Is it a bug in N73ME New FW?
After try a lot to get it done correctly with N73ME FW 4.0727.2.2.1. It still does not work like the old FW. All autostart applications messed up. I tried every which way; including re-install FW twice also all my software twice. I can not solve the problem. It will happen at the certain point after install some more softwares or take them out. Phone will start without all autostart applications won't start and my phone will mess up. Those applications are Handy Autokeylock, F-Secure mobile security, Phone Guardian, Handy Task Manager and FS Caller. All of those are latest version on web. I am using a 2GB Transcend 80X MiniSD. All those applications installed on phone memory. What worng with it?
Please help me out!!

After updating my Bios to the new version, the motherboard detect my CPU(Athlon 2400+) as a 1800+.

I'm not a novice, i mounted more than 300 computers for my clients, and
around 30 of last 50 computers are with MSI Motherboards.
Cpu Fsb for Athlon 2400+ is 133 but the ddr/fsb is 4:5 because i'm using
DDR 333 and the K7N2-V (MS-6729) is DDR 400 ready.
With all MSI motherboards i mounted, it’s enough to put the correct CPU
FSB and (Auto) to detect everything by the SPD.
Certainly it's a BUG with the new version because the Bios and Windows
detect CPU as Athlon 1800+ (1500) instead of 2400+ (20000.

downloaded 11.0.3 (42) 64 bit to my MacBook Pro and it crashes every time I select a song a use the 'add to' function to add to a play list. It's never done this before, is it a bug with the new version?
You could just disable updates. Change these settings in about:config.
* app.update.auto - set to false
* app.update.enabled - set to false
You can still check for updates with the "Check for Updates" button in the About Firefox window, but it will download the update file anyway if there is an update available. You can also check which is the current release from here:

Bugs in the new 3D graph (LV 8.6)
I already posted this report in the Breakpoint board, breaking the rules...
Therefore this is not exactly a duplicate post, since it should allow some discussion.
I just downloaded LV 8.6, as I could not wait to have a look at the new long time awaited 3D graphs primitives, said to run also on MacOS. This is a GREAT new feature. The 3D surface graph works great, but I also found some new bugs (probably known already by the development team since they are pretty obvious, but who knows...).
Additionnaly, I enjoy the idea that this seems to be the first LV 8.6 bug report in this forum.
OK, here we go : (all the bugs have been found on a WindowXP machine)
1 - As shown in the attached picture, a transparent cursor plane hide the 3D surface graph (but shows the axis)
2 - As shown on the same picture, the boundaries of a cursor plane are locked to the axis values defined by the axis autoscale mode. The cursor plane appears much wider than the axis.
3 - While in "perspective" mode, when the 3D indicator size is changed the graph switches to "orthographic" mode. An access to the property window is required to return to "perspective" mode.
4 - after an access to the property window, the graph (perspective mode) in the Render window is streched to fit the window area, but returns back to a normal aspect ratio as soon as the window size is slightly changed.
5 - As shown in the second attached picture, after a slight modification of the window size, the 3D surface is chopped of during a zoom-in.
6 - When the 3D indicator size is streched, the graph is also streched. That gives the graph a poor look during rotation. In the old 3D activeX the aspect ratio of the graph was preserved.
7 - (Not a bug, but a major lack of functionnality) I could not find a way to draw a 3D surface and a line on the same graph. This is easy with the old ActiveX and is a very usefull function when you want to represent the trajectory of an object moving onto a surface.
8 - (Not a bug, but a strong inconvenience) A predefined color spectrum is lacking
9 - (Not a bug, but a minor inconvenience) No logarithmic mode for the axis scales

3D graph (LV 8.6) bug 5.png 129 KBI wasn't studious enough : adding a line (problem #7 above) is easy : just drop another 3D graph on the front panel, this will brings in a new create_plot_line.vi on the diagram. Get rid of the additionnal 3D graph indicator, and wire the previous one to the new vi. See the attached graph, where two yellow lines have been drawn on each side the base of the peaks.
Not yet possible to change the line thickness, but works nicely.
I now have to customize my function palette to make the "native 3D graphs" directly accessible.
One additionnal concern though : with the old ActiveX, it was possible (if not simple... ) to insert functionnal 3D graphs in Powerpoint presentations (see this thread). Is there any way to achieve a similar result with the native 3D graphs ?

A potential bug on the new feature (12c) of Identity Column?

