Is it a bug or just a typo in Agilent 532XX Series\Public\Data\Low Level\Fetch Measurement (Single).vi?

Hi, All
I am using Agilent 532XX Series driver to read data from a frequency counter. In the low level subVi : \Public\Data\Low Level\Fetch Measurement (Single).vi, "Scan From String"  is used to convert the data.
however, if I check the error of this function, it always show me a error with current format string "%.;%g;". after I changed it to "%;%g", I don't get the error anymore.
If anyone use this funtion, please check the error out of that fuction and see what you get.
Regards
CQ

I don't have the instrument, so I can't reproduce it completely, but I've done some research and if there is an error I don't think it's in the string conversion itself. I say this because:
From what I can gather, a typical output string would be the following: +4.27150000E-03
I took just a "scan from string" node and gave it that string as a string input and %.;%g; as the format specifier string. This yielded a numeric value of 0.0042715
So, as far as actually finding the root of the problem, there could be a few things going on. My first thought is some form corruption causing the data received to not be valid for conversion. There are two ways of testing this:
Open up a test panel in MAX and perform a loopback test, as described here: http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3450/en/#toc4
-or-
Install and open NI IO Trace and view the bus traffic as detailed here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/282C5D41E2BA04F2862574BA007803B9
If the loopback tests works properly, go ahead and run the IO trace and post the results here.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

    I am trying to create a community addition, but just keep getting   *Error occurred while saving your data.
    Trying to add the following community addtion for:     http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc755631(v=ws.10).aspx
    In the above website do NOT copy the command, you have to type it in.  Webpage Error.
    You can use both    dsquery server –hasfsmo schema    and    dsquery server -forest –hasfsmo schema
    The problem is, I believe, a hidden character in the command on this webpage which follows the Paste function and results in the error Unknown Parameter error.

    Hi John,
    You might have better luck posting this in the library feedback forum here:
    http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/home?forum=libraryfeedback&filter=alltypes&sort=lastpostdesc
    It seems odd to me that the TechNet library feedback forum lives under the MSDN branding, but that seems to be the case.

    Thanks,  After changing my settings in face time per your suggestion, (it needed to be done),  I turned off cellular data and data roaming and made a call using face time.  It worked!  Great way to stay in touch while overseas without the need for those egregious phone data plans.

    Apple is constantly working on improving their new Maps service, but until it reaches the level of finesse necessary to be usable, take a look at some alternatives.
    Bing Maps offers a very good maps service with Bird's Eye, a feature similar to Flyover. It's arguably better than Google Maps.

    You can use Google Maps by creating a shortcut to the Home Screen with help from the article below.

  • Media Encoder CC - Bug or just finicky?

    I'm confused about Media Encoder, and hoping someone can help.
    I have a short film that's primarily 4K ProRes augmented with some "flashbacks" that are 1920 by 1080 h264 files.  All edits beautifully in my 4K ProRes timeline.
    I have some Magic Bullet B&W corrections on the 1080 footage.  On the 4K footage, I just have an overall grade in an Adjustment Layer (for now).  I can play in Software Mode (CUDA won't work on my Retina Mac - separate thread!) at 1/4 resolution.  The 4K stuff looks great, the 1080 pretty bad.
    I've been outputting by matching sequence settings.  The file is TITANIC, but looks great.  I use that file to make various smaller files in APPLE COMPRESSOR.  I find it better and more flexible (especially with cropping for 2.35, etc.)  What can I say.  All in all, the workflow works for me.
    So here's the problem.  Today I wanted to use In and Out to export a small section for music review with a colleague.  No need to have a huge file, I just used Media Encoder in a Vimeo SD mode.
    In the first attempt, the 1080 stuff oddly looked terrible.  Just as it does when viewed at 1/4 resolution.  To make sure everything was okay, I outputted that section at Matched Sequence settings.  All good - the 1080 stuff had the Magic Bullet B&W look working great.
    Then I tried again with the Vimeo SD setting.  Only this time I checked Render at Maximum Resolution.  Took FOREVER, but all good again.  The 1080 stuff was fine.
    Next I renendered "in to out" in my sequence (I hadn't done so previously - I was working "red line").  Output without checking Max Render Quality.  Back to the horrible 1080 stuff.
    Finally, I chose "use previews", but not max render.  All good again.
    So, at last a question.  Does this make sense?  I never before had to use either Maximum Render OR Use Previews to get acceptable quality with "device" settings.  Is this a bug?  Or related to my disparate picture sizes?  Or something else?  Thank you all!

    I can see where this would be expected behavior.

    I've just reinstalled XFCE but nothing has changed.:( I think has something to do with this https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … comments/3
    Sorry for my bad english. Thank You.
    Please post your daemons from rc.conf. Also, how are you starting Xfce? Reinstalling things usually doesn't accomplish much. I've found it's much better and more efficient to fix the problems when they crop up. Besides, you learn much more that way.

  • [SOLVED] Is this a bug or just me ?

