Is it just me or is the file system on the N86 tot...

I load music on to it. Say 1 folder containing the Top 40 chart singles of the week. The N86 refuses to allow me to play them in the order in the single folder.
Instead it splits up the files into however many artists there are in the top 40 charts, and gives each artist a folder each. And it's retarded that after one folder is played, it will not play the next folder.
You're then forced to either make a playlist manually. Or select play all tracks, in which case navigation becomes a problem if you're scrolling through track by track. Not to mention any sound clips you record with the N86 will also be played as it was in a music library.
I find this just GAY.

i no ive got playlist and thats all very good if i wantt to spend ages going through over a 1000 tracks putting them in order when alot of them are named by the track not the artist, on my 5310 i could put a folder of tracks on to memory card go to memory card on phone and play the tracks continously,
on the 5530 and apparently on 5800, n86 u open folder play track and to play next track u have to exit music player and select the next track where as the 5310 used to autmatically play every track in the folder
its bad of nokia to remove such a simple function or is there away around with out using the awkward playlists

  • IPhoto9: "library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported."

Can please anyone help me with this issue.
After upgrading from iPhoto8 to iPhoto9 my library won't open anymore. I have stored all my pictures on a NAS (Buffalo Link Station Duo). It all worked fine but since upgrading to iPhoto9 I do have the following problem:
When opening iPhoto I receive a message that the library needs to be updated. I assume that iPhoto should just do this sort of automatically in order to upgrade to iPhoto9.However, next message I receive then is
"The library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported."
Apple support so far does not seem to be able to solve my issue. Anyone else having had the same issue and having a solution to this?
Thanks a lot for your help.

    There is no solution.
IPhoto needs to have the Library sitting on disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Users with the Library sitting on disks otherwise formatted regularly report issues including, but not limited to, importing, saving edits and sharing the photos. While you have been lucky to date, many folks with a library on a NAS found that it worked for a while and then the problems started.
Workaround: Put the Library on a Disk Image formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and store that on the NAS. But the real solution is to use a properly formatted disk for the Library.

Can you reformat the drive and try again?
    Hi Kirby,
I attached the UltraMax Plus with a USB cable. The UltraMax powers the cable so power is not an issue. I can open other files. Also, there is 500GB of files on the drive so I cannot re-format it. Although, I noted I could import the entire Aperture Library. However, I do not want to create a duplicate on my machine because that would be defeating the purpose of the external drive.

  • IPhoto The library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported.

Have Yosemite installed on both my MBA and Mac Pro. iPhoto 9.0 running well on the MBA but when I tried opening iPhoto on my Mac pro get the message "The library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported." This is after I upgraded iPhoto.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While holding down the command & option keys boot into iPhoto and have it repair the Library.  If that does not work then download "Library Manager" and have that program work.  I found that better than the Apple program.

  • How/Where are Financial Reports Saved on the File System of the Server?

We've recently lost a large chunk of our reports on our server. We can't figure out which directory location to restore in order to get those reports back. Where is the default directory for 11.1.2.2 Financial Reports? And in what format are those reports saved?

The FR reports themselves are found in the Operating System (O/S) file system, but the EPM Workspace heirarchy (folders, tree, etc) are stored in the Hyperion BI+ repository database.
On the O/S file system, the reports are stored in RM1 folder under "C:\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\epmsystem1\ReportingAnalysis\data\RM1\root" folder.
The names of the reports located here are UUID (long identifiers - not the actual names).
    For example:
when a report is created with the name"My report" in the Financial Reporting Studio, when logging into EPM Workspace it will be accessible within Financial Reports/folder name where it was saved.
the actual report will be stored in a sub-folder of the RM1\root folder on file system.
The name of the file will be a unique identifier (not the actual name of the report i.e. "My report")
It will be generated "on the fly" based on various things such as the current date and time on the server (i.e 0000012f5af72b1a-0000-ec71-c0a8006c.00000130510b77bb-0000-5133-c0a8006c.1)
The meta-data for that report ("My report", that is in the folder in Workspace, the modification date of the report, the permissions on that report, etc.) will be stored in the Hyperion BI+ DB as an object in an encrypted table. Financial Reporting knows what meta-data is in the Hyperion BI+ DB that matches the report, in the "RM1\root" folder because all the rows in the table for this object in the Hyperion BI+ DB that are related to "My report" will be referenced using the UUID of the file (e.g. 0000012f5af72b1a-0000-ec71-c0a8006c.00000130510b77bb-0000-5133-c0a8006c.1)
Note: The location of RM1 folder differs with each installations' operating system.