I am testing a newly introduced feature of Identity Column in Oracle 12c. I used EclipseLink (JPA) to access the database.
I may have found a potential bug with this feature. I am getting "ORA-30667: cannot drop NOT NULL constraint on a DEFAULT ON NULL column" when I try to insert a row. My code doesn't explicitly drop "NOT NULL" constraint.
When I delete all the tables under the user and re-define the user and the tables, the error disappear.

Hello, It's about location things in editing the movie.
1) Select the theme 'simple' thing.
2) Double-tap a clip and select 'subject style'thing.
3) Tap 'opening' and insert the subject.
4) Tap twice and tap 'location'.
5) Edit the location name. e.g., '2011.3.13'
6) Then, split a clip into two clips.
7) Tap twice on second, behind, or splited clip. (what the **** is the correct language in this thing? I don't know it in my mother language either. I just named it 'the second clip'.)
8) Then, edit the location to another name. e.g., 'When she laughs,'
9) Then, see the first clip. It's also changed with the second clip. It's same when I edit the first clip, it changes the second clip, too.
10) You can prevent this bug through, when edit the location name on second clip, tap 'locate button'(a button which can tell where here is), and change the location name.
11) Then, you can see the first clip and second clip have different location name.
When I make my movie, I use the 'opening style subject' on two clips. Both of the big subject have a name of that video, or characters. Usually I take the character's name on big subject.
And for the small subject, on the first one, I put the date when I took it. On the second clip, I put the location or tell the content of the movie, like 'sub-subject'.

And, I want PRECISION EDITOR RIGHT ON MY iPHONE. I promise, to buy the new iPad and I can use that function on my iPad, as soon as it ships? shipped? in my country. I loved the iPad but it's too old when it shipped on my country. iPad 2 is new, as you very well know.
But I'll not use the iPad on my way to get around. For 20~60 seconds of video, I don't need that 4x big iPhone without phone. Okay? It's too much and I love apple's things because they are absolutely not 'too much', it's easy to use. Why you just disabled that very best cool thing on really cool app of iMovie, on that very smart phone? I really disappointed on it. Don't do that stupid thing again.

This is Korean version. If you have some Korean engineers, use this script and tell that iMovie makers. It'll be better than that rough English.
테마 '심플함'으로 선택해서, 제목 넣을 때 오프닝으로 선택하고, 위치에 바로 내 맘대로 이름을 넣습니다. 그러고 나서 클립을 자르고, 뒷쪽 또는 두번째 클립을 선택합니다. 그러고 다른 이름을 바로 적어 넣으면, 앞의 잘려서 따로 있어야 할 클립의 위치 이름 또한 바뀝니다. 첫번째 클립의 이름을 바꿔넣어도 마찬가집니다. 이러면 제가 '위치'를 넣는 위치에 다른 것을 넣고 싶어도 계속 엉뚱한 부분이 바뀌니 미치는거죠. 그런데 '여기찍는' 버튼을 누른 다음 위치 이름을 바꾸면 또 앞의 클립과 뒤의 클립의 위치 이름이 달라질 수 있습니다. 그렇다면 같이 바뀌던 건 분명히 버그입니다.

Is chroma bug solved in new version of AME5.5 when transcoding to ProRes?
About a year ago I had posted to the forums about a "chroma bug" observed by me and others when using Adobe Media Encoder v.5.0.1 to transcode AVCHD to Pros Res 422. It would result in chroma bleed and a softer image versus a sharper transcode using Apple's Compressor. I have attached a link here to my previous posting which shows jpeg images of what AME v.5.0.1 was doing to the image.

I would download a trial version of the new Adobe Media Encoder 5.5 (but I believe because it's a trial version that they disable transcoding from AVCHD feature).
Are there any current users of AME 5.5 out there encoding to Pro Res? If so, what have been your results?
My hope is that this chroma bug issue is solved for v.5.5 but I really have no definitive way to test it unless I purchase the upgrade...as the trial version won't allow me to transcode from AVCHD.
The catch 22 is that I didn't want to purchase the upgrade until I knew the bug was fixed. I reported it to Adobe at the time of my initial posting but received no feedback or acknowledgement of the issue. Most of my editing is done in Pro Res rather than natively...hence this is an important item for me.

