Is IPS is the functional role of router? or some hardware too?

As I understood IPS can be some kind of ISR routers and CAT switches? am I right?

IPS can be performed in IOS on routers. There are some routers that also support an IPS network module so the process is off loaded to the card. AFAIK no switches support IDS (apart from the 6500).

ESOA is not any tool,application or module. Its a methodology/Architecture

"You do not have the correct role to perform this function" on New Site

I have created a new site where I added fwadmin to all roles. When I login to Admin for this site I get the "You do not have the correct role to perform this function" error. I've read the manual and retired adding the user to all roles. I also looked at the Asset Types and I get "Error in evaluation;Error in configuration" when trying to enable.
Please point me to where I am going wrong, or where in the manual (and which manual) I can find help.

When you're provisioning users for sites, you have to
1) enable the app for your site
2) specify the roles that pertain to your app
3) assign a user to the site
4) assign a user roles for the site
If you miss any one of these, you can get this error. When you see "Error in Evaluation; Error in Configuration", however, especially during the out-of-the-box apps, please report a bug to support. That message is basically the XML scripting language equivalent of an uncaught exception, and it should not happen in the UI.

I have another doubt also,when i add a role (example prospect) for a bp using the function module it works fine.but if i see the classification tab in bp transaction for that particular partner,the prospect check box is not checked.

What's the function of "Team Role" in Team configuration.
For example, go to Account Detail page, click "Add Users" button in Account Team section, there's a dropdown list named "Team Role".
In help document, it says:
To explain the role the linked record plays in relation to the main record, select an option from the Team Role drop-down list.

Team Roles are the access you define to a user you associate to a record. Lets say there are 3 user's A,B and C. If you want to associate All threeto an Account but each should have different access to that account. like A can have Edit, B Edit and delete and C only read only access. so for each user your associating you can control the access exclusively

In order to get either the repeater or the workgroup bridge functionality working, you would likely need to have a Cisco AP as root. This is because the repeater and workgroup-bridge functionalities require Cisco Aironet Information Element (IE), which requires a Cisco root AP. There is no standard for interoperability for these functionalities (not part of any 802.11 standards). You can always try to connect them, making sure that they are using the same authentication/encryption configuration. However, it is unlikely to work.

Functionality of SAP-Router

I'm not sure I''m in the right Forum but I can't find a Forum about SAProuter.
Within our company there is a discussion about the functionality about a SAP-Router.
Can someone give me answers to the remarks below?
A problem is that you easily can connect between systems on a SAP-router, where itu2019s all about, that on user-level will be decided, who can connect to an other system/customer, that such a user is authentic and the actions are logged.
--> Is that correct?
A more important issue is maintenance.
Finally it does not go for, or a SAP-router (as physical or logical entity, as process on a device, or how you would call it), but the access has to be regulated, or the supply and delete of rights has to be regulated and so on.
--> Is unauthorized use enclosed?
One of the issues is, that there are regular procedures for authorization of users and that there is a divorce of roles: a maintenance user can not give himself access.
--> Is this regulated in a SAP-router?
Because a SAP-SAP-connection by a firewall will be blind, there is to be needed a control-function.
--> Is this correct?

How can I use Automator to toggle the Function Keys?

I am trying to create a Automated process to toggle the Function Keys on my keyboard. This is because I use several programs, including After Effects, which use the F1-12 keys, but when I am not using that program I commonly use the Apple-defined shortcuts on the keyboard. I have a full-sized keyboard, hence no Fn key. So that's out right away – I've read several comments on this topic where people suggested that this is the ONLY option. I refuse to beleive that.
Automator contains a "Watch Me Do" feature, which I have tried to use to record this process. Problem is, it never clicks the right object. If I record clicking the dock, the magnification (I suspect) throws off the virtual-controlled mouse and picks the wrong object. If I record the Apple Menu route, it gets it about 1/2 the time.
I think what I'm really looking for is a console command I can feed into the Terminal which toggles the keys. It seems to be that this HAS to be an option, even if it is more than one line of commands. I believe if I can feed this process into Automator, it would work.
Any ideas?

iKey lets you define function keys per application. You seem to want to turn on & off the defined apple keys. Not sure if these keyboard re-mappers will do the trick.
Here is my other most favored application. Of course, I haven't checked these out in newer OS's. I'm a Tiger man myself.
iKey is a front end program that simulates typing and mouse movements. I use iKey to remap the Function keys.

In essence, an iKey shortcut is a little program in its own right, but you don't need to know the first thing about programming to create an iKey shortcut. All you have to do is put together three necessary parts of a shortcut: One or more commands that give the shortcut its functionality, a context in which it runs, and a launcher that defines how the shortcut is activated."

iKey has a little more function then the previous free version called youpi key. For many years, I used youpi key before switching to iKey. It works fairly well for me in MAC OS 10.4 although not officially supported. The youpi key download is hard to find & no longer here.

I have the common programs that I use assigned to function keys. I have F4 assigned to Firefox. When I want to start FireFox, I press F4. When I want to switch to firefox, I press F4! Starting & switching to an application in Mac OS are the same thing in Mac OS.

