Is it 3D graphic in apple commercials??

Hello
I recently read the article about shooting commercials of apple product.
http://www.theverge.com/2013/5/8/4311868/the-illusion-of-simplicity-photographer -peter-belanger-on-shooting
Surprisingly, photos of commercials or homepage are not just a 3D rendering.
What I need to know is, whether the images of iphone 5 in the "iphone 5 official video" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNM8XyMH5qw) which was played in 2012 special event, september, is also "real picture" or 3D rendering.
I'm attatching screen shots of the video which I want to know if real picture or 3d rendering.
Of course, I know it's been re-touched or color-adjusted after taken evenif it's real picture.
What I want to know is whether the screenshots im attatching is based on "real" video of the product, or just totally 3D graphics which is made by computer without camera.
ps, honestly I'm not sure this forum can help me with this issue.
If it doesn't help with this issue, could you tell me which department I should ask to for help??
Thanks!

Nobody here can possible speak for Apple whether it is a warranty failure or not.  You need to take it into an Apple store or send it to Apple and have them evaluate it.  If they decide it is a warranty failure and you are still within your warranty period, then yes, it will be replaced with a factory refurbished unit for free.
If it is determined to be due to something you have done, then the warranty does not apply and you would have to pay the out of warranty replacement fee.

  • Create a video like apple commercials (white background)

    Hello All,
I would like to create a video of myself speaking for 10 minutes.
All i want is to look like apple commercials on TV, where the background is all white and there is a small dark shade.
Anyone can explain me how to do this, what program could I use, and what are the steps (if not so hard)...
Thank you very much for your help in advance,
    Ezequiel.

    no program ..
a studio, a white cove, 'some' light and a Director of Photography..
seriously: these recordings are done by highly experienced pros .. for sure, you can build a white cove in your apartment, use indirect ( ! ) build-lights, set the exposure manually on your camcorder.. but if that poor-man's-solution has the same quality as Apple's $$$.$$$ ads.. ?

  • Saving Apple Commercials & other videos

I used to be able to save all Apple Commercials and other videos on the Apple website in the previous version of Safari because they were in .flv or .swf. I've since bought Macbook Pro 17",Safari 5.0.2 and I can't seem to find a way to save any videos off the Apple website. Snapz Pro works but its too messy. Any ideas most appreciated!!

Hey Andy thanks for responding! I was able to look under View>View Source then word search for either of the Flash formats in the code of the page where the commercial I wanted to save resided. One or the other would show up so I would highlight the entire line starting with "http......" then paste it in Safari's URL window and it would just load the commercial only. Then I would save it in QT Pro in any format offered. What was cool about that is that all the different resolutions that the commercial was available in were all listed in the "View Source" window so you could pick and choose which to download.
I give Firefox a try! The Last version my technique worked in was 10.4.11.
    Cheers!

  • Graphic design & Apple

Which graphic designer is responsible for Apples company profile looks and branding in general?

    Hi Zoran --
It's highly doubtful that anyone here will know the answer to your question, not only because this is a user-to-user technical discussions board, but perhaps even more so because you posted in the "Feedback About New Discussions" forum, a forum that is intended for questions about how to use Apple Discussions and for general constructive feedback about how the Discussions system is operating or how it may be improved.
IMO, you're best off putting the question to the people best capable of answering it: write or call Apple's corporate offices here:
    1 Infinite Loop
    Cupertino, CA 95014
    408.996.1010
    Good luck.

  • Exporting graphics for Apple iPhone / iPad

Hi, I'm putting together my first App for the iPhone and I have a question when it comes to exporting my graphics from Photoshop. I have looked all over the web place and I can't find a direct answer, I hoped that someone might have an idea in here?
My psd has the embedded colour profile - CHROMiX iPhone Aug08 as I have been advised to use from the web. From here all I want to do is export the graphic. I am exporting as a PNG-24. The exported graphic is either slightly washed out or much much darker. As this is my first time in doing it I don't know which is right, nor do I know why I am getting two different results.
My current colour settings is set to Europe General Purpose
The psd has been assigned the Chromix profile
When I export for web as a PNG, sRGB is NOT ticked.
Any ideas? Please! I am getting nowhere with this....

  • Why did apple ditch the light up apple logo

the light up apple logo is on the apple stores, all apple laptops and has been in apple commercials dedicated to the stickers that hi light on the light up apple logo but now with the new macbook there is no light just a cold hard metal dark and unexciting.

My understanding is that Apple does not require payment when their products are used in shows. That would be the opposite of advertising. Normally, product placement works the other way around: the show is paid, not the advertiser. If the Apple logo is hidden in a show, it is usually because the producers do not wish to appear that they are endorsing any particular product. Unlike other products used on set, the Apple logo is so prominent that it is a challenge to genericize without covering it up.
Most of the reasoning in this thread doesn't make sense. It isn't because the light is too intrusive, and it isn't just the converted that like it. Those are sweeping generalizations.
It is much more likely that the non-glowing Apple logo on the new MacBook is just a regular Apple evolution of style. For example, the three colors in the MacBook are new to the Mac line, but they are identical to the iPhone/iPad line. Well guess what, the Apple logo has never glowed in the iPhone/iPad line. Therefore Apple may have simply decided to bring over the non-glowing Apple logo from the iOS devices to the Mac, just as they brought over the colors and brought over many of iOS user interface conventions to OS X.

  • Apple Commercial Songs?

Hello everyone! Does anyone know a site where I can go to find out all the songs used in all Apple Commercials? I love the songs they use and would like to download them from iTunes. Just like the new iPod Nano commercial has the 1234 song by Feist but what about previous iPod Commercials and just Apple commercials in general? Like iMac, iPhone, Etc.
    Thanks everyone!