Sure it will. The CS5.5 trial now has all MPEG limitations removed, so you can fully work with all supported formats for 30 days in the trial.
I seem to recall reading something about the chroma sampling bug being fixed, or at least, improved. But give the trial a shot and you'll know for sure. -

Mavericks bugs: open in new tab, slow type, slow Safari, slow wake
I just upgraded to Mavericks in order to get Pages, which I needed for a project. Otherwise, Lion was working fine. Now, Safari seems slow, it often won't do the open in new tab click, it's slow sometimes when typing things in the web address area, and it has a slow wake-up (everything hangs there in black for a few before it finally wakes up). There's probably more, but those are the problems I've run into so far. Are these bugs that Apple is fixing soon? (Hopefully?!)

Old AppleWorks bug with a new twist
Previously I posted
"After upgrading to 10.5 recently, Appleworks when I select the "recent items" tab, I will hear the drive accessing for 13 seconds then the app disappears. After another 12 seconds I get the "quit unexpectedly" alert box."
I was told this was an old bug and removing deleted files from the recent visit folder stopped the problem. I thought the problem was solved. No.......................
The new twist is the following: I have some sparseimage files that are password protected. If I open the file, Appleworks keeps it in recent visits. Then when the sparseimage file is closed and AppleWorks is opened again, it crashes because it can't find the sparse image file open. BUT, in 10.4.11 under those exact same circumstances, the icon was greyed out but didn't cause a crash. My only solution now is to go into the recent items/starting points folder and delete the sparse image file to keep Appleworks from crashing the next time.
This is a change of behavior between 10.4 and 10.5 and is a royal pain in the behind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have gone the plist route but the only thing that will solve the crashes is to physically delete the alias file in the recent file. Other situations with aliases (except AppleWorks) just say they can't find the original document. Escapes me why these aliases are now handled differently in 10.5 in this specific program.
I have now made startup preferences (and what is seen when a file is closed) to be just showing the open dialogue. I will sacrifice the easy locating of recent files to having to remembering to delete culprit situations/having crashes. -
Minor bug in SMS - New Contact
If someone texts me a phone number, and I want to create a new contact from the sms text, touching "create new contact" initiates facetime instead. If I click add to existing contact, the New contact page is displayed.

IMovie rotation bug when recording new footage
on an iPad open iMovie and start a new movie, holding the iPad portrait click the camera button to record a new video. Is the camera rotation wrong, if you turn the device around to landscape is the rotation still wrong. Now come back to the iMovie screen, now turn your iPad landscape and press the camera button again, it works now right?
is this just happening on my iPad? Or is it doing to others as well.

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing the same issue with the new 2.2 update, but when listening to applications like iSleep or any other type of music playing app, if you flick the silent switch on the music cuts out until you flick it back. Also when the screen times out the music cuts off too.
If this is a bug then this is a pretty serious one! Can anyone share their thoughts on this if they have found a possible work around or experiencing the same.
RegardsYup, same deal here trying to use Flycast after updating to 2.2. Press the sleep/wake button or let it time out and...Presto...no more music.
Now, here's the weird part. Exactly 12 seconds after pressing the button, or letting the the phone auto-lock and go dark, the music starts playing again. I've tried this five times with the same results. What's up with that???

Preview.app new bug : stops opening new files
Starting a couple weeks ago, perhaps with my update to iLife 09 or perhaps related to a recent system update, Preview.app has a new bug for me.
If I open a few files (jpg, pdf, etc) with Preview.app, it will mysteriously stop opening new files. Double clicking the files in Finder, using Preview->Menu->File->Open, or any "open with..." functionality causes Preview to get the focus (come forward) but the file does not open.
I am not able to make it happen consistently with any set of files, but it is not any single file causing the problem. I've had this happen every day for the last couple weeks and it is now moved from annoyance to extreme annoyance.
If I close Preview.app and restart it, the same file that would not open will open fine. I have not been able to narrow this down, but I see this in Console:

As I said, the main thing I've changed recently is installing iLife 09. I'll continue to try to create a replicatable test set, but so far it seems more mercurial than that
Anyone else seeing this?Well, let me describe it a different way. I do not believe there is any way permissions for the files I'm opening could have anything to do with this.
1) I open a jpg with preview, leave preview.app running
2) I go do something else
3) I open a PDF in firefox, it opens preview with the pdf
4) I go do something else
5) I open a jpeg with preview
6) I try to open another jpeg with preview and it does not open.
7) No file of any sort, even the same file I opened in step 1 or 5 will now open in Preview. Preview.app is now completely unable to open new files.
Generally, I leave Preview.app running. This bug makes that completely non-functional. It also means I can't use preview.app to compare images side by side because it so often won't open the images after a dozen or so files get opened during its process-life.
