You can still download it (and most all other previous iOS versions) from various non-Apple sites BUT, upon trying to install the update, Apple "phones home" to validate that the iOS version you are trying to use qualifies for the device. Because you are using an iPad 2, your device currently qualifies for iOS 8.1.1 so that is the only version that Apple will allow your device to be updated to.
In other words, you cannot update from iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 7 on your iPad 2 if iOS 8.1.1 is the most current version your device is capable of running. You cannot update to an intermediate version of iOS.

Don't believe the bad press. It is generally wrong anyway.
I say that you should upgrade to iOS 8.1. So far both myself and the users I help to support have upgrade without any problems at all.

Is a mutli-folio app still available to download after Professional/Enterprise subscription cancellation?

I aim to create an app for iPad and android tablets which would be updated twice yearly with revised content.
I understand that in order to achieve this I would need at least a 'Professional' DPS subscription.
My intentions were to subscribe to 'Professional' in order to publish the app then cancel the subscription once approved and available for download. Then repeat for each update.
As the multi-folio app would be hosted by Adobe, what happens once a subscription is cancelled?
Would the latest version of the app still available for download or would it be removed from the app stores?

So, the app simply acts as the folder for the content and once unsubscribed this content is pulled from the app? In essence it would then become an empty folder until a subscription was renewed?
My original intent was to create a built-in single issue app but as that is not possible for Android I am obliged to create a multi-folio app, hence requiring an expensive subscription for 'Adobe DPS Professional'. Is there no easier/cost effective solution to be able to cater to both platforms in this case?
Please bear with me as I'm new to DPS and still trying to get my head around it all.

Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.

In a pre-press (work) environment, we still have 3 Macs that are not up to date. Is there a download link somewhere on the apple website where we can download and install Mavericks OS?

Replacing server that has Opalis 4 - Still available to download or migration tips?

I am replacing the application server on a legacy application that uses Opalis 4.08 on Windows 2000. We are moving to Windows server 2003 and I was looking for help or resources on how to approach this.
If I could get a 4.0 installer then staying with 4.0 would be easiest, but if there is an easy migration to version 5 or 6 that could be explored.

Is photoshop cs6 still available and is Illustator files able to be opened in photoshop CC as well as am I able to download Photoshop CC and keep Photoshop CS6?

I have a logo created in Illustrator cs6 but I am afraid that it won't be compatable with Photoshop CC. Is Photoshop cs6 still available for download. Can Illustrator cs6 files be converted opened in Illustrator CC. I heard there were some conpatablity issues.

You can get Photoshop CS6, CC, and CC 2014 all from the Creative Cloud application.
But I HIGHLY doubt that files that Photoshop CS6 can open would not be compatible with Photoshop CC. Photoshop CC is, when you brush away the clouds, just an evolution of the product that's being licensed a different way. All appearances are it's compatible with files made before.
I know nothing about Adobe Illustrator.

Is the Flex Component Kit for Flash Professional still available for download somewhere?
We are currently trying to get some old stuff done in Flash to port over to flex and convert a MovieClip made in Flash to an SWC/Flex component.
The link stated here at the bottom Flex Component Kit for Flash Professional (Adobe - Flex Downloads) does not work.

There isn't. But the CS3 kit works for CS4 too.

Is Version 2 Still Available?

I am currently using Adobe Captivate Version 1 and now see
that version 3 is available.
My question is whether version 2 is still available for
download as a dmeo. I am curious to view version 2 before making
any decisions are version 3.

Yes, normally once Adobe makes a new version available, the
last version is no longer available for upgrade or purchase. So to
the best of my knowledge, 3 is what they have presently and that's
all you will be able to find.
Just as an FYI, here are the features that I can think of
that 2 brought to the plate:
In no particular order...
* Zoom Areas
* A "color picker" tool (eyedropper) for selecting colors
* Changes to text caption dialogs (ability to apply bullets,
numbering, insert symbols, background color, etc.)
* Skins and Closed Captioning
* Enhanced navigation by choosing an action to occur when
slides end
* A new tab in the main application that shows Branching
* A new toolbar called the "Stage" toolbar. Sits between the
Timeline and Edit area
* A new panel called the "Library" that lists assets such as
Background images, Images, Flash content.
* Ability to insert Flash Video files (.FLV format)
* A new dialog called "Advanced Interaction" that shows you a
listing of all scorable objects in the movie.
There may be more that I missed. Version 3 brings all those
features and even more. Just to name a few...
* Rollover Slidelets
* Ability to Copy, Paste, Import/Export Question slides

Lion is no longer available from the Mac App Store. Even the thumb drive version has been withdrawn. It should be possible to get it by calling Apple Phone Sales.

Sky Go Desktop v1 for OSX 10.6 - still available?

Hi All. OSX 10.6.8 (the latest version my laptop can run). I recently had some laptop issues, so I am reinstalling some apps and things. I deleted Sky Go Desktop from my machine. Foolishly before checking to see if it was still available to download. However, I now cannot reinstall. The web page displays the message that Sky Go is already installed on this machine.
It seems that after years of nothing beyond Snow Leopard being supported, my OS is no longer supported by Sky! So I am locked out. Is it possible to still download version 1 of the Sky Go app? It was working fine until a couple of days ago. I just need the app file again. Could someone provide it for me please? I don't mind about it being unsupported. It was working just fine for downloaded programs up until a few days ago before I had to reinstall things.

Those requirements are for the DVD version of it and not the Mac App Store version. Check sites such as Amazon or eBay for iWork 09 DVDs.

First, are you positive it is really not there? Have you looked in your iTunes folder in your Music folder, and in the media folders there? Do you see your media files?
If your media are gone it is a lot easier to restore from a proper computer backup. Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.

I wanted to purchase Garage Band for ios from the App store, but is says it requires ios 4.3. I don't want to update to ios5 yet, because (as I understand) it needs Lion on my Mac, and I have a few programs that I still need that will not run on Lion. When you download iOS 5, you can still sync your phone with your computer as you normally would even without Lion, if that's what you were asking.
Without Lion however, you can't take advantage of these things on your Mac: http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/
When you update to iOS 5, you can set up iCloud in the Settings App and it will store all of that ^ stuff in the cloud. But without Lion on your computer, it will just sit up there and wait until the day you do get Lion.
In short, iOS 5 and Lion are not dependent on each other. Feel free to download iOS 5, and maybe Lion in the future if you feel like it.