    Chromium  freezes when I type something on the adress bar.

    Is anyone facing the same issue ?
    L.E Installing dbus solved the issue.

    I would still consider this a bug  --  if the CAS doesn't like it then it can reject the formula like it does elsewhere in the calculator  eg...
    in Home  (13)(3) is entered and when the enter key is pressed it becomes:   (13)*(3)           39
    in CAS  (13)(3) is entered, enter key pressed it becomes:                                        39                     39
    in Home (13)(3)^2 is entered, enter key pressed it becomes:                             (13)*(3)^2       117
    in CAS  (13)(3)^2  is entered,  enter key pressed it becomes:                              39^2                 1521
    true
    Home sees  MN  as M*N  ;    whereas
    CAS sees     mn   as one variable  mn  ;   whereas
    Solver sees MN  as M*N     but
    Solver sees M(N)    as a Syntax error  which needs to be corrected,  but
    Solver sees (M)(N)  as (M)*(N)    pretty much the same as in Home....
    just seems like unneccessare confusion setting students up for failure,
    but thanks for your help and insight

  • Is this bug or just me? HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

    hi all, i have 3 very simple class it just calling a method from Layout class. they are all from different package. class path are fine because i can create Layout but i cant call it methods from package ROSServer with package ROSGui.sharedGui it is fine. i dont kno what kinda error or bug this is
    have never come across one even a simple class like this :(
    this is kinda urgen, please help me!!!!!!!!!
    thanks in advance <3
    this class can compile just fine no problem
    package Domain;
    import java.util.*;
    * This Class Create a Layout Object
    public class Layout{
         /** Create an empty Layout */
         public Layout(){
         public String getName(){return name;}
         public String name;
    this class can compile just fine no problem
    package ROSGui.sharedGui;
    import Domain.*;
    public class SharedToolBar{
         public SharedToolBar(Layout l){
              Layout layout = l;
              layout.getName();
    // Variables declaration
    // End of variables declaration
    this class can not compile error "cannot resolve symbol"
    package ROSServer;
    import Domain.*;
    * This Class contains all SQL methods required to modify database and getting Connection
    * from DBConnect
    final class ServerHandler{
         ServerHandler(Layout l){
              Layout layout = l;
              layout.getName();
    // Variables declaration
    // End of variables declaration
    }

    It's an easy problem:
    Do yourself a favor and post the actual error next time. Or, better yet, read the error yourself, think about what it's telling you, BELIEVE WHAT IT SAYS, and act on it. There's no reason why anybody should be posting compilation errors to a forum.
    You can only have one package statement in a .java source file, and it's got to be the first statement in the file.
    Put each class in its own file and make them all public. Recompile. When I did that, they all compiled just fine.

  • Anyone else seeing the page-curl bug I just reported to Apple?

    Here's the bug:
    If you import AVCHD footage into iMovie (or even a screen recording made in QuickTime Player) in "Large" (not full size), the page-curl transition will corrupt when iMovie tries to play it back at the original footage's size or larger (i.e.,the effect will corrupt if you have the editing sub-window showing fairly large in the main editing window, or if you use full-screen playback, or you export the final project in a large size, such as 720p, to iTunes). This doesn't seem to affect footage shot with a Mac's iSight camera.
    What will happen is, in, say, a 25-frame-long page curl (either right or left), roughly Frames 5, 6, and 7 will show plain dark gray, where they're supposed to be showing those frames of the first clip in the transition.
    I've been able to reproduce this bug in iMovie 9.0.7 and 9.0.6, on both a late 2009 iMac i7 and late 2009 13" MacBook Pro. My AppleCare Senior iMovie technician was able to reproduce this on both a 2010 and 2011 21" iMac. (I wonder if this also appears in Final Cut Pro?)
    I first noticed this when I upgraded my OS from Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6) directly to Mountain Lion (now running 10.8.1), as Mountain Lion "broke" every single page curl in every single project I'd made in iMovie (which had worked fine until then) over the last two years. I don't know if this bug was introduced in Lion, since I skipped that OS. Anyone out there know/care to run a test?
    The AppleCare tech told me that the chance of this bug's getting fixed depends, in part, upon the volume of users like you who report it to Apple (at www.apple.com/feedback/imovie.html), and here on the boards.
    So chime in (here, and at the feedback link above) if you have any observations to add. Thanks!

    I saw something that appears to be possible curl corruption today in:
    curl 7.21.4 (universal-apple-darwin11.0) libcurl/7.21.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8r zlib/1.2.5.
    It stopped outputting the response content 9 characters before the end of the endline-less response and started spitting out a long string of characters that were based on the next thing it was trying to output which was the prompt:
    Last login: Wed Sep 19 18:06:37 on ttys001

    followed immediately by my prompt which begins "mac-". It did this only once when I ran it as the first thing in that terminal session.
    Feel free to post that in your support ticket or send me a link and I can post it. There is definitely a bug.
