you know what its funny because my ipod just did this last weekend. its been freezing on and off for the last couple of months. I have had it for a year and a half. It would freeze and i would try and do the whole thing where you hold down menu and select and that worked for awhile, but then suddenly last weekend it froze and it started making a weird clicking sound too. i got ****** and just left it at home for the weekend. when i got back home the battery was dead of course and i just plugged it into the charger and it turned on again. im guessing that sometimes you just have to leave it alone. when it made that clicking noise, it wouldnt do anything. you just have to let the battery die and then recharge it.

I do exactly as Thomas Reed does. Always have from day one. Going on 15 months now and I get at least 10 hours of use out the battery every day. No matter how much juice is left on the device when I go to bed - I put the iPad on the charger - doesn't matter what the battery gauge says - I plug it in and let it charge all night.

ITouch has a black screen as if it's off but when plugged into the computer it says it's on. I have to wait until the battery dies to charge it and turn it back on.

I've tried restarting it. When the battery finally dies and I get to turn it back on, it works for a while until it freezes, then I click the power button to put it on standby and then the screen won't turn back on but the computer says it's still on. However, the computer won't detect the device.

No, it is quite fine to charge at any time, for any amount. The Lithium based battery used in iDevices do not like to be depleted to low levels.

Water Damage - Phone wouldn't turn off untill the battery died?

Hello, I'm looking for advice about the water damage my phone suffered today after a swim with it. I checked the flaps were closed, but one was apparently wedged ever so slightly open by a rogue broken peice of plastic, apparently not from the phone. In any case water got in, and the phone started to shoot randomly from one task to another, calling one of my friends at one point, and it began to over heat, so I panicked and dried it as quickly as possible, and put it away. When I came to use the phone not too much later, I noticed the screen was especially dim and the phone was still warm-ish. I tried to perform tasks with the phone but for some reason the camera kept opening and making a start-up noise, pretty much any time I tried to type or to open another app. Later on it got to the point where if I pressed the power button to lock the phone, the camera would open. I couldn't turn it off, anytime or way I tried, it just went straight to the camera. I tried resetting the phone by holding the power button and the volume up button, and it did restart, but the problem persisted. The last stage was a refusal to be on anything but the camera. I touched the home screen button, it would go to the homescreen button for a second or so, then go back to the camera. All the while it was getting hot again, so I kept it as cool as I could. All I could do was wait for the battery to run out and hope that it wouldn't expload... I haven't tried charging it or turning it on again as I figured if there is water in it then it would be best to leave it off, so I'm hoping that the damage isn't too severe. I didn't get insurance for it as I never thought I would damage it, and up until now I haven't, no cracks, no spills or anything, but this is clearly my fault, so I was only wondering if there was anything I could do to repair it without having to pay off the rest of my contract or pay for a repair or something. Not at all. Use it until you need to to want to charge it. I charge my iPad every night no matter where the indicator level is. The battery will stop charging when it reaches full capacity and will not overcharge. I don't even perform charging cycles with regularity any more.

After updating my 3GS, (I guess to iOS 6.0.1 or 6.0.2 I'm not sure, so the new iOS, two days ago) the phone continuously keeps restarting until the battery dies. I can't do anything with it because it is just restarting and restarting and restarting and... again and again and again....
Don't even try to tell me to do this or that... press this and that button for a couple of seconds, because the phone is just restarting. The Apple logo appears on the screen and sometimes the small circle as well for a couple second and then the Apple logo again, continuously again and again. I got this itunes message when connecting the phone to the computer: "We're sorry, we are unable to connect with your activation at this time." So again the phone does not respond to anything, just restarting and restarting untill the battery dies.
I went to the Apple store to ask the Apple genius team, but with no luck, unfortunately. He didn't know anything that would help. Now I'm looking for an Apple genius outside the Apple store... So now you geniuses out there try to resolve this problem.

Sounds like the battery needs recalibrating but letting the phone die and then charging over night normally helps. Have you tried resetting the phone by holding the power and home button until it turns off and reboots? Try that, letting the phone run down till it turns off a few times and charge it over night. If not you may have to restore your phone via iTunes, make sure you have a current back up, or restore as new if that fails, add all your contacts etc back manually that might remove any corruption you could have. Note you will lose game data etc that way but its normally the best way to sort issues if all else fails.

Always remember to 'de-authorize' you computer when selling or sending for service. If sending for repairs you might not get the same mother board or HD back and some how this counts as an authorized computer against your count.

- Try a reset. Nothing is lost:
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Connect the iPod to your computer and try to restore via iTunes. Try placing in Recovery mode if necessary to restore.
- If you can't turn the iPod completely off, let the batter fully drain. After charging for at lerast anhour try again
- If still not successful time for an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

here i have got a situation that the remote function module created in SAP-R/3 to wait untill the response came from webmethods :
i have created the remote function module by assigning one structure in tables(tab) and 3 parameters in changing tab just to collect the messages return from webmethods
so this rfc will be called by webmethods and pick the structure data and then it wll return 3 variables back to rfc.
here the rfc need to wait untill the response came from webmethods.
so can any body suggest me on what source code do i need to write in RFC

Normally RFC are synchronous, they do have return parameter as export parameter.
If return parameter is missing then , you can create Wrapper RFC.
Wrapper RFC:
It is nothing but you just create BAPI in SE37 transaction with Return parameter as export parameter and make it remote enabled by clicking on Radio button.
Under source code, CALL BAPI which XI has to call.