  • Aperture library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported.

Does anybody know how to fix this? please help!

See this page to format your drive:    Format external drives to Mac OS Extended before using with Aperture
After your external drive is formatted correctly, drag the Aperture library to the drive.  Formatting will erase the drive. SO besure to backup any files to a different volume before you format your drive.

  • The library could not be opened because the file system of the library's volume is unsupported.

What to do now? Tried also to open the library directly from finder. This campe up. First tried to import library from aperture.

We recommend to use "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" on an external drive where you are going to store your Aperture library. Copy the library to the internal disk and open it from there. Then, use Disk Utility to format the external disk > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html Copy all the files on the external drive to the internal disk before formatting.
Note that you will lose the ability to use the external disk with PCs, so you will need an application like Paragon HFS on all PCs you want to use the external disk

  • What's so hard about the file system?

I've heard that the file system is hard to understand/navigate recently. I heard Jobs mention it yesterday in the keynote.
I just don't get it. Since OS X they've made a home folder. That's pretty simple. Is this a case of catering to people
who are very new to computers?
I made a folder called Art. In it are all my works in folders with appropriate names. When I save a file from Illustrator
and put it in the art folder the next time I save it goes in that same folder unless I change the path. That's pretty
    straight forward, no?
    Thanks for any insights.

    > Is this a case of catering to people who are very new to computers?
My guess is yes.  Apple has been getting a lot of new Mac users via the iPhone, iPad, iPod, and iPod Touch devices which do not expose the file system to the user.
It is my guess that based on support calls, they figured if they minimize the need to understand and navigate the file system, they will have happier customers, where that is an over all average and not necessarily specific cases of experienced users.
One area where new users get confused is where should I put something?  There are different existing folders, but they can create their own.  Should they use an existing folder, or create their own.  Documents sometimes becomes a dumping ground until it becomes difficult to find things.  Should the user create a new home level folders or subfolders in Documents?
There are 3 Library folders (assuming you know where to look), what goes where.  home folder -> Library is not used consistently by all applications which can confuse users that figure out how to find something for application X, only to have application Y store it differently.
Besides you cannot argue with the success of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, and Apple does look at its bottom line and everything there is telling them "Less is More".

  • Disappointed - Where did the file system go ?

Am I just missing the obvious ? My old HTC TouchPro 2 had an accessible and complete Windows 6.5 file system - Documents, Music, etc. Has that file system access been disabled on these Tropy's ? I have PDF fioles (maps, etc) and other files from the old phone that I want to use. Am I going to reactivate my TouchPro 2 - or is there a way to get to the file system on the Trophys ? Looks like Verizon needs to get more serious about Windows power users (read: BUSINESS clients) - TouchPro's were good but there is no meaningful replacement. Any advice ?

There is no file system. One way you can get PDFs from the old phone to the new phone is to send the PDFs by email to yourself again. Another way is you could access your SkyDrive (skydrive.live.com) and upload the PDF's there (you'd then go into the Office app and move to the 'locations' pivot. In either case, once you open the file in the Adobe Reader app, the PDFs will be stored on the phone until you delete the file yourself. I don't know what other file types you're trying to access, but I have yet to find a file type that won't open (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, TXT files work, MP3, WMA should work, ZIP files will redirect to Internet Explorer but they will be opened).
As far as Windows power users, that wouldn't be on Verizon, that would be Microsoft, and probably chances are it won't change.

