Is is possible to edit to get songs to match pictures in slideshow?

iMac running OSX 10.9.4 on a 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5 27" with 16G RAM and 1TB HD. I have gone though the list of controls on the slideshow menu to no avail. I have pictures of our vacation to New York that are light hearted, but I also have pictures of the Ground Zero and 911 Commemorative Museums that I would like to change the theme music to a Mozart dirge and then back to other songs that better represent what the pictures are about.

What app are you using?
Alternatives to iPhoto's slideshow include:
iMovie is on every Mac sold.
Others, in order of price:
PhotoToMovie $49.95
PulpMotion $129
FotoMagico $99
Final Cut Pro X $299
It's difficult to compare these apps. They have differences in capability - some are driven off templates. some aren't. Some have a wider variety of transitions. Others will have excellent audio controls. It's worth checking them out to see what meets your needs. However, there is no doubt that Final Cut Pro X is the most capable app of them all. You get what you pay for.

• Is it possible to edit multiple songs simultaneously in iTunes?

Does anybody know if it is possible to edit multiple songs in a single pass (by right clicking on all of them and then opening a single edit window or so?). I would like to be able to, for example, change the Genre of 50 songs from Electronica/Dance to Drum 'N Bass without having to do it 50 times over individually for each of the songs.

I've done this before...by selecting the multiple songs, then right clicking and selecting "get info" from the list. You can then change things like the genre, album name, grouping, compilation (Y or N)...and other changes.

• HT204406 The songs on my computer itunes playlist and my iphone playlist songs are not matching up. I do see new songs I've added on my computer playlist on my iphone playlist but the songs are not in the same order. How do I get them to match?

Playlists matching on computer and iphone? The playlists on my computer in itunes are not matching up with the "match" playlist on my iphone. New songs do show up when I add them to a playlist, but the songs are all in different order. If I edit a playlist on my computer how do I get it to match on my iphone?

Restore them to the new computer using the bakcup of the old one. If you don't have a backup of the old computer, you can re-download music purchased from the iTunes store. If they were imported from CD's, etc. You will either have to re-rip them or purchase third party software to extract them from the phone. The iPhone is not a backup or data transfer device.

• I got my ipod to get songs on it and now it wont do it ne more

ok so i had trouble at first getting songs on it and then something came up saying name ur ipod and all that
and not im having trouble getting more songs on it how do u get more songs on it?

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod.
There is very little detail in your post, consequently it's difficult to work out your problem. How is the iPod set to update? Is your iPod appearing even appearing in the Source list? Is it appearing but not updating? Check Preferences, which of the update methods above is it set to?

• Still can not get songs to delete from library.....

I have read through the forums..made sure to try every option available..still I can not get songs to delete from library. Help!!

I am assuming you have tried all the obvious ones, delete key, right-click -> delete, Edit -> Delete, etc. Are you getting an error message when you try to delete? Are you just trying to delete from the library or delete the file as well?

• Getting Songs on Zen MI

can i get songs on my from from places like (deleted). Or do i need something like Napster or iTunes
PS: Edited to remove service nameMessage Edited by Jason-CL on 05-24-2005 03:20 PM

(deleted) etc. are peer-to-peer programs. With them you share files, any kinds of files, and other people download them. If these files are copyright it's illegal to share and download them (OK, before anyone posts, I know it isn't quite as simple as this, but for the sake of argument...).
Napster and iTunes are online music stores which sell you tracks legally. You can't use iTunes with the Micro directly (you'd have to buy the tracks, burn them onto a CD, then create an MP3/WMA from the CD). But Napster, Real Rhapsody, Yahoo Music Unlimited, and many other stores can be used with the Micro. Look for something that allows you to download in WMA or MP3 format, although most stores use WMA.Message Edited by Jason-CL on 05-24-2005 03:2 PM

• Is it possible to edit the alarm popup menu?

I notice that, when I set a new event or to-do, the alarm popup menu has two sections: the top one describes "methods" (Message, Message with Sound, etc.); the bottom one lists a few odd combinations (for example, "Message with sound (Frog) 15 days before").
The items on this second list seem to have been "saved" from earlier choices I made when I set alarms for particular events. But I'd like to edit this list: add certain combinations I like and remove ones I don't use.
Is it possible to do this?
And by the same token, is it possible to edit (add, etc.) options in the popup menus for those little screens that actually "perform" the alarm (stating the message)?
Thanks,
Stuart Sherman

The 1st question might be able to be partially addressed by deleting the preferences files (resetting the defaults)? I'm assuming Apple set some defaults. Alternatively (or additionally) a call to 800-apl-care might get you more info.
The 2nd question: No way known to me.

• Is it possible to edit .tod files and mini dv files

Is it possible to edit both .tod files (jvc everio gz hd 7) and files captured from mini dv tapes on same timeline, either in imovie 6 or imovie 8?

