Is is possible to sync individual TV shows?

Anyone know if it's possible to sync individual TV shows, as opposed to the whole folder? With the limited space on the iTouch, seems like there should be a way to select individual TV shows. Anyone? And thanks in advance.

Just manage all manually, music and videos. This way you can add to and delete from Touch music, videos and TV shows at wish.

  • How do I sync individual TV shows from a whole season on my iphone?

I purchased the entire season of a TV show, but when I can't figure out how to get only chosen episodes on my iphone (unless I choose "sync lastest episode" or "unwatched") I want to be able to choose a specific episode to upload to phone, but in the video tab in my iphone, the individual shows are not displayed, only "season one". What am I missing here?
    thx in advance.

    You have two choices.
    1. Manually manage your music and videos and drag what you want onto the phone. This will mean you have to also drag all the music you want onto the iPhone.
    2. Make a new playlist in iTunes (Shows to Sync or something). Drag the episodes you want into the playlist. Select as shown here:

  • TV Series - Can not Sync Individual Shows

I purchased The Universe TV Series from the iTunes Store. When I try to Sync it with my iPhone, I can only check the series button marked "The Universe."
I would like to know how to Sync only the episodes that I like and not something that iTunes picks to sync. How do I Sync specific episodes of this series?
    Kevin

It's probably cause you watched the TV show on your computer so it counts the show as watched and it won't sync it. To fix this, right click the TV show in iTunes and click "mark as new" then sync your iPod and it should work. You could also go to the TV show sync settings on your iPod (when hooked up to the computer) and tell it to sync all TV shows instead of unwatched ones.

  • Is it possible to Sync an iPod (or iPhone) with a Shared Library?

I know this is a silly, basic question, but 6:30 AM is just too early for me to keep digging for the answer.
So, I have several computers at home. ONE of them is used to purchase and store all of my iTunes music. This same computer is used to sync several iPods. The entire library on this computer is shared. Two other computers in the house are Authorized on the same account and regularly play music stored on the "first" computer.
    So here's the rub.
My duaghter just got a new iPhone. She has her own MAC. I'd like her to begin using her own computer to sync her iPod and iPhone.
Is it possible to sync her iPod and iPhone using HER computer (that is authorized on my account) and MY shared library?

I don't think it is possible to sync an ipod to a shared library for copyright reasons. Sharing is great and simple for accessing and listening to other computer's music over a network, but to sync your ipod - I believe can only be done from that particular itune's music library. But here's how I work around this so that I don't have to have my 90 GB Music Folder copied on multiple computers:
Copy these files from your main computer (the one that has and controls your master itunes library) into the same location on any other computer on your network (say your daughter's computer): user/music/itunes/iTunes Music Library.xml & iTunes Library. Before copying them over to daughter's computer, remove the old files (maybe keep somewhere else just in case) and have itunes shut down. Then start up itunes on your daughter's computer and it should look identical to the main computer's itunes (and the same as the shared library). What you've esentially done is created a separate itunes library data base that can be managed on your daughter's computer but one that accesses the same actual music files that are on the main computer's Music Folder. To check go to Preferences/Advanced and you'll see that the Music Folder location is pointing to the same file as on the main computer (whose Music Folder is now being used as a sort of network music despository). You'll notice that when your daughter's computer starts itunes and plays a song, the main computer's hard drive where the Music Folder is stored will mount on her computer. So the main computer obviously has to be turned on, or more accurately, the location of the Music Folder (could be on an external hard drive) must be accessible over the network. Your duaghter can now create her own spearate playlists and sync her ipod to her own library which is accessing the same song files (Music Folder) as the main computer. And both of you can be playing from itunes at the same time independantly.
Here's the tricky part that takes some coordintation: Since you'll both be accessing and adding to the same huge Music Folder, you'll need to coordinate with eachother if you want to be able to have each computer's itunes database "see" any music that the other person has added or purchased. For purchasing or adding music to the music folder, both of you should have in Preferences/Advanced the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" selection checked when purchasing music or adding music via burning. If your daughter, for example, buys an album and has this preference selected, then it will go to the Music Folder and she will have access to it. But the other computer doesn't know that this was added to the music folder and it won't show up in that computer's itunes. For itunes to knwo a song is in it's Music Library it has to add it to it. SO, from this other computer, go to File/Add to Library and navigate to the location within the Music Folder and then select the newly purchased album and it will now show up in this itunes as well - BUT before you do this you should UNcheck the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" preference so that the album is not duplicated in the Music Folder. Then if this computer wants to purchase an album, you need to have this checked again. Basically if your doing the original adding you have to have the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" checked. If your simply letting your itunes know that something was added then have the "copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to Library" unchecked before you add it to your library. And if someone creates a playlist that the other wants, you can still share eachother's libraries (even though your accessing the same Music Folder) or even export the playlist and import it into the other computer.
Sounds tricky but it's actually pretty easy and allows each person to sort of control his/her itunes and sync their own ipods/iphones all from the same Music Folder.

  • How do I sync individual contacts with Facebook?

On iOs6, on the iPhone 5, how does one sync individual contacts with Facebook? I don't wish to use the sync all contacts feature, as it adds thousands of Facebook friends to my contact list. I simply wish to connect the contacts already in my address book.

I realize this is really old, but on the off chance of you never having found a way, I figured I'd pop in with something actually useful unlike this Raz fella.
I couldn't figure out a way to do it without connecting to facebook at all, but here is what I did:
    1. Connect to facebook.
    2. Update contacts.
    3. Click groups and uncheck facebook contacts.
Now contacts which are only on the phone because of facebook will not show up, and yet the others will have been connected.
If a specific person does not connect properly to facebook, add their FACEBOOK EMAIL (found in their about section) to the email section of contacts and again go to the facebook settings and click update contacts. This should connect that person.