  • Crystal Report failed scheduling onto the File System

    Hi,
We have set up a Crystal report file for scheduling via file system. This report has been running fine with regards to generation all through last few months, but has started failing to generate the report at the scheduled time onto the file system from the last few days. When I checked the logs of the Instance Manager, it shows an error like this 'Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. Details: [Database Vendor Code: 1017 ]'.
Please note, I was able to run the report from InfoView without any issue, so I don't believe there is any issue with stored procedure/report/database connection but something else.
Can someone please provide some insights on this.
    Thanks.

    Hello Satish,
Is this issue specific to FileSystem location? What about default enterprise location?
When you view the reprt in InfoView, click on Refresh button to get current data. If the repot was published with Saved Data option, then you would see data in the report but it would be old one.
Above step would confirm that there is no issues with database user credentials specified with the report.
Also, open the report in Crystal Reports 2011, refresh it and publish without saved data in BI 4 repository and schedule it.

  • SQL0968C The file system is full

    Hi All,

    Database error -968 at FET
SQL0968C The file system is full. SQLSTATE=57011

    Our BI is 7.0 version ,DB2 8.1, AIX 5.3.
I checked in db2diag.log and found that temporary tablespace was full at that time.
Following is some example from db2diag.log.

space usage for the file system has been reached. It is also possible
that there are user limits in place with respect to maximum file size

But we tested the same load before with approximatly same amount of data but dont know why its giving the problem this time.
How to solve this temporary tablespace issue is it require to increase the filsystem size. tablespace is in autoextent mode and fiesystem is still 20GB free.

    Hi Manish,
when looking at the error message <a href="http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9/topic/com.ibm.db2.udb.msg-search.doc/doc/sql0968-sch.htm?resultof=%22%53%51%4c%30%39%36%38%43%22%20%22%73%71%6c%30%39%36%38%63%22%20">SQL0968C</a>, the documentation states the following:
    SQL0968C
    The file system is full.
    Explanation:
<b>One of the file systems containing the database is full. This file system may contain the database directory, the database log files, or a table space container.</b>
    The statement cannot be processed.
    User response:
Free system space by erasing unwanted files. Do not erase database files. If additional space is required, it may be necessary to drop tables and indexes identified as not required.
On unix-based systems, this disk full condition may be due to exceeding the maximum file size allowed for the current userid. Use the chuser command to update fsize. A reboot may be necessary.
This disk full condition may be caused when containers are of varying sizes. If there is sufficient space in the file system, drop the table space and recreate it with containers of equal size.
    sqlcode: -968
    sqlstate: 57011
Please check also the other filesystems that belong to the database, not only the one where PSAPTEMP16 is included.
Check, if you are using quotas in your system.
    Kind regards

  • Strategy to reference a file system in the application?

    Hello,
I am working on a web application which has a file system[d:/appname/images] on the application server where images upload by the application are saved.
The file system is referenced in the application code at two different places. One on file upload and another when displaying the image to the client browser.
What is the best strategy to reference the file system in the application context?
Note: Using Struts on the web framework, Spring for the data access framework.
    Thanks,
    Mohideen.

Personally I don't like to reference the file system directly from a web application. What I would do is put the directory in classpath and then use the Class.getResourceAsStream() method to read the files in the web app. This keeps you from accessing the filesysetm directly from the web app.

  • Where exactly the KM folders resides on the file system .??

Please also answer the given questions???
Does the userhome folder in the KM also exists on the file system on the portal server. If yes, whats the navigation for the same.
Where does the favorites specific to a user in the userhome resides on the file system?
Where exactly the KM folder resides on the file system?

The only part of the repository you will find in the filesystem (as a default) would be the /etc repository.  Its specific location depends on your implementation - it could be a local directory or on a share somewhere.
The only other parts of the KM subsystem you would find in the filesystem would be any custom repositories you had defined as FSDB or similar.  Otherwise as reported everything else is stored in the DB.
