So, we get a free update of Pages. A new look. So what? Where are the styles you can set for yourself and save? Why is it now impossible to set a first-line indent by dragging the do-hickey on the ruler? All they have done is rearrange things so you have new stuff to learn how to work with.

iOs7: So Ugly, LESS intuitive, can't believe anyone actually tested this and thought all the white backgrounds and small texts actually looked even close to okay.
Mavericks: Thankfully did NOT download this "upgrade" and never will. Looks like freakin microsoft crap.
Safari 6.1: Why OH WHY apple??? Why do you change things for the worse???? Please do not make things more complicated and make things that require MORE clicks to do the same thing as before! I'm talking to you stupid bookmarks!!! Thankfully found a way to go back to 6.5. Thinking about ditching it all together.
itunes: always has been too convoluted. The itunes radio is BAD and turns my phone into a heater. Rushing to get all my music onto a hard drive so I can ditch itunes match.
I would ditch all apple products in a heartbeat if I could find a good alternative. Microsoft still seems worse but my family and I are not rushing to buy anything else from apple.
Oh please go back to being simple and beautiful!!!

I had a very similar problem, error 4251. (look in your log you will see that error) Since I finally fixed my problem, I thought I would see if I can help someone else.
What I found is that I lost burn ability in both iTunes AND Windows. Like you did. I did some digging and found that this wasn't hardware related at all. In fact, this boils down to a registry key getting messed up. (sigh) Yeah. It causes the system to get a bad 'handle'.
OK, here's what to try. Go to this Microsoft KB article. Scroll down and find the *manual* instructions for Vista. Delete the registry key that it specifies. Reboot. Now verify that you can burn in Windows. (If you have a RW disc, do a disc erase, or just try and burn from Windows Media Player.) If that is working now, you're on the right track.
Now the issue is that iTunes will still be broken. Go and install the latest Gear driver. (I know you may have done it, but do it again.) Now follow the intructions in this Apple KB article to verify the "GEARAspiWDM" info is back there in the registry. Now reboot. Try and burn in iTunes.

ok turn it off manually and turn it back on while holding the apple logo bottor or the function botton this will give you an option to choose if you want to startup with osx ow windows. let me know if this works

It still does, just not the version you have. Go to the App Store and upgrade it. The upgrade should be free.

my ibook was clicking the other night. it has already been through the logic board recall. this appears to be the hard drive. after tech tool pro, the disk utilities, etc., and all of the alternate startup sequences, i now have an apple that turned into a circle with a slash through it (a do not allow type of symbol). i bought a new drive today and after reading many forums today, i am wondering if there is a recall, warranty or if i should send it in the my local store to get fixed or just do it myself tonight. any advice anyone?

How my Ubuntu/Firefox 3.6.16 turned into Microsoft I.E. with a Virus Warning.

When I was 'Surfing' the Internet, looking for some "Train" Photo Wallpapers, when I clicked on a Photo to view, my Firefox 3.6.16 browser turned into a "Fake" I.E. Browser Page with a Windows "Defender" warning box in the center stating that my system was invaded with a Virus and that I had to click in the "Fix Problem Box" to remove the virus.
Being in Ubuntu/Firefox, nothing I clicked on had any effect.
I pulled my power and rebooted and I was back up and running!
I then installed a anti-virus program which could not find ant problem or Malware.
I am now attempting to find this "Bad" Photo File/Link.
The page that has/had the Bad Link was:

Have you held the menu and left arrow together for 6 secs ? (I think you have from what you say).
Also try unpowering and restarting AppleTV.

If you are in Hong Kong, go to Digital Trade, 1/F, Sincere Plaza, Argyle Street, and it will cost you 120-150HKD, but before you go check that your power button and home button are working correctly, if not press as hard as you can, hope this will help.

This indicates the device is in recovery mode.
Connect it to a computer running iTunes and restore it.

Why won't it let you sync? What happens when you try to sync it? Any error messages from iTunes? How is your iPod configured to sync music from your iTunes library? In other words, what options do you have selected from under the iPod's Music tab in iTunes? To access this tab, plug your iPod in, select it under Devices in the left hand pane of iTunes, and over to the right locate and select the Music tab along the top.
Or are you trying to manually manage your iPod's contents? In other words, is the Manually manage music and videos option enabled from under the iPod's Summary tab?
