Is iOS 8 work fine in iphone 4s?

Hello apple users,
I'm using an apple iPhone 4s.
Since the iOS 8 released my phone started updating the software itself once connected to a WiFi network.
I tried to stop it. But I was unable to do it.
Most of 4s users told that updating to iOS 8 makes the phone stucking/lagging , and some issues in apps.
Is it true?
How can I stop software updating ?
Any one please help. I'm in a mess.

I only had it on my 4s for a couple of days till my iPhone 6 arrived. I can't say I had any huge issues with it in that time. The first time my phone rang and it popped up on my iPad was surprising as I didn't think that was supported on the 4s and iPad 3. Personally if I was doing it again I would still put IOS 8 on my 4s, but your expectations are probably different.
I don't think I'm just indifferent to performance issues as I found the iPad 3 experience with IOS8 to be very laggy, (fresh install and setup as new iPad fixed a lot of those issues).

GIve it time. Yahoo has been have persistently random issues in past weeks. If you don't want to wait, you can try deleting and readding your account info.
The issue is on yahoo's end and all their updates/upgrades.

I thought it was OK on my iPhone 4 but there have been an unusually high number who felt it was slower. I've seen reports from beta users of 7.1 who report it is faster so you may want to wait for that release.

You can troubleshoot this using http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398 as well. If you need to restore your iPhone at all, use http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766?viewlocale=en_US and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414?viewlocale=en_US and set it up as new to see if this still happens. If it does, you might need a replacement

Can't log in iMessage or Facetime on my Mac book, account works fine on iPhone...

Checked account credentials and they're correct, it works fine on iPhone, but I can´t log in on iMessage or Facetime on the Macbook, can anyone help?

I understand that you cannot log into iMessage or FaceTime on your Apple computer. Are you using a personal network or are you on a network that may be protected by a firewall? If you are on a network behind a firewall, this could be the issue. Please use the following article as a resource when trying to resolve this issue. Please let me know if you are on your own private network and any alerts you may be getting.

Are you actually a developer or just want to "buy a beta." If you don't know what you're doing, don't do it. The beta isn't fully functional, many apps don't work on it, and you CAN'T GO BACK once it's installed.

Mail (gmail) on my apple cannot receive or send. Getting password rejected message yet it works fine on iphone, ipad, & google on web.

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

Lexus 350 (2010) bluetooth worked fine with iPhone 4 until i upgraded to iOS 5. now it's a problem. Get "no connect" . Bluetooth symbol shows up but no signal strength bar. Cannot make calls through car system. Music is also intermittant.

I fixed a similar problem on my Audi after hours of struggle!!!
I turned off Siri from settings. I deleted bluetooth pairing with my car ("forget this device"). I re-established bluetooth connection. I turned Siri back on. All fine (so far).
It seemed to be Siri related.
If this works for the rest of you kindly pass it along to one or two of the other 1000 posts on this issue. People are very frustrated right now. Its not just Audi and Lexus and Ford - its every make/model on the planet! This one is not obvious.

Can connect to router but not ad hoc network. Works fine with iPhone.

My brand new ipad on ios 3.2.2 connects fine to my router and my jailbroken iphone running Mywi. However, I cant connect to an ad hoc network set up on my laptop running vista. My iphone connects to the ad hoc without any problems. I've tried everything, static ips, wep, wpa, hard resets, restoring, resetting network settings but no go. How can' everything else be fine but not connecting to the ad hoc network, especially since it works fine to connect with the iphone?
Btw, the ad hoc is for controlling music software on the laptop through wifi. It's not for getting internet.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Did you try doing a search, upper right corner of this window, on remote control? There have been a number of discussions during the last two weeks about remote control problems.
There have also been discussions about networking an iPad via another computer, such as iMac or MacBook Pro, using the computer's wireless card rather than a router.
See if one of those will answer your question.

IOS 8 AirPrint Bug: Email printing is slow. iOS 7 works fine.

I have been troubleshooting the AirPrint bug for several days and could not find a solution for this. Whenever I print an email (even an almost blank email), it takes about 25 - 30 seconds before the print job is sent to the printer, after that the printer start printing. This long delay happens on iOS 8.1 and iOS 8.1.1. But on iOS 7.1.1, it works fine and take 2-3 seconds before the printer start printing. I have tried multiple iOS devices such as iPad Air, iPhone 5, iPod Touch to reach the conclusions.
Email printing is fine if I use a 3rd party Email App such as "Dropbox Mailbox" on iOS 8.1, 8.1.1.
Email attachment (PPT, Excel, pdf) printing from Apple's email client also works fine: AirPrint sends the print job to the printer quickly in 2-3 seconds, then the printer starts to print. Printing Apple Map and other documents from other Apps also works this fast.
The only problem only exists in Apple's email client when print emails on iOS 8.1 & iOS 8.1.1. Can you please fix the problem ASAP? Thanks.

Did you happen to resolve this issue. Testing with email the delay we see is 30-40 seconds before any data is sent to the server. If we print images ,notes or PDFs it reaches the printer quickly . Also tested this with IOS 7.x and the issue is gone for email

Home Sharing won't load on iOS devices - works fine on AppleTV

I've been struggling with Home Sharing and cannot understand why it simply won't work. I have a relatively large library (25,000 songs/300movies/1000 tv shows). I'm running all Apple devices, all with the latest OS/software versions. AEBS is my router.
Home Sharing has always worked flawlessly from iTunes on my Mac to AppleTV.
When I load up the Videos App on and any of my several iPhones and iPads in the house, my Shared Library always appears...
...however, if I tap to load it...the spinning circle appears and that's where it ends. It will spin endless for several minutes until it Fails or I stop it.
What could be the problem here? I've tried all the basic troubleshooting of turning HS on/off, in iTunes and the iOS devices, restarted every device plenty of times...Nothing.
It used to work intemittently with iOS 6, but not at all on iOS 7.

Contrary to the marketing, Music or Video using Home Sharing simply does not work on the iPad. I have spent hours on the phone with Apple Care. There is no solution. If you really need to watch video, buy an Apple TV and a small monitor or some other setup. The problem is not with Home Sharing, which works fine between my computers. Neither is it with the Wi-Fi, which I use with the Remote app to load and play the same library that Music stalls on. The problem is with the Music and Video apps, which can only load shared libraries intermittently.

Latest apple software update on Mac --cant view Microsoft exchange connected email on macbook pro. Loads but not viewable. Works fine on iPhone

Updated the lastest apple software to my macbook pro and now I can no longer read my emails from my microsoft exchange email. The email arrives in my inbox and you can open it -- but when you try and read the content -- it says loading..... but never loads. It worked fine this weekend -- but after I udpate the last apple software update it stopped working. I can read the emails fine on my iphone (same email account) but not on my macbook pro.
I called Apple and they could not figure out a solution to the problem -- is anyone else having this trouble?