BAPI_PO_CREATE1 is not defaulting all the partner role in the PO

I am facing a problem while Purchase Uploads using BAPI_PO_CREATE1 in the LSMW via Idoc .
The BAPI is not behaving same as Txn ME21n .
In the Txn ME21n when we enter the Vendor the partner tab is automatically filled with all the Partner roles .
While when we use BAPI it is only filing the Partner role with a single partner role VN.
We are sending the sturcture partner role as blank because we wanted it to be defaulted as it is in Txn ME21N.
During the program analysis we found the following :
BAPI is calling the Function Module MM_PARTNER_SELECT which try to fill the Partner function
using WYT3 table . The table Wyt3 has the plant field as empty for that particular Vendor.
The BAPI is using the plant to determine the partner roles .
While in Txn ME21n the plant field is not used for determining the partner role .
In txn Me21n once we change the vendor entered initially & then again re enter the initial vendor number
then it behaves like BAPI & only display the single partner role .
Kindly advice .

FYI
We found the solution for defaulting partner role using BAPI_PO_CREATE1,It is a customization issue .
We have check the Higher level indicator ( Search at higher level ) in the customization Txn OLME Under Partner Determination -
> Partner setting in Purchasing document -
>Define partner schemas
If this indicator is not set, the system only transfer partner roles that are maintained at plant level .

'Approve' button not displaying in the Approve Role screen Inbox - AC 10

Hello Gurus,
I have a challenge and I'd be glad to have it fixed.
I am configuring Role Management in GRC AC 10.0.
I am in Approve Role phase.
After clicking on Initiate Approval....It send the request to the Role Owner's work inbox for approval.
However, when the role owner logs in, only the "Other actions" button shows. The "Approve" button does not show.
The "other actions" have options for "Hold" and "Request information"
Please note the following in the MSMP settings.
I am using the default settings in MSMP
Process ID - SAP_GRAC_ROLE_APPR
Maintain Path (Path ID - GRAC_DEFAULT_PATH ) & Stage Config ID - GRAC_DEFAULT_STAGE
Maintain Route Mapping - GRAC_ROLEAPPR_INITIATOR
Generate Version - Version generation was successful.
I have also assigned the following roles to the ROLE OWNER
SAP_GRAC_BASE
SAP_GRAC_NWBC
SAP_GRAC_ROLE_MGMT_DESIGNER
SAP_GRAC_ROLE_MGMT_ROLE_OWNER
SAP_GRAC_ROLE_MGMT_USER

Thanks for reply. I have configured the workflow with default path and with one stage (role owner approval). When we create roles, request is being sent for role owner for approval.
Role owner is able to see the request in workplace inbox. But not able to approve it. We are getting the same kind of error when we raise requests for user access also (you can see the error screen shot for access request and the same kind of error is occurring for role approval also).
All requests are stuck up at role owner for approval. Quick response is much appreciated.

Oracle Workflow Delegate is not Working for the Adhoc Role

Hi All,
I have a requirement where I want to send the workflow notification to the Adhoc role and then if the people who are part of the adhoc role are on vacation then the notification should get delegate to the person set by the first approver. Somehow delegate is not working here.
Please let us know if anyone of you have worked on such requirement or have come across this situation.

This issue has been resolved now.
In WF_NOTIFICATION.route procedure, Following query was selecting the Adhoc role name instead of the fnd_user, We have changed our custom in such way that there should always be fnd_user for the follwoing query.

Impact of having the fsmo role holders not available for 14 hours...

Hi everyone, we have a situation where we will lose power to the building for 14 hours and since we don't have a generator we'll be shutting down our main site. We have 15 sites, each has a dc and the hq site has two with the fsmo roles distributed between
the two at hq. So two questions to start with:
1. What will be the impact of having the fsmo role holding domain controllers inaccessible for a period of 14 hours?
2. What will we be facing once we regain power and turn the hq dc's back on?
Look forward to hearing back about this - the power outage is this weekend though!!

If your PDC Emulator fails, certain domain functions, security functions, can stop functioning. If anyone of the following is not happening then you should check if your PDC Emulator is working properly:
•Time is not Syncing: PDC is the default source for the client computers to sync the time. If client computers are not syncing the time then you should always check the PDC.
•User accounts are not locked out: PDC Emulator processes the account lockouts immediately for the entire domain.

Function modules are procedures that are defined in function groups (special ABAP programs with type F) and can be called from any ABAP program. Function groups act as containers for function modules that logically belong together. You create function groups and function modules in the ABAP Workbench using the Function Builder.
Function modules allow you to encapsulate and reuse global functions in the R/3 System. They are stored in a central library. The R/3 System contains a wide range of predefined function modules that you can call from any ABAP program. Function modules also play an important role in database updates and in remote communications between R/3 Systems or between an R/3 System and a non-SAP system.
Unlike subroutines, you do not define function modules in the source code of your program. Instead, you use the Function Builder. The actual ABAP interface definition remains hidden from the programmer. You can define the input parameters of a function module as optional. You can also assign default values to them. Function modules also support exception handling. This allows you to catch certain errors while the function module is running. You can test function modules without having to include them in a program using the Function Builder.
The Function Builder also has a release process for function modules. This ensures that incompatible changes cannot be made to any function modules that have already been released. This applies particularly to the interface. Programs that use a released function module will not cease to work if the function module is changed