Awesome thanks! That helps for the iPod commercial songs. Anyone know of any other site where they list others songs used for other Apple products such as iPhone, Apple TV, Etc.?

  • Has Apple foresaken OpenCL

Hi all: With the release of the new 13 inch MacBook Pro having only Intel integrated graphics, is Apple giving up on OpenCL, something they made a BIG DEAL about with the release of Snow Leopard?

Similar question I just had, only I'm wondering if the new line, including the higher end ones with AMD chips, even support OpenCL. I don't suppose there's any benchmark tests out there just for OpenCL, are there?
    Google:
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/32266/opencl-benchmark
Now, perhaps Google will present me with an article where the OpenCL performance of the previous generation systems are compared to this one...

  • BEST SETUP - working with graphics only

Hi, I edit commercials in FCP. Since we usually shoot footage in DV, I have the NTSC/DV 48K setting as my default setup...
But sometimes we create strictly graphics commercials with no video whatsoever...
So I was wondering if I should use a different easy setup to get better/sharper/smoother looking graphics for these commercials?
If it helps, I have a deck (nothing fancy) which copies directly to Beta SP via firewire from FCP.
    Thanks

Something else I noticed while I played around with field dominance...
My graphics look so much better when on NONE... Not only on my computer screen, but on my TV screen as well...
but video (on my computer screen) looks worse, while on the TV set it looks the same...
So should I go by whats on my computer screen or the TV screen?
Because basically, whats on my TV screen is what gets copied onto the BETA SP tape...
My TV screen is not a professional viewing screen...
Will I run into any trouble with broadcasting?

  • Apple Mac Pro 2008 dual 2.8ghz quad core

    Hey guys,
Ive got a real brain teaser. I have a apple mac pro 2008 dual 2.8ghz quad core that wont boot.
The leds on the memory test good its all tested in another mac and working well.
The 9 leds are reading as follows 2nd led lit yellow. Led 9,8,7 Green- which from my research is good.
Ive also reset the cmos battery and vram, nothing.
Pulled the memory and video card and re-seated them also nothing.
The last thing i tryed was shut the computer down sit for 30 seconds then held alt and got the install mac os screen not a hard drive option.
Which leads me to think its not seeing the hard drive?
    Any suggestions?

    Starts up with fans
    Makes the apple chime
The chime is generated in software when the first portion of the power-on self test has passed.Your Mac is working and has enough working RAM memory to start up.
You still may have problems with drives, the software on those drives, or your graphics card.
    apple logo comes up
The dark gray Apple is loaded by the ROM boot loader in the first blob of software (before the file system is initialized). Its presence indicates your Mac can get some stuff off a Hard Drive, and seeing it indicates your graphic card can display something in a primitive way.
with spinning gear and just sits there for hours
It is stuck booting up something. Verbose Mode (hold Command-V at startup) will show you the parade of messages. The last five will tell you what happened.

  • Driver upgrade for AMD Radeon 5770 Graphics Card

I have a 2008 Mac Pro, running OSX 10.8.5. Just installed AMD Radeon 5770 graphics card (Apple says this isn't supported; users I read said it works despite what Apple says in knowledge article (http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3477). When I restarted, the system said my card was a Radeon HD 5000, not 5770. AMD's web site not clear about driver upgrade (and I believe I have to do this, since I took out the old graphics card (ATI Radeon HD 2600 that came with the Mac Pro at purchase). Didn't get a clear answer, yet, from Apple support. Anyone experience this? Does anyone know which driver to manually download from AMD's site? It's not clear, and they also suggested, talk to Apple to get driver support. Here's where I went, and found the choice not clearly mapped out for the Mac (and their autodetect software works only for XP:
    -and here: http://www.official-drivers.com/installer/?seed=ati&gclid=CJeA0M_1u7wCFVhufgod4Q MAcQ.
    Thanks.

RE: Mac Pro silver tower (2006-2012) Replacement Graphics cards
    1) Apple brand cards,
    2) "sold in the Apple store" cards, and
    3) "Mac Edition" cards ...
... show all the screens, including Boot up screens, Safe Mode, Installer, Recovery, debug screens, and Alt/Option boot screens. At this writing, these choices include:
    1) Apple brand cards:
    • Apple-firmware 5770, about US$250** works near full speed in every model Mac Pro, Drivers in 10.6.5. (This card has just been discontinued and is no longer available from Apple dealers. There may be some new, old stock still available at resellers)
    • Apple-firmware 5870, about US$450
    2) "sold in the Apple store" cards
    • NVIDIA Quadro 4000 Fermi, about US$1200
    • NVIDIA Quadro K5000 Kepler, about US$2500
    3) "Mac Edition" cards -- REQUIRE 10.8.3 or later:
    • SAPPHIRE HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 MAC Edition, about US$480** Vendor recommends Mac Pro 4,1
    • EVGA GTX 680 Mac Edition, about US$600
The cards above require no more than the provided two 6-pin aux power connectors provided in the Mac Pro through 2012 model. Aux cables may not be provided for third-party cards, but are readily available.
If you are Meet ALL of these:
    • running 10.8.3 or later AND
    • don't care about "no boot screens" etc AND
    • can re-wire or otherwise "work out" the power cabling, THEN:
You can use many more cards, even most "PC-only cards".
    One more thing--
Flashed PC cards: There are a good many EFI flashed cards that offer boot screens and behave like official cards. "for more information about using and flashing non-Apple cards, please check out the various sites like Netkas (and others) that focus on and discuss what is known and available. (Not supported or endorsed by Apple.)"
