Is is possible to buy a legal copy of premiere cs5?

My CS5 was clobbered when my computer crashed and I built a new one.  I'm unable to document that I ever owned it or previous versions.  I don't want the cloud.  Is it possible to buy a legal copy of CS5?

I suggest you buy CS6 instead. It is available and is the last perpetual license.

  • Where can I buy a LEGAL copy of Acrobat X (10)

I need a Legal copy of Acrobat X. Acrobat XI (11) does not function with my Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) Scanner. HP claims that the Scanner is 100% functional and tested with Acrobat XI. I had an download "Trial" version of Acrobat X, and it works flawlessly. All I now need is an Upgrade License for Acrobat X.
PLEASE HELP ME, either Standard or Pro. will make me happy.

About your only choice would be an Adobe vendor who still has a copy on their shelves. The possibility of finding such a vendor is not too good.

  • Buying a legal copy of ps cs2

hello, is buying from here http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00080DPTA?ie=UTF8&colid=&coliid=&qid=&sr= gives me a legal license to cs2? will I then be able to legally download and use photoshop cs2 from the site? thanks.

That offer was for a CD-ROM. However, it's highly likely that that is not a legal copy. You would not be able to download a copy of CS2 from Adobe.

  • Where can I buy a LEGAL copy of CS 5.5??

Like so many people, my son uses Adobe only occasionally but he wants to grow his skills.  Adobe (with whom I just spent over an hour on the phone) tells me that my 9th grade son is not eligible for the Student version because he intends to sell business card designs with the work product from Adobe.  Sooo....I need to find a legal copy of CS 5.5.  We thought we had one, long story, but we were scammed.

No way. At this point you can only buy current versions, menaing CS6 or sign up for Creative Cloud. Anything else will bring you back to finding a legit used copy with al lthe risks liek being screwed again...

I don't know about any of that specifically, but I'd STRONGLY suggest not buying used software online.  People get burned a lot doing that.
If you're going to lay out a hundred bucks, consider subscribing to the Creative Cloud for $9.99, and invest the other $90 to help you pay for the subscription into the future.

  • OK, I now own a legal copy of Premiere pro , NOT the trial, and the program is still freezing

I am not running the trial version of this program, but I am still experiencing freezing of my computer when either exporting or rendering.  Does anyone know what could possibly be causing this?  I have 2.8 dual core processor, nvidia geforce 8600 gts, and 4 gigs of ram.  I am running windows 7 64 bit.

I believe the source footage was avchd .mts file.  It's from a Canon Vixia HF M30 camcorder.
I have a SATA hard drive , 7200 RPM, 250 gig.  About 50 gigs are free.  I have a western digital my book 500 gig hard drive that is external connected through USB 2.0 but that only has about 10 gigs left on it.  I wasn't able to install more memory but I have 4 gig, I just upgraded last week, maybe I need to go to 6.  The thing is I'm able to edit without any hiccups or choppyness in the video so I'm not sure if memory is the problem but I am probably wrong.
I just ordered a western digital 2 terabyte internal hard drive. Maybe If I dedicate that to media cache things will run smoothly?
I was using the scratch disks on the internal hard drive, then tried to split it up by putting previews and things like that on the external but there was still freezing.
If the problems still persist after I get the hard drive I'll order some extra RAM.
I hope that gives more information.  Thank you for taking the time to post.

  • How can i buy a second copy of Lion from the App store?

I have a number of Macs at home. one is a 8 core Nehalem  running 10.6.8 I tried a number of time to buy a copy of Lion to install and it will not let me, it says I have already installed it (i have but on another computer) I talked to the Genius' at the local Apple store and he told me I could buy it for $69 on a USB stick and install it. I pointed out to him that if the app store was working correctly I could get it for $29, at that point he had no more genius answers  other than "call Apple"
I know i can take my download from the first purchase and install on my second system and everything will work, but I want to stay legal and buy the second copy(for $29.99)any suggestions other than "Call Apple" ?