  • HT1766 iPhone 4s; Is it possible to sync apps to icloud without using the touchscreen?

I've been using my iphone 4S with a cracked screen for over three months now (it fell on a tile floor hitting the top front corner first, 5 weeks after I got it) without any issues. Tonight I dropped it from a height of about 8 inches and the part of the face that was cracked made first contact with something that was on a table I was standing at, jamming it further into the phone. When I picked it up I noticed a small piece had also fallen out near an intersection of the cracks. The touchscreen is now completely black.
My question: Is it possible to sync my apps to the icloud without using the iphone touchscreen? I plan I getting a new phone and had my icloud setup to sync my mail, contacts and calendars. I've been able to download all my pictures and video to my computer.

Getting/reinstalling the apps isn't a problem. I'm only concerned with the data that is stored within them. For instance I have a mileage tracker I've been using but haven't uploaded the data from the phone to back it up anywhere. I'd like to do that before getting a new phone but I can't see what i'm doing due to the screen not working.
The phone is actually still working and I've been able to use Siri to make calls and send texts without a working screen. The screen still accepts inputs apparently so if I could return settings to factory settings I could theoretically use another phone side by side to show me exactly where I need to touch and when to back up my applications to iClould.
Going forward, I actually had ordered another case before my accident as my current case doesn't provide enough protection. It'd be nice if Apple actually made an iphone that didn't need such band-aids for normal usage.

  • Is it possible to sync my mail folders/boxes between Mac mail and iPhone?

Is it possible to sync my mail folders/boxes between Mac mail and iPhone? ie. I get an email on my iphone but I also read it and store it On My Mac folders.  Is there a way this can be set up 'same' on my iphone...then I would only need to read my mail one place? Same as my iPad...I'm tired of doing the same step 3 times ONLY because my folders are only on my MAC

IMAP is a mail protocol. Your email provider must support it (most regular ISPs do not). If your mail provider supports IMAP then when you create an account on the iPhone choose "IMAP" when prompted. You cannot convert a POP3 account to IMAP; you must delete it and re-create it. But first check to see if your provider supports it. Microsoft Exchange works similarly to IMAP, but has the added feature of "pushing" mail to your phone within seconds of it being received.
With IMAP and Exchange the master copy of all mail remains on the server until deleted. Your computer(s) and iPhone sync with the server, so all of your devices will show the same messages. When you delete from one the message will be removed from all with the next sync (or immediately for Exchange).

me and my girlfriend have 2 iPhones i want them to sync individually not together same apple id

Keep your shared AppleID for iTunes purchases, but use separate iCloud accounts for syncing.   would suggest also using the separate accounts for iMessage.

  • Is there any way to sync Outlook for Mac with iPhone? I have tried everything but not successful. Apple says it is not possible to sync contacts from Outlook for Mac to iPhone 5. Any help will be much appreciated.

Is there any way to Sync contacts from Outlook for Mac to iPhone 5? Apple support says that only iTune can only sync contacts from "Contact" which is the default contact of Mac. If one is running Outllok on a Mac machine then it is not possible to sync the contacts with iPhone. It is strange that Apple distributors are promoting and offering machines with promise that Windows users can now run MS Office on Mac machines without any problem. While this is true, it is so strange that one cannot sync the contacts from MacBook Pro to iPhone5. If someone has found a way to sync contacts from Outlook to iPhone 5 please help as it is very frustrating to not be able to sync the contacts. Thanks, Amit.

  • Is it possible to sync one iPhone to two Macs? One for the music library and one for contacts, emails etc

At home I have two Macs, one for work and another which acts as a sort of entertainment hub storing all my music, podcasts and videos as well as being for the family to use.
Is it possible to sync my one iPhone to both Macs, with the work one just syncing things like my contacts, emails, calendars and apps while the other Mac would sync just the podcasts and music to the iPhone.
Would this cause any problems and what is the correct way to go about this?
Thanks for any help, tips and advice.

As wjosted said, it's possible, but it's not recommended.
Email does not sync with a computer. Only email account information is. Mail itself is synced with the mail server.
Why not just sync with the computer you keep your media on and use iCloud (or whatever cloud service you want) to sync the rest? Seems simpler to me.

  • IPhone 4s set to manually sync, but every time I try to put a single song on my phone it downloads my entire library. How do I sync individual songs without downloading entire iTunes library?

I recently purged my iPhone 4S of most of its music because I didn't have enough gigabytes of free space to download the latest iOS (my phone was actually completely full). That ticked me off but I didn't have time for a backup. I transferred all purchases to my library and I deleted the music from my phone.
Since then, I've been annoyed that I don't have all my music but I've been enjoying the free space that I have, so I prefer to restore songs from my library individually now, depending what I'm in the mood to hear, and I don't miss having a full phone.
However, whenever I try to manually sync music that was ripped from a CD, music I didn't download from iTunes, but is playable in my iTunes library, iTunes thinks it has to download the entire library, which I don't even have the space for, anyway. However, my iPhone seems fine wirelessly (I have Home Sharing turned on) syncing individual songs which were purchased in the iTunes store.
So whenever I try to sync a single song, or an album perhaps, which was not purchased on iTunes, I get the message "updating files on iphone" and it says it's copying all the thousands of songs in my entire library. But my settings are for manual sync only. I wind up cancelling the sync every time, because I would have to wait for it to finish copying thousands of songs before it got to the one I selected. Why on earth is it doing this?
How do I regain the ability to sync a single song at a time?
    This has been exasperating me.

While your iPhone is synching in iTunes, do the following:
    1.  Click on your iPhone's icon on the left.
    2.  Find and click on the "Tones" tab on the upper right of the iTunes display.
    3.  Choose the synch option you would like.
