Hello, my iPad Air 64 GB WLan became after the update on iOS 8.0.2 8 and iOS slower.
That is that all sides very much more time take open itself until this itself.  The new progress beam in the upper window area moves very slowly.  That is so in the flight mode and in the WLan mode.
That everything went before the update, under iOS 7 substantially faster.  I removed already all my photos.  That brought however also nothing.  At memory location, I still have 45 GB free
Someone knows do again so quickly can react what I therewith the device like before the Apdate.

Thank you. I have the same problem with slow iPad. If I do a reset will I loose any data? I have removed 20 gig of videos but it hasn't seemed to free up any space on the iPad. Any insights you can give will be greatly appreciated.

  • HT203747 my iPhone cooked itself, burnt my hand then when I angrily bought a new phone I can't receive half of my texts

So my apple IPhone 4 cooked itself and wiped itself of anything useful, I was obviously pretty angry that my phone both hurt me and died so unceremoniously so I went and bought a Google nexus 5, now I can't get half my texts because they keep going to I messages.. So I troubleshooted, deleted my iPhone from devices, changed my iTunes password and still i'm not getting my texts, I've lost clients and I'm definitely no longer buying the Mac book I was about to purchase .. I need some help.. Apple is officially the shittiest company I know especially because the new iOS slowed down my phone and probably killed the battery to begin with.. I work with a lot of companies and this new light has actually made them cancel their apple orders, can anyone help me?

You should contact Apple about this, as it is at least potentially a safety issue and Apple takes the safety of their customers very seriously. Use the phone number appropriate for your area on this page - http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
Alternatively, carry the iPhone in to an Apple retail store or Apple authorized service provider.
I have no way of knowing what Apple will do, of course, but I can be pretty sure they will want to hear about it.
    Best of luck.

  • After IOS 8 update, the screen is jerky and the response time is really, really slow... Using a PC to submit this!

Is there a solution to a jerky screen and a slow response time after updating to IOS 8?

    Try some basic troubleshooting:
    (A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    (C) Setup as new (data will be lost)

  • Iphone 4 slow after IOS 8 upgrade

I've upgraded my phone to IOS 8.0.2 and I've noticed a substantial decrease in both performance and ability to use SIRI.    Apps load incredibility slow and SIRI is painfully slow.    At least 8 seconds to load, and then another 8 to 10 to get the app or SIRI to do anything.     I've closed all the background applications and restarted the phone to no avail.    Can someone tell me why there is such a performance hit to the IP4?

That's the answer?   Really?  Downgrade?   Are you kidding me?

  • TS1398 Wifi slow after iOS 8 upgrade

Since upgrading to iOS 8 the wifi connection from both my iPad Air and iPhone 5 is so slow that watching video or streaming is not possible and many web pages take ages to load. I've rebooted and reset both devices and 2 different routers that are working well with other devices (including apple products running on earlier iOS version.) Is the only solution to revert to iOS 7 until the issues are fixed?

    Thanks Brian,
on an AirPort Extreme which hasn't been updated and isn't waiting for one.
this specifically started when I upgraded to 8.0.2 and from the look of the communities and Twitter, it's not just me.

  • Ipad running slow after iOS 8 upgrade

Ipad mini is running extremely slow after upgrading to iOS 8.  Can I go back to the old iOS?  The speed of the current mini is useless.

No, you cannot downgrade iOS. Many, many people have reported similar issues and have been helped. If you are having specific problems, search the forums for similar issues already asked and answered, or post your own support request.

  • IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgrade

After IOS 8 upgrade many aplications ( Safari, Facebook, etc) load  very, very slow (comparing with 7 version) , with a significant delay of more than 10 seconds...
Who can I solve this problem? Any workaround?

Apple should better test the software before delivering.

Here's the list of the most annoying issues that affect me since updating my iPad 2 64GB w/Cellular iPad to IOS 8:
EXTREMELY SLOW - When opening apps, or switching between them - We are talking just the built-in apps. Mail, Safari, Settings....
Extremely slow Wi-Fi AND broadband. The Wi-Fi is the worst though. Horrible. Page load times are 2 to 4x slower than my wife's iPad.
Battery life reduced by at least 25%. Used to make it all day long, now I am having to plug it in.
Heat - It is working so hard that the processor is heating up. That can't be healthy for it, and surely the majority of the power issues stem from this.
Copy/Paste not functioning correctly between browser windows. Oh this is frustrating. I just want to paste the URL of one website I am on to Facebook, for instance. Even though I COPY, it's pasting in info I clipped a earlier in the day to one browser tab, but if I open another one, it will paste the correct information. You never know what you are going to get.
Cannot post a photo to facebook by hitting the camera icon when leaving a reply or making a post (using web browser version)... It starts the upload, then just stops. I *CAN* go to photos, then SHARE it to facebook, but that doesn't allow me to post a photo along with a reply.
Multiple app crashes per day. This I can deal with. It's nothing new, it's just more frequent. Safari and Mail seem to be the major culprits. It wouldn't be so bad except it takes 2-4 seconds to reopen the crashed app. Sometimes as much as 10 seconds.
And that's just the annoying ones....

  • After iOS 8 update wifi is so slow and battery life is much worse

After installing iOS8 on my 5s the wifi and 3G has slowed remarkably down. The facebook app now doesn't refresh unless I turn the phone off and on again and safari takes an age to load it's pages. Also the battery life is even worse than before. I used the maps yesterday for 1.5 hours for a trip and it took me from full battery down to 10% in that time. This is really irritating me now, will it be fixed?