When you say "Authorized"  you mean in the sense of Itunes Store Authorized? if so the system in Question is authorized it is my primary Workstation and was waiting until iCloud came out to update to Lion. My MBP , and 2006 MP are all running Lion and are part of the 5 systems "authorized". I did not run into this issue with either the MBP or the MP when i installed and I bought two copies at the same time on my the first day Lion was available.
Do you know the mechanism with which the App Store tracks purchases on different computers prior to iCloud coming out?
once again thanks for your response

    Upgrading to Snow Leopard
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mountain Lion if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
If your hardware supports more recent versions then:
Upgrading from Snow Leopard to Lion or Mavericks
To upgrade to Mavericks you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8, Lion, or Mountain Lion installed. Purchase and download Mavericks (Free) from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.
         OS X Mavericks- System Requirements
Macs that can be upgraded to OS X Mavericks
             1. iMac (Mid 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 7,1 or later
             2. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) —
                 Model Identifier 5,1 or later
             3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 2,1 or later
             5. Mac mini (Early 2009 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             6. Mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
             7. Xserve (Early 2009) — Model Identifier 3,1 or later
To find the model identifier open System Profiler in the Utilities folder. It's displayed in the panel on the right.
    Are my applications compatible?
See App Compatibility Table — RoaringApps.
    Upgrading to Lion
If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion by contacting Customer Service: Contacting Apple for support and service - this includes international calling numbers. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax.  It's a download. You will get an email containing a redemption code that you then use at the Mac App Store to download Lion. Save a copy of that installer to your Downloads folder because the installer deletes itself at the end of the installation.
         Lion System Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,
               or Xeon processor
           2. 2GB of memory
           3. OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
           4. 7GB of available space
           5. Some features require an Apple ID; terms apply.

  • Legal copy of OSX 10.4???

How do I know if the computer I bought has a legal copy of OSX 10.4??

starting to sound as bad as Micro$oft...
Hardly. Every single Mac sold comes with a complete set of disks with whatever is the latest version of the Mac OS at the time, along with gobs of useful software rather than the plethora of trial software and shovelware that comes with PCs. On top of that, many PC manufacturers don't even include a copy of the Windows software loaded on your computer! Your "backup" is on a hidden partition of the hard drive. Oh yeah, that's a really great place for the bundled software you paid for if the hard drive dies.
Purchasing a newer retail copy of OS X is no different than having to buy Vista if you want to move up from the XP version that your PC came with. When you sell the PC, your only obligation is to include all of the software that came with it. You are in no way obligated to include Vista, which you paid extra for after the fact. OS X is no different. That retail disk is yours separately of the Mac you were using it on. You can keep it to use on a different Mac, or sell it alone.

eBay, if you are lucky. On the other hand: a used copy is probably more expensive than a new used Mac from eBay...

  • Is it still possible to buy version 3?

    Hi,
I've been testing out Audition5.5 and it seems so that it really screws up the workflows we've used with version 3.
For example, the Export Multitrack doesn't remember its settings anymore as it did with version 3. Every time I export I have to change settings in couple of dialogs and popups which is very annoying.
Is it still possible to buy version 3?
    Regards,

When commercial users buy software, it's quite common to get only one physical copy but licence it to have it used by as many people at the same time as they need.  The number of concurrent users they licence for is the number of "seats".
When the company I worked for about 12 years ago got a contract to provide radio news to a group of clients, we bought a particular brand of software (alas, not Cool Edit--I lost that battle because CEP wasn't as clever as we needed in a network environment) and had only one disk of the programme but licenced it for 7 seats (2 self op studios plus 5 work stations for the journalists to edit their own stories).

  • Do I need to buy a second copy?

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro that came with OSX 10.4 installed on it. My older desktop--a G5, still runs 10.3. Is it possible to upgrade my G5 in any way without having to go purchase a second (in a sense) copy of 10.4? I tried installing using the CDs that came with my MacBook, but that did not work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi SilverEM2,
You'll have to buy a second copy for your iMac.
The MacBook DVD has some specific drivers anyway, but it would be also illegal.
    Sorry.

  • Is it possible to buy a mini-dvi to HDMI cable?

    Hi,
At the minute I'm pulling my hair out!!
Is it possible to buy a cable to connect my 20" Intel iMac via it's mini dvi socket at the back, to a large widescreen lcd tv via HDMI socket on the tv?
I have telephoned numerous companies on the net and they have never heard of a mini dvi socket (like the one on the back of the imac)!! Apple say I need a mini-dvi to dvi female cable but of course they don't sell them.
Guys what do I need, and where would I get it? I've already bought a HDMI-A Male to DVI-D Male cable but it doesn't fit the mac, is there an adaptor I can buy or do I need a new cable also?
    Help really appreciated.

I misunderstood you. I thought you had a link to a mini-DVI to HDMI cable. That's why I asked for the link.
You can use the adapter you linked to and get a DVI to HDMI cable locally and it will work for you.
Sorry about the confusion on my part.
