Is is possible to do Delivery of Reports in batches using BIP- GUI

Hi All,
Is is possible to do delivery of reports in batches using BI publisher GUI. For eg. I want to deliver reports to my few customers by EMAIL, few customers by FAX, few customers by PRINTER.
Is is possible to do so..If so Please give some idea how to do so.
Thanks
Sookie.

I duplicated your results. I set up a bursting control file to send to FILE and EMAIL just like your query and I get the files on the file system but I get 2 of the same attachment in the actual email, with one of those attachments being the file that was sent to FILE....
Looking through the log I see the following:
---- begin log ---
111809_043023637oracle.apps.xdo.delivery.DeliveryManagerSTATEMENT initConfig(): loading default properties :{}
111809_043023637oracle.apps.xdo.delivery.DeliveryManagerSTATEMENT createRequest(): called with request type :smtp_email

---- end log ---
It seems like this might be a bug or some other issue where it just adds all files created for this particular request to the email... The first file mentioned (2.pdf) is the file that is to be output to the file system, the second (xmlp34854693_2_8.pdf) is the file to be emailed. Almost like it's looping through them and adding them as attachments. I'd open an SR to see if you can get some answers. Definitely post back if you do.

  • Is it possible to make delivery/reading report in mail?

How can i make it if it is possible?
    Thanks

You can find several places on the web on how to set the default headers in your email to request a read receipt, but it will happen on all of your outgoing mail, not just the ones you choose.
As for replying to them, Mail properly does not respond to them at all.
Also, I think every email client that supports read receipts has the ability to turn them off by default and the user has to opt into the scheme. So, generally, you won't get many responses. The, when you attach the read receipt header to your email, the recipient will get a popup message stating that, "Sky_matt is extremely nosy and thinks way to highly of himself. Do you wish to allow him to poke into your private life and inform him when you read this email?" At least that's how I interpret it.

  • Crystal Report XI: Can you write your query in SQL instead of using the GUI

    Hello
In crystal report version XI, can you write your query in sqlplus and then use the crystal report designer to build your report instead of using the GUI . I would like to be able to go database and show sql query and open that query and make changes directly there, is that possible on this version, if yes is there a setting somewhere? Please let me know.
    Thank you
    alpha

    Moved to Database forum.
No you can no longer modify the SQL directly. Use a Command Object to enter the SQL directly.
    Thank you

Very odd.You may want to make sure that the file where the system setting gets stored can be updated. In your <Intradoc_Dir>\urm\data\reportpublisher\config\config.hda file, there is a result set named "RPAdminConfigInfo". The third column of that result set should match the value being shown on the configuration settings page. I've changed the format value in the UI, and this file gets updated (and thus I'm getting my screening reports in the format specified in this config file.)
933154 wrote: Also, I wasn't clear on the second part of the question. The Screening Reports appear to use the template INTERNALITEMDETAILRPTTEMPLATE. Is that configuration set somewhere? Is there any way to have the screening reports use a different template or is changing that template the only way to change the screening report layout?Templates are not configurable in that respect - the template name values being called for a service are hardwired in the code (you'd need to override in a component - just not worth the hassle). I'd either edit the existing rtf file, or just check in a new revision to the existing one if the differences are that profound. You'd still need to conform to the BI Publisher standards/methodology in either case.

  • Delivery failure report for mail

    Hi,
I have two queries on mails
While sending mail to single/multiple users,
    1. Is it possible to get the delivery failure report for the unsent mails and the user to whom it was not posted?
2.Can the sent mail be posted to the sender's sent mailbox.
    Thanks
    Neha

    Hi Neha,
    1) If you set up an account for xMII on your mail server, then you should be able to use the "Read Mail" action to monitor that account's inbox for any delivery failure reports. You should then be able to parse the format of the message (which depends on your mail server) and retrieve the email address.
    2)  I don't think this can be done because it's something that your email client (e.g. Outlook) normally takes care of and is not supported in the SMTP protocol to my knowledge.
    Hope this helps

    Dear All,

    Hi,
I guess ME2A will give u unconfirmed orders that require a confirmation, but have not yet been confirmed according to the dates configured for your monitoring period. First, ensure that you have such an order
Also, ensure that your confirmation control (OMGZ) has BOTH a value in Monitoring period AND Reference date.

  • Is it possible to schedule a Webi report based on another input, i.e. expose a time in which a process was finished.

