Please try the following steps assuming its a MAC:
1) Open Activity monitor and Force quit Adobe CEF Helper, Creative cloud, Adobe IPC Broker & Crash Deamon if available.
2) Try to open, if doesn't work then go to Applications>> Adobe Creative cloud>> Right click>> Get Info>> Click on the Add sign>> Select the user you are logged in>> Give Read and write access.
3) If that doesn't work then enable the root user and launch to update there, check this link on how to enable/sign in to root user Enabling and using the "root" user in Mac OS X

Installing Adobe Acrobat XI Pro from CD and set up asks to insert disk
I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat XI Pro from a CD. I insert the CD and I follow the set up wizard until I get to the point of installing the software and it gives me the option to "Update". I click this button and it begins to install but then a window appears with a message instructing me to insert the disc. I already have the disc inserted so I click the "OK" button, but the window will not go away and the installation does not continue. If I click the "Cancel" button then it tells me that the installation was interrupted. What do I need to do to get past this?
The problem was probably the trial version. Since you already had Acrobat installed, the installer did not know what to do. All you needed to do was open the trial version and activate it and you would have been done. The route you took is fine, but takes longer. Glad you found a solution that worked for you. If you have problems, your first step should be to do a repair and not a reinstall. That seems to come up a fair amount and thought you might find the repair aspect useful.

IPads have been set up in Supervised mode with one VPP app. When we've added a free app to Configurator, checked it in the App tab and pressed Refresh or Apply, the Device line items do very quick refresh, then normalize. The free app does not install.
I am using the correct Apple ID. Is there something else I am missing?Not to sound like I'm fed up with Configurator, but I have noticed that nothing is updating now. So, I will be manually updating the Profile configuration and installing a free App Store app on each of our 40 iPads due to deadline issues.
Will re-configure them all with Configurator over Winter break. Hopefully the issues will be sorted out by then. -
My iPhone apps wouldn't open they just blink for a second and the home screen comes back again...i tried installing a free app from the AppStore but it didn't work and also tried resetting the iPhone but ddnt work as well please help what do i do??
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

If you set up an Apple ID with credit card details then you need to enter valid credit card information and then when you download a free app it does what you are experiencing. You will not be charged. Sometimes when you update credit card information in you Apple ID, Apple raises a $1 charge to check to see if the card works and then cancels the charge. IF you want to set up an ID without a ccredit card then you do so like this

I have just tried to install the full version of Anthill to my iPod touch Gen 4. I get a message on the iPod saying "Anthill failed to install" and an error on the computer "OxE8000004". I already had Anthill Free installed so deleted it in case it was interferring with the new download. I can install other free apps but now can't even install Anthill Free. I have tried the 7 resolution steps advised by Apple and have totally run out of ideas as to what I can try next. I am using a new laptop since installing Anthill Free the first time and am now running Windows 7, otherwise everything else is the same. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks.

If you have a credit card on file with your apple id you can remove it and select the option for none, if something is wrong with your credit or billing information it will prevent you from downloading any content until its resolved. -
I was told that Pages was a free app by the Apple sales person. However, when I went to download it, it said that I needed Mavericks. So I downloaded it and couldnt find the pages app. So I went to the store to search it and then saw the Pages app for $19.99. So is it free or not?
