wrote:
I'm using Windows 7.  I have no email clients.
You don't need an Email client nor Adobe Revel account to send email and photos as attachment.  All you need is an email account (could be free web-based account such as Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, AOL or whatever including from your own ISP.  And of course an Internet Connection.
Now the most obvious requirement is out of the way so you need to go in to your Organizer and click on Share button and choose Photomail. Select the photo you want to send and follow the instructions that are on your screen.
You also need to request an Adobe Verification Code to enable you to use Adobe's Mail Servers to send the photos for you.  To do this go to:
    Edit >> Preferences>> Sharing
Look for something like this and fill out the red boxes where indicated (click on this image to see it clearly).
    Hope this gets you started.

  • Can I use photoshop to edit pictures etc when my computer is offline?,

I"m new to image processing, but am an old hand at word processing.   I've been bounced from window to window for what seems like several hours now. Adobe Photoshop, like Microsoft Office, seems to be the industry standard for its field and both companies seem to be constantly finding new ways of screwing the customer, or that's the way it looks to me. When initially purchasing the product,it is not always possible to get essential information either from reading the package, asking the store clerks who sell it to you, or going on internet chats at vendor websites as I am doing now.
Sometimes when you buy software it is only good for one computer, sometimes up to five.  And what happens, now, if you process words and images offline and miss out on the endless series of "updates" (that may have come from hackers instead of from Adobe and Microsoft as the senders claim?)  I seem to be running into all sorts of problems first with continuing to do word processing with Microsoft products, and in trying to avoid these same problems now when getting started with image processing with Adobe.
I have been around word processing software for the last twenty years, or actually for as long (and longer) than there ever was such a thing.  There was a time when you bought a disk, put it in your computer, followed the prompts, and started typing.  The software didn't change and there was no time limit on being able to pull a document out of a file, make changes to it, and then put it back-- "ad infinitum."  Apparently things are different now, are they not?  What a mess.

Yes, the desktop applications in Creative Cloud, such as Photoshop and Illustrator, are installed directly on your computer, so you don’t need an ongoing Internet connection to use them.
An Internet connection is required the first time you install and license your apps, but you can use the apps in offline mode with a valid software license. The desktop apps will attempt to validate your software licenses every 30 days.
Annual members can use the apps for up to 99 days in offline mode. Month-to-month members can use the software for up to 30 days in offline mode.

  • Cursor disappears when using Photoshop, anyone else?

My cursor disappears when using Photoshop, I have to leave the program to get it back. Happens constantly since installing 10.8.3.
Was fine for years, until I upgraded my OS

    NEW, 1ST TIME POST
I'd like to see some real effort on the part of Apple to 1) address the issue and 2) post a fix.
I've been using the same equipment for several years (27" iMac and a Wacom Intous4).  Everything was lovely until 'upgrading' to the latest OS…  The cursor dissappears at will.  I can NOT predict the event, only that I have only found it occurring in Photoshop.
    Contacted Wacom.  No help there.
I got VERY tired of having to close PS to get the cursor back.  My tablet is hard-wired and my keyboard is an Apple wireless.  Of course, w/o a cursor, how are you going to click on anything…  Keyboard worked, but not the Wacom.  Finally got out my wireless [Apple] mouse, fired it up, and used it as a 'backup' (for crashing my way out of PS).  The mouse never interferred with operation.  THOUGHT it was a Wacom problem, because I've yet to create the event with a normal mouse.  I admit I rarely, RARELY use a mouse.  Seems that I can't draw with a rock…
Aggravated by the lack of interest across the board, I discovered quite by accident one day a work-around: flip to a different desktop and then right back.  Voila.  Cursor is back.  I've got 4 desktops available, so it is a quick CTL + arrow.  My work-around works for me WITHOUT FAIL.  Pay attention Apple/Adobe/Wacom.  Apparently something here is refreshing whatever and solving the problem.  Until the next time, of course.
Apple - Adobe - Wacom, please don't think we're 'satisfied' and we'll fix it in the NEXT mulit-thousand dollar computer/OS/tablet purchase.  I love the products, but with this latest OS, you have a perfect storm of bugs (don't ask me about dropping the Internet DAILEY, s-l-o-w to non-existent blutooth connectivity, new 3D weird actions or [insert drumroll] 'THE CLOUD').
Call any of those listed and get ready for a raft of denial and finger-pointing.  I admit, you quickly find yourself somewhere like the Phillipines or India, trying to talk to someone who can't converse with you in you own language, but that is NOT the fault of us, the end-users.
Finally: 'Caps lock'?  Please.  Give the guy SOME credit.  Maybe the light was burnt out on the keyboard?
C'mon.  Get with it guys!!  Denial mixed with 'passing the buck' is not an answer.  And you want MORE MONEY out of me?????
I agree with lkooz, break out the Beseler — I'll get the trays ready…
