Is iPad2 to Apple TV to Smartboard the only way

Is the only way to wirelessly project anything on an iPad2 screen to a video projector by using the Apple TV?

If you have both your iPad2 and AppleTV on the most recent software update, you can mirror your iPad to the AppleTV. You will be able to project everything that is on your iPad to your projector that way. No wires needed, just a Wi-Fi network.
To do so, pull up your multitask bar by either double clicking the home button or using 4 fingers to swipe upward.
Swipe the bar to the right (moving to the page on the left)
You will see the airplay icon.
Press that, and you will see the option to output to your iPad or your AppleTV
Once AppleTV is selected, you will see the option to mirror.
Turn it on, and everything you see on your iPad will be mirrored on your AppleTV.

Hi I'm Zeina Halim. I have an iPad 4 and I forgot its password. So I kept trying over and over again till it said iPad is disabled connect to iTunes. One problem I've never synced my iPad and apple is telling me the only way to reset the password is to erase all data from the iPad. SInce upgrading to OS 8.0.2 my ipad 2 freezes, slows down, safari takes forever to open pages, cellular network goes to No Service requiring a reboot (and this takes longer than before), in summary, I now have a fancy paperweight, i used to love my ipad. I feel as if Microsoft has taken charge of the Apple Software Division.
Sorry if someone sees this post in a different thread; Just want to get some additional exposure.. Who knows, maybe someone from Apple will take note..
The glitchy, unresponsive, slow and outright crashes are something you would expect in a less superior product. I paid what I consider a premium because of the perceived integrity of the company and quality of their products. I am not going to go as far to say Apple ***** and so do their products; but they have to to a better job of acknowledging problems and providing recourse. Right now, it "feels" like they don't care about existing customers. I am not sure of the exact #'s, but I believe products like the Ipad2 represent a significant population of their existing Ipad product base.
So what is my specific rant; If Apple is going to take a long time, or worst, NOT fix the problems introduced in IOS 8 for IPAD 2, give us the option of going back to IOS 7. I would say most everyone was extremely happy with their product running under that OS and would migrate back in a heartbeat. By blocking this option, it feels like Apple is saying that the only recourse is to live with crappy performance, wait forever without any real news, or throw away your Ipad 2 and buy a newer model. Right now this is 100% completely unacceptable, and I, as will thousands of others, will watch how this unfolds when we do buy new products. Most technology products only have short, finite lifespan and I would think it is at very least very important to Apple to retain customer base in a highly competitive marketplace. I'm done... -
Since updating an iphone 5 to ios 8.3, it is no longer recognized by my Windows 7 pc. An Apple tech suggested that I install itunes as the only way to assure that I have the latest driver. Any way to do this without installing itunes?

I have a Sonos system in my house and suddenly discovered that many songs I bought off of iTunes years ago are 'grayed out' when I try to play them from my iPhone or do not appear as options at all when I try to play them on Sonos from my overall music library. It's well over 100 songs I bought back before mid-2009 when Apple dropped this DRM thing. From what I think I am reading, if I want to play those songs on Sonos, the ONLY way to do so is pay Apple another $25/year for iTunes Match (which I don't have any interest in) and then re-download them all in iTunes Plus format??

I agree it was not all communicated real well, but in your case it will work out. You missed the program where you could have upgraded 100 tracks for 30 cents each (=$30) but now you can do it via Match (=$25). It works pretty simply, per this document:

Yes. If you subscribe to iTunes Match, you can download your previously purchased music again in the iTunes Plus format. To do so:
You need to delete the original DRM song from your library first. Doing this enables you to download the song again in the iTunes Plus format from iTunes in the Cloud.
Click the Purchased tab in the iTunes Store.
Click Music.
Locate the artist of the song you want to upgrade.
Click the iCloud Download icon next to the song you want to upgrade.
Just don't forget to put the Plus files on your hard drive -- properly backed up of course -- and to cancel the Match subscription before the second year rolls around! -
Hi when I stream video content to my Tv using Apple tv from my Ipad3 I find the Ipad goes to sleep after 2/3 minutes and disconects, the only way I have found to stop this is to continually tap the Ipad screen but there has to be a simpler method/ any help would be most welcome.

If this is regarding your information line that says a stolen iPhone, Apple can do nothing to help you. You must track the iPhone yourself using iCloud and must have turned on Settings > iCloud > Find My Phone before it was stolen. If that was not done, there is no way to track the iPhone.
Report the theft to the police and the cell service provider and ask if they can blacklist the iPhone so it cannot be used. Change all passwords associated with acconts on the iPhone. -
i phone 3 shuts down after 3 to 4 mins when making a call - then large apple sign apeers phone frozen - only way to unlock is to re charge although there is enough battery - any answers would be welcome.

Hi, I bought my iPhone in Canada but have moved to Australia. I need to speak with someone at Apple Canada what is the best way to do this? Is there is an e-mail address? When I call the Apple Canada number it says I can't call from my location.
In what way did you buy your iPhone? If you paid full price at the Apple Store then your phone should be provider unlocked and should work with practically any SIM card you choose to insert in it. If you bought it cheaper with a contract then it's provider locked then your best bet is to call your cellular provider in Canada. Be sure to note your IMEI number (Settings > General > About) as they're going to need it to do an unlock. Be aware they may or may not charge for this.

Is the only way to get a software update through the Apple Store where you have to give a credit card? I thought system updates are free. I don't want to leave a credit card number with Apple.

My new iPod touch 64 Gig has a problem after syncing with iTunes. My purchased apps no longer work. I touch them and they seem to try to open but they do not.
The only way I have found to fix this is as follows:
I delete one of the purchased apps. Then I go to the App Store and re-download and install the same app. After that, all my apps work again.
Please help.Download/install an app is a know possible solution.
