  • Online call for Seychelles mobile numbers

I have a problem to call  some mobile phones to Seychelles. Several months ago the system informed me by every atempt to call - " at the moment there is no chance to call this number" Some of Seychelles mobile number I can call some of them not. The problem started when in Seychelles changed the phone numbers from sixt digits for seven digits.

This is more than likely a problem with the service provider. If skype is working normally otherwise (test it to isolate it) Then I imagine this is a problem with the seychelles provider.

Siri used to work fine when making mobile calls in Ecuador until yesterday, when the administration of Ecuador added an aditional number in all mobile numbers existing in Ecuador. Since then Siri is unable to make any mobile calls with any new number.Help
I`ve tried restarting, rebooting, nothing works.
The interesting thing is that SIRI can call to previous mobile numbers (without the new digit) obviously not connecting , and, can call to any other numbers as an office or home number. So the problem is the new digit in the mobile number

Ecuador has added an extra digit to mobile phone numbers but apple wont accept 10 digit phone numbers so we cant use facetime or apple IM or verify our new phone numbers. ( and Siri won't work either!) I have contacted apple support online but can't request a call back as the apple system says our new phone numbers are invalid. I am going to phone them tomorrow and you should complain too at http://www.apple.com/support/contact/.  . The more people that bring this to their attention the faster it will get fixed

  • Free worldwide calls to mobiles and landlines for a month

Hi,I have received an email saying that I can have free Worldwide calls for one month. I am going to Tunisia at the end of April and want to ring UK every day because my parents both have cancer. So if I use my UK mobile phone in Tunisia to ring a UK landline number will it be completely free? or will I have to pay a rate per minute. I can't believe it'll be completely free. In fact if the calls don't have to be paid for, at £8.49 a month it'll be worth doing every time I go on holiday. Thanks in advance

Hello, I moved to Amsterdam recently and the "pay as you go" plan is now not practical.I attempted to sign up for Unlimited World calls to landline and mobiles but when I selected Free trial button, I received a message that the offer expired or is not available to my skype login. I only have one Skype login.I just signed up for Premium service thinking maybe I need to do this first, then I can upgrade to Unlimited World but that didn't work either. How can I sign up for Unlimited World? I don't care about the free trial, I want to sign for a monthly subscription that best meets my current international mobile and landline calling needs. Thanks for you helpNancy

You'd need an app like Skype to video call with other phones.
Data transfer is not supported via bluetooth and iphone to iphone is not supported at all.

  • Re: Subscribed for World Free, but call charges de...

When Skype made some changes to Premium accounts, I got an e-mail from Skype that says:
"A few changes to your Premium account
Group video calling is now free. But as a big thanks for being a Premium subscriber, we're giving you calling to countries around the world at no extra cost.
That means you'll get all the perks of Premium, plus unlimited1 calls to phones in over 60 countries/regions — all for the same rate you're paying now.
    Here’s what you'll now get…
    1. Unlimited calls to mobiles in 8 countries/regions and landlines in 63—see our full list.
    2. Up to 10 people together on a group video call.
    3. Live chat support when you need it.
    4. The same great ad-free4 Skype you’re used to."
Then why do they charge me for US mobile calls if US mobile calls are included to this list?

    Checking for you.

I'm not sure I understand.... I thought that "Anytime Minutes" Were for non-Verizon calls, whether to other carriers' mobile phones or landlines, 24/7.  If they are designated as "unlimited," then you do not pay a per-minute fee for them -- instead they are all included in the $50 monthly fee... Correct?
Now here's a possible "fly in the ointment"... What about "roaming" calls on this plan?  Is there such a thing; and if so, are they included, too, at no extra charge?  Also is "roaming" determined by from where the call *originates* (your own, i.e., the caller's location); or if the destination is out of the prepaid Verizon wireless coverage area? or both/either?  This has always confused me.
One time about a year or so ago, my sister and I were talking (we both had VZ prepaid wireless phones on the "Core" plan), as we customarily tended to do; and after a few minutes we got mysteriously cut off. When I tried to call her back, I heard a message that indicated she was out of wireless minutes.  This confused us, as although we knew her account was low (I think she had $2 left at the time), still it should have charged her the 99¢ daily access fee and no more.
So we called Verizon customer service (with my "patching her in" via landline, lol) and asked them what exactly she got charged for. The CSR said that we'd  been on "roaming," that there had been some upgrades to the towers in the area and that we would need to call *228 to update our phones' roaming capabilities.  That was the first we'd ever heard of such an option!  It especially surprised me, since I ~thought~ I'd configured my phone to disable roaming except for emergency 911 calls; as I didn't wish it to activate automatically (and unnoticed!), as it seemed to do in our case.  I'd much rather have the call dropped than incur 20¢/min. charges.
Fortunately the CSR was very nice and credited both our accounts; and with the *228 update (which Verizon recommends you access about once a month) we did not experience the problem again.

  • I downloaded a free App called ThaiPad from Bangkok Post newspaper. I downloaded on my PC running Windows 7. The Bangkok Post recommended itunes for downloading. I completed download but it would not open. I am assuming that perhaps this App. was for iPod

I downloaded a free App. called ThaiPad from Bangkok Post newswpapers. I downloaded on my PC running Windows 7. The Bangkok Post recommended itunes for downloading. I completed the download but it would not open. I assume that this App was for iPad or iPod etc as the Bangkok Post wants to sell content,  after the free content,  via itunes store I assume. Can someone tell me if I can open this in Windows 7 and if so how. Thanks.

Any app that you download using iTunes is for use only on iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, and not on a PC. It's possible they have a separate app for PC, as some companies do, but the one you downloaded via iTunes definitely will not open in Windows 7.
