Is it fixable or am I SOL?
I just discovered this forum, probably like most, because I need help. I'm a bit of a LR newbie so any help is appreciated. While updating to LR5.6 I accidentally deleted my catalog. Or what I believe was my catalog. When I opened up 5.6 it asked me what catalog to choose and I just clicked default. All of my raw files are still there. The problem is I didn't back up my LR in a while and my newer photos do not have any edits or tweaks I applied to them. Now its not the worst thing in the world because I do still have my raw files. But I don't really want to go back through and edit the last batches of photos I took. I tried to restore the catalog (which was saved on my desktop) but clicking the folder and trying to restore to a previous version. The problem is what used to sit on my desktop with a LR icon now is a folder. And it is not a catalog its listed as "Lightroom5CatalogPrevies.lrdata". I tried to open this in LR but it does nothing. In this folder is several subfolders which in turn have subfolders in them. I tried changing the name to .lrcat but that didn't help either. If anyone can help that would be most appreciative. If there is no fix I'll just go through and re-edit the newer photos.

..Previews.lrdata folder is not a catalog and not to be opened - it's a part of what's kept in a catalog folder along with a catalog file (.lrcat).
That said, your edits are (for sure) in:
* the catalog you had open when you made the edits.
Your edits may also be in:
* A backup catalog (if you made one after making the edits).
* xmp sidecar files (if proprietary raw file format, or xmp embedded in dng or jpg or tif..), if you had "auto-save xmp" enabled in Lr preferences, or you saved (xmp) metadata manually (e.g. via Ctrl/Cmd-S).
* exported copies of your photos *if* you exported them with "All Metadata".
So, to recover it's best to:
* Find the right catalog, if possible (e.g. backup, if current/active catalog was inadvertently deleted) - make sure you look in trash/recycle first! (.lrcat file).
* Recover from xmp, edits that are not in catalog, if available (restore by reading (xmp) metadata, but backup everything first, since this will take your photos backwards if xmp metadata not recently saved).
* Recover from exported copies, if you are so fortunate as to have (requires a plugin, or exiftool).

There are quite a few instances of this happening with ios 5.1. If you are using this version you shoud update! To get the contacts back you could try logging into icloud.com and see if the contacts were saved there.

apple replaced my hard drive (1tb seagate) and now I can't access my Microsoft office because the license was compromised. is this fixable? or will we be adding this to the list of lawsuits..
You can reinstall MS using your install disk(s) and the original registration key(s).

I am trying to download iTunes on my new desktop computer (Windows 7, 64 bit). It starts installing, and then stops with the message- "The System Administrator has set policies to prevent this installation." This is a stand alone computer and I am the sole user. Please help.

i bought nokia c5-03 on 14-5-11...i want to know sol for few things....
1.Hanging-whn i type msg and click add contact..it hangs...n if i try to edit any one pic from my gallary..again it hangs..either i hav to lock n lock or switch off it n on.. thn it vl work..one time even the lock key dint work...these all happened whn thr s no running app.hw to manage it..without hanging?
2.Whn i try to tak pic in cam..its coming in landscape mode..whn i turn potrait also the cam icons(to tak pic.A)r in landscape mode itself..the auto turn control is in ON only...the same thing whn viewing vidieos..clarity s not good to feel it as 5mp cam
3.whn i copy songs from pc to mobile using usb cable,in which folder(in memory card) it shld be added?so tht it vl automatically update in music player..i tried all possibilities but no result..tel me in which folder v hav to add those songs..

I suspect that the fields having subtype 3 just before the garbled columns is a clue, but not sure what to replace with or adjust.
Any and all help mighty appreciated.Worthwhile suggestion, just having difficulty applying.
I will tinker with it more. But still open to more suggestions.

We are recording 2 voices over an instrumental track. Every time there is a rest in the vocal part the volume of the instrumental track noticeable increases. Is this fixable? We are using Alesis multi mix 8 with 2 microphones.

Dear friends,
I am working in Sol Man 4.0.
I have loaded the doc 'ABC" in SOLAR02. Now i want to copy the document in RMAMAIN using the option
"Assign Document" ---L> as a copy, i am getting the following error
"FOLDER CLASS IWB4FOLDER is NOT valid for objects of info object class SOLARGEN"
Please guide to solve this..

Error While manually updating xperia sola to android 4

I did the following download and install the latest Fashtool software ( flashtool-0.9.10.1-windows ) and I had installed the drivers .exe in the drivers folders
and selected all the devices and I am not able to flash sola to the new version of android
the log file at the link

I have blue and green vertical lines on my iMac which is no longer covered by Applecare. Is it fixable?
What model iMac? Could be a failing video card but maybe not. Is it that way on every screen, startup to shutdown, any time the screen is lit?
Do you have an AASP nearby? Time to have an estimate made. Fixing it will likely be very expensive. -
Generation of Configuration document through Sol Man
Dear Friends,
We are using Solution Manager for our R/3 implementation. In realization phase, we are capturing all transports in BC sets through Sol Man. Via Sol Man, i am executing t.code SCPR3 (Maintain BC set), after capturing all the confugurations in BC set, i am maintaining configuration related details in the same BC set, as below.
In SCPR3 t.code, in top menu,
Edit-----Add documentation.
Here i am maintaining all configuration related details. And saving as "Raw version".
The same way, for all the BC sets, i am maintaing the configuration related details within the same BC set itself.
My client requirement is:
1. Now i am calling all the BC set in Sol Man (t.code SOLAR02, "Configuration" tab, under "type" coloum, i am selecting, "BC set".
2. <b>Now, if i generate "Configuration Guide", the system has to automatically pick the the configuration details, what i have maintained in the BC set (as Add documentation).</b>
How to do this?

Edit-----Add documentation. can we make this "Add documentation" to be mandatory? So without entering the details, one should not possible to SAVE the BC set.
Can we make any settings for this?

The iBooks dictionary works fine for my iPhone 5, but it does not work for my iPad 2. Is this fixable?
I went to the Audio store to see about getting a surround sound and the salesperson asked me why I wasn't using AirPlay, he said it was better than the Bluetooth, better quality. So I do have AirPlay on my Sony and I installed the app on my iPhone 5 but they can't find eachother.......when I try looking for my iPhone on my receiver it does not show it. The Sony display works through my TV, the set up screen is there but it says no devices found. Like I said, the Bluetooth finds the iPhone and works ok, but the AirPlay does not.....looking at the manuel it says that the AirPlay will recognize my device (iPhone 5) but it does not..........

How to Migrate Sol 8/SDS 4.2 Raid 1 disks to Sol 10 VM
I have a system running Solaris 8 with S/w mirrorring of the system & data disks that has to have the O/S upgraded to Solaris 10. Due to the size of a couple of system mount pts it looks like I'll have to do the Solaris 10 initial install option and either combine these smaller partitions back into root or expand them for Solaris 10. Do I have to undo the mirrors & concat/stripes I already have before going to Solaris 10 (just on the system disk and/or the data disk) in order to use Sol 10's VM?

My I pad mini had a lot of water spilled on it! So now is it toast?? Can it be replaced? I don't have a warranty on it because I got it as a Christmas present. Am I SOL??