These are Webi, user created reports.
Is it possible to schedule a Webi report based on another input, i.e. expose a time in which a process was finished (this can be obtained via a SQL call, service call, etc).
The issue is that if a user schedules a report for 9PM but a process to move data, etc has not completed then that forces the user to keep re-freshing the report hoping that the process has been complete.
Ideally, in the selection UI add to the dropdown for 'when' the option 'Use Process X completion Time' (since it is a daily report).
Then starting around 9PM check to see if that 'time" value is populated then refresh (run) the report. Or it could just be a flag that the process has finished.
User's in the webi environment are asking for this, and moving their reprots to BO is not an option. That's why they have the custom webi enviroment.
    Thank you.

There is no very good way to create a working event based on a file as the file will need to be deleted as soon as the event is triggered. However there are work around which can be done for this. Here is a link which is discussing about the process.. http://scn.sap.com/thread/1677109
Once you have created a file based even in CMC > Events> System Events and made a work around program to delete the file once the event is trigged all you would need to do in webi is in launchpad just schedule > Events > select the file based event from all available system events. Here is a screenshot how to make a report run based on a event..

  • Is it possible to create a generic report that accepts the SQL as a param

Is it possible to create a generic report that accepts the FULL sql statement as a paramater and returns variable results based on this?
We have a requirement to have a generic export routine to spit out csv's from clicking on a web page hyperlink, which would need to accept a "new" sql statement for every run, each containing different columsn etc that would be needed in the output.
I was hoping could have a generic Oracle report, exporting delimited data format (and as such not using a layout) and somehow pass in the "new" sql statement as a parameter at run time - each sql statement would be different with different columns etc.
Is this possible with oracle reports ?
    thanks

If you need a simple dump of data you could try writing a report with a simple query such as
select 'Report title or column headers'
    from dual
    &data_query
then your &data_query parameter could be
    union select col1||','||col2 from data_table
If you are outputing a comma separated data dump the you can concatenate together your data into a single text field.
This would allow you to have a simple heading followed by the actual data. I guess you could extend this so that the 'Report title or column headers' from the first query was also a parameter to output your row headings i.e.
    select :column_headings_text
    from dual
    &data_query
Give it a go and good luck

  • Possiblity of STO delivery in foreground

    Hello Friends.
    Point 1
I am creating delivery against STO in background after getting the due list from VL10B. Client is insisting not to do the background delivery. They are asking for the same kind of option of creating delivery as against VL10E.
Is it possible to create STO delivery in fore ground. If yes, then please guide me how to do it. If not, can I get any sap note which confirms this thing which I can show to my client.
    Point 2
I am determining batch during the delivery creation. During batch splitting system is giving the batch no & corresponding batch qty. while doing the picking I am entering manually the picking quantity against respective batch no & batch qty. From few threads in forum I noticed that this manual entry of pick qty has to be done. But client is insisting to have automatic entry of pick qty against batch qty.
If this manual entry of pick qty is the standard sap practice, can I get any write up or note from SAP which I can show to my client.
    Regards
    Debesh

    Hi All,
Can you please advice on this issue. is there any SAP note regarding this issue.(I tried but could not find anyone)
    Thanks.

  • Using Adobe Acrobat - Is it possible to execute JavaScript to report to LMS to track pdf was viewed?

Question:  Using Adobe Acrobat - Is it possible to execute JavaScript to report to LMS to track pdf was viewed?
What I would like to do is to create a pdf with an Acknowledgement button that when click will report (via JavaScript) to the LMS (Learning Management System) that the end user viewed/acknowledged the pdf.
Can this be down with JavaScript in this fashion?

Thanks, (My fault, as I should have specified this.) Due to legacy reasons I need to use ie, and so I can't use the PrintPdf firefox plugin. So from reading the rest of that thread, the best method does seem to be to get hold of a copy of acrobat, and add a Print() script in each file, and open it in a new tab.
At least it gives me somethigin to try anyway :-)

For this, you need to answer the following:-
    a)  where the customer required date is being captured in sale order ?  Is it Requested Delivery Date ??
    b)  If it is RDD, will there be any manual change in that ??  If so, how will you track the changes
I feel, for the above questions, you have to develop a zee table where you need to capture the original delivery date and the change date so that you can compare this with the actual despatch date.
There is no standard report to make use of the requirement what you had narrated.

  • What is "delivery transmission report" checkbox on AS2 receiver adapter?

    Hi Gurus,
we have an AS2 adapter from seeburger and there is a checkbox on receiver adapter "delivery transmission report". What is this good for?
    Thank you,
    Olian

    Hi Olian,
If you check this box you'll receive a "special transmission report is delivered to the report channel". I know this description is really vague but I've been comparing this transmission report and a delivery report. The delivery report is the MDN itself, referring to whom you've sent the message, the messageID and to the channelID.
    Hope it helps....