Like you I have a 4S running on iOS 8, and since the upgrade to 8 my battery drains like crazy.  I'm not experiencing the wifi issues that some of the other posters are having, but the rapid battery drain seems to be a common issue.  I keep hoping Apple will address this with their updates for iOS 8, but it always seems to be overlooked.

  • Slow to no wifi speed on 4s after ios 6 update

yesterday I updated my 4S to IOS 6 and now my wifi speed is zero. I've restored the phone, deleted the wifi network and rebooted everything and I still cannot even complete a speed test on the phone, it's so slow. It will not pull up a map or download an upgrade.

I, too, had slow WiFi connections when able to connect at all after upgrading my 3rd generation iPad to IOS 6.  I think I found a way around the problem this morning and have notified my Apple support contact with my findings.
The following provides a little background about my specific problem:
After upgrade to IOS 6, home network wouldn't connect
Tried all the suggested options (recovering iPad- twice, Auto proxy, turning wireless and airplane mode on/off, rebooting iPad, disabling wireless security) none of which solved problem
finally able to connect by reconfiguring my Linksys E1500 router to use channel 6, confusing because it use to work, but at least I was connected
In my office I had great connectivity with no modifications - ran speedtest and had >18Mbps/sec download speed
Figured it was my router so was getting ready to buy an AirPort, when I found that my Mac-mini could be configured to operate as a router
Configured the Mac to share my ethernet and got excellent connectivity on iPad >18Mbps/sec, same as in the office
Tried all Linksys router channels and found could only connect on channels 6, 7 and 8 and only when channel width was set to 20Meg.  Could only connect using 20/40Meg channel width on channel 6.
Throughput on channel 6 was: 0.72Mbps down, 1.05Mbps up with a ping time of 156Msec (Note router was in N/B/G or "Mixed" mode)
Reconfigured the Linksys router to only use B/G mode and the Auto channel selection now works and got the following throughput: 6.79Mbps down, 3.30Mbps up and 975Msec ping (Note this was about 50 feet from the router - same conditions as above.  When in the same room as the router got: 19.58Mbps down, 3.38Mbps up, 982Msec ping)
So for my specific problem I could acheive acceptable WiFi performance by downgrading my LinkSys router to not use "N" mode.  Since N mode works between the iPad and the Mac I suspect there could be an issue with Apple's implementation of the protocol, but I've supplied this information to Apple in the hopes they can address my issue in their next patch release.
I hope this information is useful to others.

Restore iPad to Factory Default; do not restore from backup. It may be the cause of the problem.

Apple must be throttling back the ipad4 processor even more with ios8 to force an upgrade to the next gen iPad whenever it arrives.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>Safari and Clear Cookies, Data and History
    - Restore from backup. See:

update to IOS 6 has been a nightmare. Facebook would allow me to save pictures unless I granted access to my foto album. Does this mean my pictures are going be planted all over the web? The safari keeps crashing and loading is slow. Most infuriating is that YouTube was deleted from my entertainment apps and I now have to pay for it if I want it back!! This is a bloody disgrace.

    Back up all data.
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with proxy servers, or with networks that require a certificate for authentication.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.

Re: IPAD2 very slow after IOS 8 upgradein response to pacoKAS
SOLVED:  IOS 8 Issues on iPad 2:
I just returned home from a visit to the Genius Bar. Like you and many others, when I upgraded my iPad 2 to IOS 8, it became practically unusable. It was VERY slow, lagged whenever trying to to do anything. Lots of screen freezes and apps spontaneously crashing. I was convinced that the processor on the iPad 2 just couldn't handle the new IOS and I went in to see about restoring to IOS 7.
Thankfully, I was hooked up with a very sharp guy at the bar. The problem is not with the OS, it is with it being an *upgraded* OS. He used the analogy of when you had an older Windows computer and how over time (and over upgrades), they just tended to get slower and slower because of all of the garbage that was carried forward in the upgrades. At those times (and if you've ever had a Windows computer, you get this), the only thing that would speed it up would be to wipe the machine and do a fresh install of the current OS and then reload your apps, and the viola, everything would be fast again. Well, it turns out that IOS can suffer the same problems.
THE FIX:  FIRST, be sure you have a current iCloud backup of your device.  Connect your iPad to a computer that has a clean fresh copy of IOS 8 on iTunes (this is best done with a computer other than the one that you sync your device to because you DO NOT want to restore it from a back up just yet). Ideally, if you do this at an Apple store you'll be assured of the right version there and someone to answer any questions you might have along the way. You then hold the power and home button down to hard-reset the device and continue to hold them down until it reboots into recovery mode. You then follow the instructions on the computer to reinstall the OS on the device (which wipes everything from it and then reinstalls a clean copy of it). Once this is done (which only takes about 15 minutes), your device will reboot and ask you to set it up. Answer the questions about language, location, etc. and continue until it asks you to log into your iTunes account. Once you do that, it will ask if you want to either 1) Set it up as a new device, 2) Restore from iCloud, or 3) Restore from iTunes. Choose (2), restore from iCloud. This will ensure that it brings down "clean" copies of all of your apps and preferences rather than the potentially corrupted ones that might reside in your iTunes backup. That's it! It will take a few hours depending on how much data and apps you have, but I am happy to report that my iPad 2 is now running IOS 8 and it's running as fast as it ever did when it was brand new!
To sum it up, this process 1) Wipes your device and the garbage causing your problems, 2) Loads a clean and bug-free version of IOS 8 to your device, and 3) restores your apps and data so that it looks just like it did before the wipe, with the exception that it works now!  :-)
Note also that by following this process you don't have to go through the painful and laborious process of reloading all of your apps, data and/or settings. iCloud takes care of all of that for you.