However, the problem now is: the JVC footage is wide screen 16:9 (so black stripes top and bottom of screen), and the mini dv is 4:3. How do I get a movie out using either widescreen of 4:3?
You will have to make two decisions. This first is which aspect ratio to use: 16:9, 4:3, or 3:2. The second is whether to use a "Fit" within or "Crop" strategy for mixing the two. The "Fit" option will letterbox or pillar the clip(s) which do not match the aspect ratio. The "Crop" option will fill the screen and crop off the overages. You can however, set the viewing area of the cropped clip(s) using the "Crop" preview window. If the center of attention remains fairly constant throughout the clip, this latter option may work for you. If not, then you may have to "fit" the clip if you don't want to miss anything.

Is it possible to edit properties from WebDAV? Like content.xml in CRXDE?

A simple hardware way :
Use a home DVD player - connect audio and video(YC) outputs to a Canopus AD 100 converter - connect the firewire of the AD100 to your Mac - open log and capture in FCP (select non controllable device) - play the DVD with your remote control - pause - then click capture now - play the DVD. You will get directly DV files on your hard disk.
This way you won't get headache. Software way is also available (just write to me : [email protected]

Select the items you want to uncheck. In your case, click on any item and then do a Select All (from the Edit menu or Cmd-A on keyboard). Right-click on selection and select Uncheck Selection.

• Possible to edit recording created through LSMW?

I created a Batch Input Recording through LSMW. In the recording, a node has got created which doesn't have an OKCode. As a result, when I process the recording, the transaction halts in between due to lack of OKCode (I have pasted a part of the recording at the bottom. The node in Bold Italic is the problem.)
In order to overcome this issue, I have to edit the recording & remove the node completely. OR I could create an OKCode entry (for an ENTER press) in the node. But I am not able to edit the recording. I am only able to add & delete Screen fields. OKCode not being a Screen field is not available for addition.
Does LSMW not give the functionality to edit recordings at all? If it so, how can I use an edited recording created through SHDB in LSMW?
A partial view of the recording follows:
>>>SAPLOIRB_APP03 321
BDC_CURSOR ROIRB0320-VALID_FROM
BDC_OKCODE                     =ENTE
ROIRB0320-STATUS
ROIRB0320-VALID_FROM
>>>SAPMOIFA 0165
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
>>>SAPMOIFA 0165
BDC_OKCODE                     =SAVE
BDC_SUBSCR SAPMOIFA
BDC_CURSOR OIFSPBL-PBLNR

I went ahead & completed remaining all the LSMW steps. Then I processed the created session in foreground & tracked the OKCode on each screen.
It ran perfectly upto the screen prior to the problematic node. When it got to processing the problematic node, the OKCode command dialog box remained empty. This is perfectly understandable since in the recording itself there is no line item for OKCode. Unfortunately, it did not skip processing and move onto the next node which had a 'SAVE' OKCode.
This is where the transaction halted & manual intervention was required.
Coming back to square one, I have to somehow get rid of the node or find a way to insert a OKCode line item into the recording.
Did SAP tell you that it not possible to edit an LSMW recording? It is not possible to use an SHDB recording in LSMW either?

• Best Way to Edit Audio / mix songs / Change Pitch / ...?

I want to do some basic audio editing -- chopping off tails of songs, maybe mixing one song into another, speeding up the pitch of a song to match others in a mix, etc.
I get the feeling that iTunes isn't really the answer and maybe GarageBand is too much (or at least too complex for me to go digging around unless I know what I'm trying to do).
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi,
There's also Sound Studio, but it's more expensive than Amadeus.
It can be used for recording vinyl to digital, merging, mixing, cutting, and it's very simple and accessible.
Cheers,

• IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRANSFER MY IPOD SONGS TO MY ITUNES??

My computer was cleaned out by a computer dr because of a caught virus. All my programs including itunes were erased so i had to redownload itunes. Now all the songs from my original itunes are still on my ipod but not in my new itunes.
My new itunes only has a few of my previous purchases(not even all of them)and my new purchases.
When i plug in my ipod i get a pop up to either erase my ipod and transfer my itunes into the ipod, but all my songs are on my ipod.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRANSFER MY IPOD SONGS TO MY ITUNES??
ps.when i plug my ipod into my computer it does not show up as plugged into itunes and the ipod then freezes with the DO NOT DISCONNECT and i am forced to let the battery die bc this is the only way for it to turn off.
ps again. i received a new ipod nano a few days ago and will be using that instead of my 5th generation one, but the 5th gen. one still holds all my songs!!HELP PLEASE!!i know my problem is big

Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod.
The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

iPod2PC Windows Only
iGadget Windows Only
iDump Windows Only
SharePod Windows Only
iPodRip Mac & Windows
YamiPod Mac and Windows
Music Rescue Mac & Windows
iPodCopy Mac and Windows
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.
